We are using our very last snow day today here in upstate New York. Expecting 6 - 10 inches. Of course that's a man's prediction so it's more like 4 ".
Kids are excited. Light Fluffy snow to makes for easy shoveling!!

Tami,

Hudson Valley NYer here!!! Working from home because of the snow...My kids are so glad to have not school.

My son has no school either (monmouth county nj). I have to work this morning though so he will be coming with me to brave the roads for the peanuts I get paid.

Tooooooo funny. A man's prediction (no pun intended!!!!)

We are off today too but only have 2 inches. But there is ice coming down on top of it. But I plan on playing in it anyway with the boys.

BTW You look mahveeeeelous in your new avatar

enjoy the snow

okay to let you know how messed up my city is. one day they closed school b/c it was TOO cold(okay 20 degrees is cold but no ice,no wind, no snow). yesterday was closed b/c of freezing rain. okay there is freezing rain and below freezing temps and we are just on a delay. and being its only 8am and no phone call i assume they just won't close school today. geesh its to cold to stand out at the bus stop so close school but have school on the morning that its just as cold with cold wind and rains.

yeah i am sure i will have a fun day at work with grumpy students who had to stand in that crap LOL.

but i digress LOL. i used to live in johnstown,ny i remember the snow being taller then i was at the time oh did we love snow days LOL. enjoy yours! do some sledding if you can for me. i miss going down a really big hill in a little just strong enough piece of plastic LOL.

Another upstate (Hudson Valley) NY'er here! My hubby just got done snowblowing about 5 inches off our driveway. It's still coming down! I'm all wrapped up in my hug sack (aka- snuggie) and ready to enjoy a nice warm day indoors! :)

Ontario's white again too! I got to work completely covered in snow (I walk) and I had brought some extra shoes in a bag to wear at work, and I think they got snowier than the ones I wore!

Lots of snow here in southern Ohio- I would guess 6-8 inches and it is coming down fast right now! I must come up with a project for the kids- this is our second day of indoor mania. Yesterday we made a bear cave under the dining room table. Today might be sticker day...

Another upstate (Hudson Valley) NY'er here. I work for the school system and I am more excited than the students to have a snow day today. Well, maybe not. They had their regents exams cancelled.

NE Massachusetts here and we have a snow day too!!! Woohoo!!! We are supposed to get 5-8". DD is dying to go out and play. I love days like this!

Now if only STS was being delivered today instead of tomorrow, I could spend some time snuggled up on the couch previewing it..:(

Have fun everyone!!

For those of you staying home - I'm jealous!!! :) For those out in this mess, be careful! We had only 3" of snow last night, but now we are getting ice. STS is being delivered at my office today though, so I HAD to come in!!! ;)

I'm jealous!! I want a SNOW day but it's not going to happen in South Georgia. I grew up in the Chicago area and I miss them (every once in a while).

Throw a snowball for me and make a snow angel! :)

Have fun and stay safe!!

Northern NJ here, about 4 inches, snow has turned to sleet. I don't mind snow, but I sure am a-skeered of the ice!

No day off for me. I work for the town, if I don't drive in our darned DPW would pick me up. :(

Why thank you Ellie!! You're looking pretty good yourself, although I did likethe clown pic of you & your family!! To cute.

I actually think theymight be right on the 6" - 8 ". Now they're saying 10"- 12" It's coming down pretty good now. Thankful we aren't getting the ice - be careful out there ladies.

Does sound like a great way to spend the day - previewing STS. If only I had a set :(

Eastern PA here and we have a snow day also! I'm as excited as the kiddos! We got about 4 inches of snow and are now getting ice!

Hmmmph!...I dragged myself and DS out in this nasty weather to go to work and when I get there they tell me to go back home cause they don't need all 3 of us today. (in my opinnion the babysitting room should be CLOSED altogether but that's another topic entirely) Anyway, I was happy to come back home but it would have been to get a phone call this morning at home before I left to tell me not to come in. Hello? Use your brain people!

Schools are open in Orchard Park (Buffalo) today, but it's coming down pretty fast. I shoveled about 4" from my sidewalk and driveway, then had about a half inch back on the sidewalk by the time I finish the driveway 20 minutes later. I'm surprised school is open, so I worked from home just in case they close early.

My BF has been stuck on the thruway for an hour, so I'm glad I stayed home!

Another snow/ice day here in North Texas and I'm a teacher so that makes me quite happy to have a free day off.:D Now, if only STS had already been delivered so that I could snuggle up on the couch and pre-view. It's not scheduled to arrive until Friday.

Be careful out there!

Here is Texas we have the day off. And although we call them snow days, they are really ice days. But that is ok since I teach at my sons school it means we are both off. So its 9 in the morning and I am sitting in my pajamas reading all the STS info.

Yes...this is why I went into teaching...hee hee.
