staying motivated during the crazy holiday season

Cathlete
hi Cathe and fellow Catheletes. I have been working out six days a week since my son was six weeks old in july. just recently, I find myself slacking off due to the fact that I am so busy. I haven't worked out in the last two days b/c we had people over, and then yesterday I had to go shopping after my husband got home from work and it was 9 by the time I got home. i can't get up early in teh morning, still getting up at least once a night b/c of the baby and I need my sleep. I cannot workout while my DH is working b/c I have two kids and I just cannot fit in the workout time I want to get in. So it has to be in the evening for me. Plus, I have been noshing on Christmas goodies and I just feel awful about it. I don't want to lose what I have accomplished and I know if I continue to slide it will be harder to get into the groove again once the holidays are over. you are all so dedicated. How do you keep it up during this time of year?

Taking a 'break'

I always take a fitness 'break' during these last two weeks of the year.
With whatever time I have available...I do lots of light total body workouts with yoga and stretching.
It has always made me 'refreshed' for whatever New Year's challenge I'm about to embark on....
This year, of course...that will be STS. :)

Merry Christmas! Not Cathe here, but as you can see I spend my time during the holidays relaxing looking at cathe.com:). Boy, with a baby and two others, don´t be too hard on yourself...this time of year can be really hard. On days that you can´t fit in a workout, be extra careful with your eating. You just don´t want to eat like I have the past 2 days:eek:. So, do what you can and enjoy this time!
