Snow Day!!!!

Another snow/ice day here in North Texas and I'm a teacher so that makes me quite happy to have a free day off.:D Now, if only STS had already been delivered so that I could snuggle up on the couch and pre-view. It's not scheduled to arrive until Friday.

Be careful out there!

Gin - I just read your post really quick and I swear I read "I'm a preacher" not "I'm a teacher". For a minute there I was like "Woah! I didn't know that about Gin!"

Big time snow day here in the Niagara area Ontario, kids are home.
One is away in Ottawa on a school trip, hope this is all cleared up by
Thursday night when they are due to come home.

I have another cold:mad: or it is the same one that just got worse again
going to the couch to have chicken broth and wrap myself in a big blanky.
Wish I had STS to preveiw :(
Can't be long now though :D have a good snow day all.

Bri :)

Liann~That's too funny! No, no preacher here, but I am a teacher.

Cleveland here...we have waaaay over a foot on the ground already! There was still almost a foot from the last snow fall...I am SICK of it. My kiddos have not been able to walk outside on the lawn for weeks. I am doing my spring dance!

No kiddies here, but I'm in Akron Ohio and we have over a foot of snow. All the schools are closed and most businesses as well, but our evil boss won't let us go early :(

I live in Virginia--we don't have many snow days (3 inches of the white stuff yesterday), but we are well acquainted with ice days which is what we had this morning. We don't do well with winter weather down here. Fortunately, I can work at home when the weather is not good and avoid spending most of my work day on I-95 sitting in traffic.

I grew up in NY (Chester, in Orange County) and we used to get lots of snow. I don't remember getting lots of snow days--we went to school pretty much no matter what. Sledding was great. We lived in the country and had great big hills to sled down. We'd get great big snow drifts in the front of our house and made tunnels through them. Great fun. Ahh the joys of childhood.

My husband and I are boaters, so, I'm looking forward to spring--one more month to go and then it will be boating season again. Lots of opportunities for upper body exercise in March and April: wax on--wax off.

HEY MICHELLE,

i am in VA to lynchburg actually. OMG even at 2 in the afternoon the ice on the power lines and trees were just scary. the laundry mat didn't have power and several of our strip mall places were without power. couldn't even go to food lion to pick up a trash tag  trees go down here pretty frequently in these type of storms so several went down and took half a city block of power with them. i just can't believe with these dangerous conditions they had school today. just thankful no power lines or trees went down coming and going to work today. suppose to be another rough night with 25 degrees, more rain, AND WIND! should make for some fun time LOL
