Smilies/emoticons within messages?

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to put smilies/emoticons into messages in this new forum (so I'm stuck doing lame stuff like LOL! and ;-) ...I refuse to type "smile"!).

I see the doohickies to 'label' the entire post, but not highlight pertinent segments of posts.

HELP! (lol!)
 
If you use QUICK REPLY you cant put in smilies but if you click POST REPLY (bottom left of the orig post) you should see all the smiley options:eek:

I had same question a while back ;-)

Kathryn - you need to go to your User CP, under Settings and Options and choose Edit Options. Scroll all the way down to Misc. Options and click on the arrow next to the drop down box and choose Enhanced Interface. Then when you post, you'll have all the options available to you, smilies, text colour, size, etc.

You rock! I now have a month's worth of threads showing, all kinds of font options, and smilies at my posting disposal. :rolleyes::eek::cool::p;):D

I'm happy. **sigh** It really is the simple things...

Me to, I kept trying to put a smiley after a comment and it kept placing it at the top and not where the sentence ended. I will try this myself.

Jonahnah: now don't get wild with illegible yellow font*, too-big or too-small print, and wild blinky things! (ahh..no wild bilinky things....that's good!)

(Hey,I've seen it--well ,at least TRIED to see it, LOL!-- on other forums!)


*yellow font just for clarification purposes. Please, for the love of all that is just, do NOT EVER DO THIS AGAIN...ANYONE!:confused:
 
When I first learned how to scroll an image, I temporarily subjected everyone to a cut out of my head scrolling across the bottom of my posts. :D It was great! :eek:

My gosh, that was time consuming to find all those colors and fonts. **off to get a life now**

Hmmm, now why didn't a quote box show up. Most puzzling.

I'm going to guess that a quote box didn't show up because you took out part of the thing you were quoting and didn't leave the end quote boxes in. ;)
 
WAY TOO COOL!! I've beenwondering the same thing myself - although I only have 11 smilies to choose from... where can I find more?

This is how I changed my smilies too.

Also if you want to add cool emoticon download Zango toolbar
