Last night was crazy weather and I did not get a workout in because of it. My normal 45 minute commute took about 90 minutes and was plagued with high winds, flooded roads, and a detour. When I got home, DH wanted me to not work out in case the power went out and he needed help getting the generator running for the sump pump. Turns out the power went out about an hour after I got home. So DH and I got the generator going and hooked up to the sump pump, fridge and one lamp. Good thing because power stayed out until 3 and with all the rain, we would have flooded for sure without it. So at 3 I got up with DH to unhook the fridge from the generator and plug it back into an outlet and he took care of the rest. This morning’s drive was a little better but there were still a lot of roads closed so plenty of detours to take. I appreciate all of the workers and emergency crews that worked long hours in terrible conditions to assure our safety and comfort. I would not want their job.
Pam How fun that you were able to enjoy nice weather on Saturday while eating out. Great job on ICE MTB! That makes me a little excited to here you say they are not intense. I am hoping to use these when I need to take active recovery weeks. Great job on Intensity + Icy Core 2! Oh, I love the idea of a foster fail. It must have meant he snagged a piece of your heart that you couldn’t let him go. Hopefully Shorty and Butters warms up to him soon.
Roxie Great job on Leslie’s Walk Off workout! Exciting about the baby but I hope the roads clear out for you. I live in Central Illinois (near Peoria and Bloomington if you have heard of those two places).
Cheryl Great job on YR and CB! Oh I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is hard and having to put a pet down is hard too. It is always a tough decision but I think when you love your pet as much as you do, you know when it is the right time. I will be thinking of you.
Janie Great job on RSK and CleanMax! I need to clean too. We had to pull our fridge out to plug it into the generator and it is so bad back there. I guess that is what happens when you don’t move a fridge in 15 years.
Have a great day!
