Hi all,
Sorry to be so scarce lately. Dad has been in and out of the hospital again. The doctors aren't sure exactly what is wrong, but he is clearly not recovering from his surgery. He can barely get out of bed and is just exhausted all the time. I'm really worried because he has lost over 40 pounds this year and the scale keeps dropping. The docs are trying everything to help him eat (even the rather controversial Marinol to help as an appetite stimulant and nausea med. I know that sounds awful, but he really needs to eat). I frankly think he is just tired and the fight is going out of him. I don't mean to be a downer -- thank you all for letting me vent here.
I find myself busy, but with lots of time on my hands, as I just sit and watch him sleep. My workouts are helping with the stress -- I can't believe how much they help!
Missy, you'll LOVE the hardwood floors! It makes the Cathe's so much easier -- the gliders, the plyo stuff. I do put a mat down to put my barbell on when I'm lifting heavy, but haven't had any problem with scratching/denting. Happy for you!
If I'm not around to say it, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, wonderful winter season!
