Strength in Numbers

Cheryl Great job on rock em sock em and your walk. You seem to be getting more nice weather lately, that has to make you happy!

This morning for me was Total body giant sets plus the bonus abs. I didn’t think I liked those abs at first, but I really like them now. I think because I’m a little more comfortable with the plank series. Have a great day!

Pam

Friday I did PUQ and GG and then did some things around the house. Saturday I did RWH Plyo HiiT 2 + bonus abs 2 in my other pair of new shoes. I really like both that I got. After that it was chores and giving the dogs baths. Sunday was my rest/lazy day. This morning I woke up with sore throat but I was able to get PUQ and GG in. Ozzie has been doing better with eating but he still only wants the chicken and vegetables and of course anything we are eating.

Pam Great job on your 30 mile bike ride. Wow 75 sounds wonderful. We are having a rainfest today and tomorrow. Great job on Intensity plus SJP abs! No Intensity will always be one of Cathe’s killers. Great job on TBGS plus bonus abs! That plank series is no joke at first.

Cheryl Good for you for listening to your body and stopping when you weren’t feeling good. Great job on MM timesaver. We got about an inch on Sunday of snow and then it was all gone within a few hours. Great job on ICE RSK plus a walk! It’s always a good day when you get a walk in.

Have a great day!

Julie Great job on PUQ and GG, Plyo Hiit 2,bonus abs, abs PUQ and GG. I hope that your sore throat doesn’t amount to anything more. I always get worried when I wake up with one. That is great that you like both of your pairs of shoes, are your feet feeling better since you got them? At least Ozzie is eating, although it makes it tougher for yoh when yoh can’t give him dog food!

Yesterday my friends and I did a 28 mile bike ride. It was a nice day and the weekend, so the trail was really crowded. We have been getting spoiled by having it mostly to ourselves when we go. This morning bonus abs. Then my gf brought her grandson over to play with the kittens. They slept for about 4hours after he left, so I guess he wore them out. They are already getting neutered on Wednesday, and it looks like one of them will be going to his new house on Thursday! Have a great day!

Pam

Pam The sunny weather does make me happy. It is still cold out but I will take that over warm and wet. Good work on TBGS and the ab work. I will have to do the abs in that series again because I don't remember them.

Julie Great work on PUQ and GG, RWH Plyo HiiT 2 + bonus abs 2. Glad that you are liking your new shoes, they really do make a difference. I hope that your sore throat doesn't amount to anything, good job on PUQ and GG. I am glad that Ozzie is eating , don't they always want what you are having.

Pam Good work on your 28 mile bike ride. You do get spoiled in being able to do things in the middle of the week and avoid the crowds. Her grandson must have really tuckered out the kittens if they slept for 4 hours. Which of the kittens got adopted?

Saturday I did Yoga for Strength. We were suppose to go out for our first dragon boat practice but because it was going to snow Saturday night we didn't get the boats in the water. It isn't looking like we will for this weekend either. Sunday morning I woke up to the snow plow going through our complex around 2am o_O. And it just wasn't one pass that he did but he went by 4 times. It sure didn't help with sleeping. In the morning we did have a couple of inches of snow and I went with a couple of friends to the Wellness Show that was in Vancouver. It was nice to just be able to walk down to the transit station to get there instead of driving. This morning I did PHA Training and then tacked on the first 6 blasts of Shred Cardio. It was another really nice day though the temperature was only in the mid to high 20's but I went out of a really refreshing walk. This evening I went to my dry land training session. It was cold but we warmed up after we got going.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

This morning I woke up feeling terrible. Runny/stuffy nose and no sleep. I decided to forego my workout and try to sleep in. Ozzie decided I made a pretty good kicking bag all night. It’s still morning but I am already ready for bed again. Luckily I am working from home so I don’t have to look to presentable to people. It is Ozzie’s chemo day so hoping for good news.

Pam Great job on your 28 mile bike ride plus bonus abs! How cute that the kittens got worn out. Wow one of them is already adopted out that is great. Yes my feet are feeling much better with my new shoes. My feet had been giving me troubles the last several months but I didn’t think anything of it until it got really bad. Yes, I have to make chicken for Ozzie every couple of days. But he is worth it. Spoiled guy is even getting the expensive free range chicken.

Cheryl Great job on Yoga for Strength! What a bummer about having to put off getting in the water. That is definitely not a friendly sound of the snow plow. I mean I appreciate what they do but I hate they have to do it. Great job on PHA plus 6 blasts of Shred Cardio. That would be a refreshing and brisk walk with that temp. You are so good going out in that cold of temps. I am so wimpy and need it to be at least mid 50s.

Have a great day!

Cheryl Boris is adopted, or I guess pre-adopted. They are taking him home to make sure he gets along with Lenny, who they adopted from me last summer. Given that they already have his new name selected (Bo) I’m thinking they are planning to keep him. Great job on yoga for strength. Bummer that you weren’t able to get the boats in the water. I don’t think I would want to be on the water in the snow though. Oh man, the snow plow is not a good sound to wake up to at 2am. Actually, nothing is good to wake up to at 2 am. Great that you could get to the wellness show without having to drive, wenpretty much have to drive everywhere. Great job on PHA and the first 6 blasts of shred cardio, You must have had a ton of energy! I’m not sure I could psych myself up to go out for a walk when it was that cold out, even if it was sunny. So is your dry land training outside?

Julie Oh no, so sorry to hear that you are feeling lousy. I hope that you recover quickly. Not sleeping well makes it feel even worse I’m sure. I hope Ozzie does well with his chemo today. Wow, free range chicken? I don’t even buy that for us! I usually change my workout shoes about every 6 months and can really tell a difference when I switch, so I can’t imagine shoes that were a couple of years old. I bet your feet are very happy now.

This morning was shred cardio+push day. The push day is so hard for me for some reason. It seems like she barely has any rests between the sets. My arms are humming now, so I know I will be feeling it tomorrow
Had a great day.

Pam

Julie Sorry that you are feeling terrible. Nice that you could work from home and not have to get dressed to go into the office. I hope you get good news about Ozzie's chemo. My walk was very refreshing. I don't mind the cold as long as I am dressed for it.

Pam Lucky Boris. That is nice that they adopted Lenny from you last year and now need a friend for him. If they already picked out his new name I am sure they will keep him. I am not sure if I had a ton of energy but the cold air does put a pep in my step. Yes the dry land training is outside but it is undercover. It isn't too bad once you get going and warm up. Great job on Shred Cardio and Push Day. The weight work does move fast with very short breaks.

Well I was really feeling yesterday's workouts. My shoulders and the back of my neck were pretty sore. I did do RWH LIHI Legs, I was suppose to do core as well but since I worked my core last night I decided to give my abs a bit of a break.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

This morning I was feeling a little better. Good enough to eek out PUQ and GG. Ozzie was able to continue his chemo treatments and they said he is still doing good. They think his appetite issues are coming from being on the antibiotic for his bladder infection. He has two more days of that so hopefully he will get hungry for his regular dog food again. Although I am guessing he has taken a liking to the good stuff he is getting now. Oh and I got rear-ended on the way home from the vet after picking him up. It was raining buckets and the car behind me couldn’t stop in time. He tried to swerve but still hit my bumper. I was in the pickup truck and when I looked at the bumper it seemed fine to me so I didn’t exchange any info with the guy. Got home and DH pointed out that the bumper was dented and pushed up. He said it probably didn’t need fixing. Whoops, I obviously just wanted to get out of the rain and back home and wanted everything to be ok that I didn't notice that.

Pam Great job on SC + Push Day! Cathe seems to take no rest time between weight sets. I am terrible about remembering to replace my shoes. But I do only wear each pair 1-2 days a week most of the time. I do weight training bare foot and I rotate between two pairs when I do wear them. That is my way of trying to make them last a little longer.

Cheryl Great job on RWH LIHI Legs with being sore in the shoulders and neck! That one can be kind of heavy on the arms and neck so that is awesome. I don’t blame you on skipping core!

Have a great day!

Cheryl Great job on LIHI legs, hopefully your neck and shoulders are feeling better today.

Julie I’m glad to hear that you we feeling better and you were able to do PUQ and GG. I’m so glad to hear that Ozzie is still doing well with his chemo. He is probably spoiled for the good food now though, I imagine it will be had to get him to go back to his regular dog food. That is a bummer about getting rear ended and not noticing the damage. I probably wouldn’t have noticed either. At least it is something that doesn’t need to be fixed. That is a good idea alternating your shoes, I never thought of that!

This morning was the last meeting of the knitting group since it is getting too warm for scarves. Someone suggested a new project though, so we might start meeting again. After that I went for a 21mile bike ride with my gf. One of the women that I met at the knitting group likes to ride and she rides with a couple of other women. They sometimes ride from Raleigh to Durham, have lunch, and then take the train back. She asked me to come do that with them, so we may try to do that next week. Have a great day!

Pam

This morning was Fit split low intensity+metabolic conditioning and the abs from muscle endurance. Yesterday afternoon I ended up spending at my moms. I was on my way over there when they called to tell me they had called an ambulance for her. I asked them not to send her to the hospital because she has been there 5 times for the same thing and they never find anything wrong. I don‘t think they were happy with me for that, but they even said that both the doctor and they think that she is putting a lot of it on. She was fine when the paramedics were there, and as soon as she found out they were not taking her she started having issues again. Within 10 minutes she was talking away to me with no breathing issues, and when someone else walked in she started putting it on. Ay yi yi. Today she is completely back to normal. I think it is the dementia, but who knows. I just heard from the vet that the kittens are out of surgery, so I will be going to pick them up soon. Have a great day.

Pam

Julie Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Good job on PUQ amd GG. That is great that Ozzie can still continue his chemo treatments. Ummm going back to his regular dog food might be hard after having the good stuff for a while. That sucks that you got rear ended and didn't notice the damage. If it was raining out I probably wouldn't have either. At least it wasn't bad enough that it needed fixing.

Pam Good work on your 21 mile bike ride. That would be a fun ride to go for lunch and then take the train back. It must be a long ride to not do it both ways. Great job on Fit Split Low Intensity + Metabolic Conditioning and the abs from Muscle Endurance. It might be dementia but it sounds like your mom is putting it on so she doesn't have to stay at the care home. I hope everything went well with the kittens neutering.

Yesterday morning I did RWH Plyo 2 + Push Day. Yep she certainly doesn't have a lot of rest time in that one. Then it was grocery shopping. In the evening I went to see Joy McCarthy who is a holistic nutritionist. She was doing a talk on 10 health hacks for busy people. This was the second time that I have seen her and I really like her. She signed one of her cookbooks that I have too. It was snowing out too so it was slow going both there and back. Today was a rest day so I got some laundry done and then DH had a doctor's appointment in the afternoon. It was clear and cold out today but we are suppose to get more snow by the morning. I am so looking forward to some warmer weather.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

Yesterday I woke up not feeling very good but I decided to try Party Rockin Step #2. I made it to through most of combo 4 before I called it quits. Once Cathe got to the power box and power scissors, I was done. I did not feel like I could do that. Work was so busy so I didn’t get a chance to post. Last night I broke down and took Nyquil. It seemed to help because I felt better this morning. I am still not 100% but hopefully getting there. I was able to eek out PUQ and GG. So ready to try to recoup some energy over the weekend. Ozzie didn’t want to eat this morning so I am thinking his chemo treatment from Tuesday is catching up to him. Hopefully he is not getting sick of chicken.

Pam Great job on your 21 mile bike ride! What would you be knitting next? Oh that sounds fun to ride from Raleigh to Durham and take the train back after lunch. How long of a ride would that be? Great job on FS LI+MC and ME abs! Oh no, I am so sorry about your mom. That has to be so stressful for you and the people working with her.

Cheryl Great job on RWH Plyo 2 + Push Day! That would be interesting to hear health hacks for busy people. Easy shortcuts are always nice to know. Ugh more snow. Our weather has been having 20-40 degree temperature swings almost daily for the last week or so. I am sure that is part of why I got a nasty cold.

Have a great weekend!

Julie Good for you in getting in 4 rounds of PRS #2 before calling it quits. The power box and power scissors would be hard if you are not feeling your best. Nyquil does help me if I am not feeling my best though I do feel tired in the morning. Good job on PUQ and GG. Hopefully Ozzie is just feeling the effects of the chemo and will be back to himself soon. That is a lot to have 20 - 40 degree temperature swings, no wonder why you have a cold.

This morning was RWH Lower Body Circuit. It is one I haven't done in a long time and it felt like a brand new workout. Then I got the vacuuming done. It snowed a lot today so I had to go out and do a lot of shovelling. But before that I walked down to the liquor store and picked up a bottle of wine. It just seemed like a wine kind of day. Then I got to the shovelling for about an hour and a half. More snow has fallen but I will wait until tomorrow morning to go back out to do more shovelling.

Have a great weekend.

Cheryl

Cheryl The ride from Raleigh to Durham is 44 miles, so yes, it would be a lot to ride there and back! The kittens neutering went just fine, they were home and running around like nothing had happened that night. great job on Plyo hiit 2 and push day. I remember you talking about the holistic nutritionist before. How was the talk, did you get any good tips? It seems like you are having a much cooler and snowier winter than normal, is that true?

Julie Sorry to hear you were still feeling bad but good job getting through most of PRS 2 anyway. Good job getting in PUQ and GG despite still not feeling great, I hope you are 100% soon. Oh no, I hope Ozzie is back to eating again. The next knitting project is something called a market bag. They look pretty cute, but the knitting pattern I found looks complicated. I might need to learn to crochet since the crochet pattern is much easier. The ride from Raleigh to Durham is 44 miles.

Cheryl Great job on RWH LBC. I love it when one of my workouts feels new again. Wow, you got a double workout with the snow shoveling. I hope your weather warms up soon.

Friday morning I did Fit Split Boxing Bootcamp+legs and glutes, yesterday was Tabatacise 1-5 plus bonus core 1, and today I went for a 24 mile bike ride. It was just the perfect weather for a bike ride, I'm so happy to not have to be all bundled up to ride anymore. Today was shorts and short sleeves. All our trees are in bloom and the daffodils are out, I just love this time of year. All 3 of my kittens got adopted this weekend. Boris went home Friday morning and the other 2 got adopted at yesterdays adoption event. Of course I have 4 new ones already! These are about 6-7 weeks old and all girls. They are as cute as can be. Have a great day!

Pam

Pam 44 miles would be a lot to ride there and back. Glad that the neutering went well. It is amazing how fast they can recover and run around like nothing ever happened. The talk was good. There were some good tips, some that I already knew but have a problem sometimes implementing them such as meal prepping for the week. Being retired sometimes I don't think I need to until the week gets busy and I have nothing ready to eat . I was colder and snowier last year. This winter was quite mild until the last couple of weeks. It does look like it will be warming up and raining again this week. Great work on Fit Split Boxing Bootcamp + Legs and Glutes, Tabatacise 1 -5 and bonus core 1 and your 24 mile bike ride. Lucky you to be able to wear shorts and short sleeves. Wow those kittens sure did get adopted fast this time. You are going to have to share pictures of your new girls

Saturday I did RWH Upper Body Circuit and then it was more snow shoveling. We got well over a foot of snow, and though I am not a fan of snow it sure did look pretty. Today was Yoga Relax and in the afternoon I went out for a walk. It was sunny but it sure was cold especially when I got down to the water the wind was really cold. I couldn't do my normal route since the snow was walked on so much that it was pretty icy so I stuck to the street instead of the trails.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

Saturday I did Cycle Sweat. I was starting to feel better and thought about doing the extreme version but thought I better just stick to the regular time so I don’t set myself back. After that, DH and I had to run errands then I had to work from home a little. Sunday was a lazy day. This morning I did PUQ and GG. Ozzie has been doing really well eating but he is having pretty bad diarrhea again. I had to leave DH along to clean it up so I could make it to work on time. We are trying one medication now and if it is not better go to a more robust med tomorrow.

Cheryl Great job on RWH LBC! That is a tough one but also fun. Great job on shovelmax too but I’ll be happy when we don’t have to worry about anymore until later this year. Yeah, Ozzie got a pretty intense chemo treatment last Tuesday and I think it is catching up to him. Great job on RWH UBC and more shovelmax! Wow that is a lot of snow. I am not a huge fan of snow either but I agree it looks beautiful. I also love ice storms they way they make the trees look. Great job on YR and your walk!

Pam Great job on FX BBC + L&G, Tabatacise plus core 1, and your 24 mile bike ride. Wow shorts and short sleeves sounds great for February. We have nicer temps in the 40s and I saw one guy in shorts on Saturday and called him crazy. Flowers already, that is awesome. Is this early Spring or is this normal for your area? Yea! So glad the 3 kittens were adopted out and 4 new kittens to play with.

Have a great day!

Cheryl I have a hard time with meal prepping too. I am really bad about advance planning for meals at all. Usually if I do plan ahead it is only by 1 day. I guess it seems like you've had a longer winter mainly because it has all happened in the last couple of weeks, but I think I remember you were having mild weather when we were having our crazy cold stuff. Great job on RWH UBC and shoveling. That is quite the workout in itself, especially with that much snow. You're right that it sure is pretty right afterwards though. Great job on YR and your walk too.

Julie Great job on CS. It was smart of you to not go too crazy despite feeling better. Get job on PUQ and GG. Poor Ozzie with the diarrhea. That is no fun to clean up either. Hopefully the medication will help. This is pretty much our normal spring. We could still get some colder weather, but for the most part things should start warming up now.

Yesterday afternoon I went to visit my mom and took the kittens to my friends house for a playdate with her grandchildren. They were so excited and it was really good for the kittens to get that socialization. I noticed a big difference in them not running and hiding from me after we got home. This morning was High Reps, another inspiration from Cheryl and one that I haven't done in a long time. My arms are talking to me now, so I imagine I will be feeling it tomorrow. Have a great day.

Pam

Julie Great job on Cycle Sweat. You were smart to not overdo it and just stick to the regular workout. Good job on PUQ and GG too. I am glad that Ozzie is doing better except for the diarrhea. That is not fun to clean up at all. I hope the meds help him.

Pam Yes I do seem to remember that we were having mild temperatures when you were getting the cold stuff. We have now swapped weather but we were never as mild as you are right now. I am a bit jealous of your weather right now since I am freezing and I haven't been able to warm up at all today. A playdate would have been fun for them. That is probably just what they needed for their confidence. Good work on High Reps and you are welcome for the inspiration.

This morning was Step Moves. I have my last dry land training session tonight but I don't want to go because I am so cold and I don't want to go outside. I will go but it is tempting just to curl up under a blanket.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

This morning was KPC. I am really going to have to work on the pikes on the ball. I went to the dry land training last night and I think I felt the coldest I ever have. Normally once we have warmed up I can take off my jacket but last night I had to have it on. I think it felt so cold because of the dampness. Tonight I am going to a dragon boat meeting.

Cheryl

Yesterday was super busy at work so I didn’t get a chance to post. Today is not looking any better. Yesterday I did do Pedal Power scrambled and today I did PUQ and GG. Ozzie has been having his horrible bloody diarrhea again (sorry TMI) and not wanting to eat. The specific chemo he gets every 4 weeks does a number on his poor body for a week after the treatment. He is on meds and I was able to get him to eat salmon and peanut butter cookies last night and this morning.

Pam That is great the kittens and kids got some play time together. Socialization at a young age is so important for dogs, cats, and kids. Great job on HR! Hope your arms aren’t talking to you too bad.

Cheryl Great job on Step Moves! I feel you when it is so cold outside. You are a trooper though with your walks in the cold weather. Great job on KPC! Those pikes are so hard and Cathe makes them look effortless. So exciting dry land training is over because hopefully that means getting back on the water soon.

Have a great day!
