Strength in Numbers

This morning I did Yoga! It wasn’t quite as relaxing because I kept hearing Layla getting into things. She has really started to come out of her shell. I had to pause the video once to get DH’s slipper back since she was playing with it. She did ok out of the crate yesterday. No destroying anything but she did leave us a surprise pile of poo. So back in the crate she went today. I do have tomorrow through Monday off so she won’t have to be in there much over the weekend except Saturday when we go to my parents for a get together.

Have a great weekend! See you Tuesday!

Janie Wow, 5.5 miles is a long walk, great job! I bet Bizbee is loving being a beach dog.

Cheryl Yes, I think it could be good for my mom to be with my sister, I just worry that my sister is biting off more than she can chew. I think it is worth a try though. It will be hard that she is so far away from here though. Great job on FS Shred cardio and bonus abs. That is a windfall in the penny slots, congratulations! I love watching the geese, but they can be a real nuisance sometimes. I was laughing because when I got to the vet this morning to drop off the kittens there were 2 in the parking lot. I was wondering if they were waiting to see the Doctor :D

Julie Great job PUQ and GG. I hope that Layla does well being uncrated today. That is nice that you have the camera to see what they are up to. I'm hoping that my mom will do better being with my sister. She stayed with her when we were there in October for my sisters service and talked about how much she would like to live there.

This morning I did S&S total body giant sets plus the bonus abs. Four of the kittens are in getting their spay/neuter today. Pippa is supposed to be picked up tomorrow, but she has been fighting a cold so she might be here a little longer until she is feeling better.

Oops, I wrote this yesterday and never posted it. Great job on yoga this morning Julie. So glad that Layla did pretty well out of the crate. Not a nice surprise from her, but it could have been worse. I'm so happy that she is adjusting so well.

This morning I did Rhythmic step. I had a terrible sleep so I wanted to do something funned it did the trick. I was worrying about the new little kittens because they aren't eating or playing anymore and have bad diarrhea. I'm pretty sure it is worms and I gave them dewormer, so I'm hoping to see some improvement soon. They did eat a little bit this morning, so I'm hopeful that the medicine is helping. Have a great day.

Pam

This morning was FS LI and metabolic conditioning. I'm thinking I don't like this one very much. Two much gliding disc stuff for me My new little guys are still not really eating and not really playing :-( I did give them some kitten milk with some pedialyte which they seemed to like, but I'm sure hoping they perk up soon. Pippa went to her new home yesterday and is now Olivia. I already got pictures from them and it looks like she is doing just fine in her new home. Have a great day!

Pam

Cheryl, Great job on FS Shred Cardio and the added bonus abs. Wow, I never win, ever.

Julie, Great job on PUQ and GG. Hop Layla can be out of crate. Fingers crossed.

Pam, Great job on Rhythmic Step. Hope you get better sleep tonight. And also for doing FS LI and metabolic conditioning. Hope your little guys can continue to enjoy kitten milk and pedialyte.

I'm experiencing busking (playing my guitar and singing in front of a store). It is SO much fun! Got money too. Will do it again tomorrow. HA! What a hoot!

Julie Great job on PUQ and GG. Hopefully Layla and Sheba didn't get into too much trouble while you were at work. Geese can be very territorial especially when they have little ones. Good job on yoga even though Layla was getting into things. Well I think I would rather have a surprise pile of poo over a surprise of pee.

Pam Ha ha too funny about the geese in the vet's parking lot. Great work on S&S Total Body Giant Sets and the bonus abs and Rhythmic Step. I hope the kittens are doing better now. I would be worried too. Good work on FS LI and Metabolic Conditioning. That is one of the ones that I do like. I am glad to hear that Olivia (Pippa) is doing well in her new home.

Janie That would be fun to busk and to get money for it too.

Sorry that I have been MIA but it has been a really busy week and this is the first time since Tuesday that I have been able to sit down at the computer. Wednesday morning I did STS disc 17 Legs and then I went to volunteer at the SPCA. In the afternoon I went and got groceries and then in the evening we went with friends to dinner and then saw Deadpool 2. It was a great movie and it was all shot around here. Saw some familiar places in the movie. Thursday morning I did some sort of cardio though I can't remember what it was. After that we went to my parents and got the lawn mowed and weeding done. In the evening I went dragon boating though our club was still under water so we had to go somewhere else to do it. Friday I did STS disc 18 Back and Biceps, then I got the laundry and vacuuming done. After that I was busy get food and things ready for the dragon boat regatta today. It was a little disappointing I was hoping that we would do better than last in the B division. Oh well we have some things to work on.

Cheryl

Janie Busking? I've never heard that term before. What fun! And getting some money to boot. How cool is that?!

Cheryl No worries on being MIA, it happens to all of us sometimes. You really did have a busy week! Wow! I think you had a birthday in there too? If so, hope it was great! Great job on Disc 17, your afternoon at the SPCA, your mystery cardio, dragon boating, and disc 18! Sorry that you didn't do better in the regatta, hopefully it was a learning experience and you will do better next time. I've been hearing a lot of good things about Deadpool 2, I guess I will have to go see it.

Yesterday morning I did To the Max, then took the kittens to the adoption event at the Petsmart. It was really slow and they were stressed out of course. Someone was interested in Lucy, but since she has to go with Ricky they ended up getting a different kitten since they only wanted one. Lucy and Ricky are too bonded to separate. After the adoption event I took the littlest new kitten to the vet since she was still not eating or playing. He didn't find anything specifically wrong with her, but gave her some fluids and put her on some meds in case it is bacterial. All 3 of them ate last night and again this morning, so I'm hopeful that they are starting to turn around. He didn't sound terribly promising about her prognosis, but I'm hoping that this will all help. This morning I did Cardio Kicks because I was in need of a fun one. That one always does the trick. Now I have my mom over visiting the kittens and hanging out for awhile. Have a great day.

Pam

I took yesterday as a rest day and this morning I did the Gauntlet from the Terminator disc and abs from LIC. I was dripping wet when I was done. I got a call from the woman from the Rescue on Sunday afternoon asking if I could bring Ricky and Lucy over to the adoption event because someone was there that saw their picture and came in to meet them. They loved them and ended up taking them home, so now I only have one left that is adoption ready. The little ones have been eating great, seem to have finally kicked their diarrhea, and are starting to play a little again. They have all gained some weight too, so I'm feeling a lot better about their chances. Have a great day!

Pam

I had a really great 4 day weekend! It actually didn’t seem to fly by like they mostly do. I only worked out on Friday and finished up PUQ and GG. I feel I need to move on but will continue to include pullup type work into my workouts. I got a ton of cleaning down on Friday and then had a get together all day Saturday. Sunday was some running errands and Monday was a lazy day. This morning I did Afterburn. I haven’t done that one in full since October of 2016! I didn’t use the same weights as Cathe and snuck in some extra pauses and a less reps on some exercises but I felt I did pretty good for how long it has been.

Pam Great job on RS especially on low sleep! Great job on FS LI & MC! I have been terrible in not doing too much of the new FS series but am oddly excited about the new LITE series. Great job on TTM! Yea on the adoptions and the kittens doing better. Great job on CK and the Gauntlet + LIC abs!

Janie How fun to play your guitar in front of a store. And a nice way to receive a little pocket change too!

Cheryl No worries on being MIA! Living life off the computer is important. Great job on STS D17 Legs! Is Deadpool 2 better than 1! I am looking forward to seeing it but will wait till it comes out on DVD or Amazon to rent. Great job on your mystery cardio and STS D18 Back and Biceps! Bummer about the placement at the regatta but as you said, something to work for.

Have a great day!

Cheryl, Don't worry about being MIA. Life has away of keeping us busy. Great job on Wedn. for doing STS disc 17 legs and volunteering for SPCA. You are a special girly girl. Thursday for doing some sort of cardio, mowed your parents lawn and weeded and your dragon boating. For Friday STS disc 18 back and biceps, vacuuming. And Dragon boat regatta. Next time.

Pam, Great job on To the Max and took the kittens to the adoption event at Petsmart. Hopefully the littlest kitten will feel better soon.

Congrats on Ricky and Lucy for a new home!

Julie, Glad you had a great 4 day weekend. Great job on Friday and finished up on PUQ and GG. Also for getting things done around the house. Also for doing Afterburn. Congrats for doing a full one! WhooHoo!

Joe and I did lots of walking during the Holiday. Today, I noticed our pet pen (where our animals potty) needed some more sand in it. So I took 3 trips to the beach on my trycycle and filled 2 very large buckets of sand and spread it in the pen. Then I did TBS. Whew! Those were my workouts today.

Have a great day everyone.

Janie

Pam Yep it was my birthday last Tuesday, that was the reason we went to the casino. I wanted to do something a bit different. I really liked Deadpool 2, I thought it was really funny. Good job on TTM, Cardio Kicks and the Gauntlet and the abs from LIC. I am glad that the kittens are doing a lot better and have kicked their diarrhea. That is great that Ricky and Lucy were adopted, hopefully your last one will get adopted soon.

Julie That is great that you really felt like you had a good four days off instead of it going by so fast. Good job on PUQ and GG and all of your cleaning. Great work on Afterburn. Wow you know when you did that workout last? You must keep really good track of your workouts. I don't know if Deadpool 2 is better than 1 but I liked both of them equally.

Janie Good work on TBS and getting the buckets of sand from the beach for your pet pen.

Sunday morning I did Yoga Relax and then in the afternoon we went over to my parents because one of my cousins from Alberta was visiting with their family. I was really tired yesterday morning so I decided to take it off but I did go dragon boating in the evening. This morning I did Low Impact Challenge and then I went to a doctor's appointment. I seem to be having problems with food again so I want to be tested again for allergies to see what has changed. I will see how long it will take to get in to see him.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

I did Supercuts this morning. I forgot about the fun 8 rounds of 5 situps plus 5 pushups at the end. Ugh! That is some tough stuff!

Janie Great job on your Holiday walks with Joe! The 3 trips to the beach and back with that sand was probably quite a workout plus doing TBS on top of it! Wow!!! You go girl!

Cheryl Great job on YR! That was nice to be able to visit your cousins. Good for you for listening to your body and taking the day off to rest if you were so tired. Great job on LIC! I hope you don’t have to wait too long to get news back on your allergies or to see the doctor again. I am so sorry I missed your birthday! Sounds like you had a good one with the wins at the casino. I keep a calendar on Microsoft Word for what I do each day so I just did a search for Afterburn to find out it was almost 2 years ago.

Have a great day!

Julie Great job on Supercuts and the fun 8 rounds of sit ups and push ups. I wanted to do something a bit different for my birthday and winning at the casino made it all the better. That is a great idea to keep a record of all the workouts that you have done. It would be great to go back and take a look at it to see when you did a particular workout.

This morning I did Fit Tower Bootcamp. I am taking this week off from STS since I was so tired at the beginning of the week. I am half way through it and will get back to it next week. After that I went to the SPCA. When I got there we only had 3 rats and 1 mouse, but we received 7 kittens and 5 cats while we were there. The cages were mostly prepped but we had to put food and water in there for them. The kittens are so cute and have so much energy they were running around the cages from the time we put them in until I left. I am sure they crashed soon after for a snooze. Two of the cats were shaved because they were so badly matted. They were really nice looking cats, they reminded me of Tigger when we got him the lion cut. I am sure the kittens will not be there next Wednesday and most of the cats will be adopted as well. It is always a surprise to see what we will be looking after each week.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

This morning I did Cardio Supersets. This feels more than just cardio and disc mountain climbers seem so much harder than regular mountain climbers. At least to me they do. Layla has been making great strides and is finally getting better about going in and out without her leash on. Then this morning I hit her with the door because I didn’t see her. I wanted to cry and stay home and snuggle her all day. I hope this doesn’t set her back to being scared of the door again.

Cheryl Great job on FT BC! That is a good idea to take a break week from STS. Workouts at that intensity build up over time. Oh the kittens do sound adorable. That is a good thing that they probably won’t be there long if that means they get adopted quickly.

Have a great day!

Julie I'm so glad that you had such a great 4 day weekend. Great job finishing PUQ and GG and getting so much cleaning done. Great job on AB. Wow, I can't believe you know the last time that you did it. That one always gives me bad glute DOMS. Great job on supercuts and those 8 rounds of su+pu. That is the main reason I don't do that workout very often!

Janie Great job on all of your walks over the weekend and you sand hauling and TBS. The sand workout sounds like it would be pretty intense!

Cheryl That is pretty cool that you did so well at the casino on your birthday too. Great job on YR, dragon boating, and LIC. I hope that you are able to get in quickly and figure out what is going on with your allergies. I have heard that allergies change every 7 (?) years I think? Great job on FT Bootcamp. It makes sense to take a break from STS when you are feeling so tired. I never get tired of watching kittens play. it's amazing how much energy they have.

Julie Great job on Cardio Supersets. It definitely feels like more than just cardio and I agree that those disc mountain climbers are a lot harder than the regular ones. So glad that Layla has been making such strides, I sure hope accidentally hitting her doesn't set her back. I know you felt absolutely terrible and hopefully since she trusts you it won't have a big impact on her.

Yesterday my friends and I did a 22 mile bike ride and this morning I did S&S RUUP+bonus abs. The little kittens continue to be doing great and little Velma is almost a pound now! She was only 10 ounces on Saturday, so I feel like that is great progress. I go an email Tuesday from the guy who adopted Ricky and Lucy saying that they love them, the kittens are so happy there, but his wife discovered that she can't be in the same room with them or look them in the eye, so he brought them back. I have a feeling that he didn't tell his wife he was getting them and she was not pleased about it. In any case they are back here and just as sweet and happy as always, so hopefully they'll find a good home soon. Have a great day.

Pam

This morning I did CrossFire (which just so happened to also be the deal of the day)! I was so proud of myself for getting through it, even though I did cut out a few reps early on some exercises like those evil half turn jumps and paused a few times around the disc jack pushups. Layla seemed to bounce back from my hitting her with the door but she did have a pee incident last night while we were sleeping for the first time in a week. The last two nights she has also been restless at night pacing and staring off at the shadows on the wall (I hope we don’t have a ghost). Poor girl is afraid of shadows some times.

Pam I keep a Microsoft Word calendar file with a running history of my workouts. I use it to create the upcoming month rotation and then just keep adding to it. Oh I got some glute DOMS from all the workouts I did this week. Great job on your 22 mile bike ride and S&S RUUP + bonus abs! Good news about Velma (love the name)! So sad about Ricky and Lucy and what was he thinking. How did he not know his wife didn’t like/want cats or think to ask her first? So crazy! At least he brought them back to you instead of dumping them in another shelter or worse.

Have a great weekend!

Julie I think we were reading each others minds because I did Cardio Supersets on Thursday too. It definitely is more than just cardio and the disc mountain climbers are harder than the regular mountain climbers. I hope Layla bounces back from the door incident. I would feel bad too if I had of done that.

Pam I have heard that allergies change every 7 years too. I was first diagnosed 3 1\2 years ago and I know that I was suffering from them long before that. I was told that the wait list was 2 to 4 months before I could get in to see him. I wanted the same allergist that I had previously. That is better than the 10 months I had to wait initially. Great job on your 22 mile bike ride and S&S RUUB + bonus abs. I am happy that the kittens are doing great. Wow Velma must have been pretty tiny if she is a pound now. That is so weird about the guy who adopted Ricky and Lucy but it is great that he brought them back to you so they can get a great home.

Julie Great job on Crossfire. That is a hard one so don't worry if you have to pause to get through it. Glad that Layla bounced back from being hit from the door. It will probably take her a while before she really settles down. Hopefully you don't have a ghost, we did when we first moved into our place but she is gone now. The person who lived there previously died there and I did see her ghost several times. It is a very weird feeling.

So Thursday morning I did Cardio Supersets and then we went out to my parents to do their yard work for them. That night I went dragon boating and it was the first night that we could go back to our regular place. The water has gone down a lot. This morning I really slept in, I guess I was really tired so I just did FS Mixed Cardio and then I got all the laundry and housework done. I even unclogged a drain.

Have a great weekend.

Cheryl

Read all your posts. Glad to see everyone doing their workouts. All seems well for all of you. At least nothing you can't handle. YES!

I rested for a couple of days, and now thinking maybe it's to long of a rest. Maybe I will try one day again, except do absolutely nothing (no exercises) for one full day. I was walking everyday, which was to hard on my body. It takes awhile to figure things out. So, tomorrow will walk a few miles or so and do a workout, then skip a full day from exercises. And do it again in that order. Hope this time it works.

Julie Great job on Crossfire. I think that is one of her toughest, so no shame in cutting out a few reps of a couple of things. The disc jack pushups always kill me. I'm so glad that Layla bounced back from being hit by the door. That is weird about her staring at the shadows, I think it would freak me out a little. I didn't have a great feeling about the guy when he adopted Ricky and Lucy. All of the others I have met and just known it was going to be a good fit, but I didn't get that this time. I guess as you say your instincts tend to be right. I was really glad that he brought them back to me though. He also gave me the carrier and a bag of litter and cat food that he bought.

Cheryl Wow, 2-4 months seems like a long wait to see the allergist, he must be really good. Yes, Velma was tiny and didn't look healthy. The vet described her as looking emaciated, which was pretty accurate. She's still small, but twice the weight that he was when I got her. Get job on cardio Supersets, yard work, and dragon boating. It's nice that you got to go back to your regular place. You must have needed the sleep if you slept in like that, Great job on FSMC, laundry, and housework. Wow, you are a plumber now too!

Janie It does take awhile to figure out what is best for you and getting the right balance of exercise and rest. I hope your new plan works well for you.

Friday morning my friends and I did another 22 mile bike ride. I didn't workout yesterday because I finally water skied! This is the latest I have ever started the season. I wasn't expecting to go this week either because my DH is out of town, but one of the guys sent me a text and said that they were going yesterday morning if I wanted to join them. I was so glad I did. It was a little windy, but I skied really well, especially for the first time this year. This morning I did KPC and now need to get some housework done before going to see my mom. Have a great day!

Pam

Pam, Great job on Friday for biking 22 miles. That always amazes me! And for water skiing. Sounds like a lot of fun. And for doing this morning KPC. Whew!

Today is my rest day. Tomorrow, I have plans. LOL

Janie It takes a bit to figure out what your body can handle. I hope your plan works for you.

Pam I think we only have a couple of allergists in our area of a few million people so that is probably why I have to wait. It is the same person who I saw the first time and I really liked him so I wanted to go back to him. I hope Velma continues to put on weight and gets healthy. Good job on your 22 mile bike ride. I am glad that you could finally get out to water ski. June does seem late in the season to start but at least you got started. Great job on KPC too.

Janie Enjoy your rest day and the plans that you have for tomorrow.

Saturday I did Flex Train and then I went to help out with a learn to dragon boat session in the afternoon. This morning I just did segment 3 of Stretch Max and then went to the farmers market.

Have a great day.
