Should I keep my Timesaver DVD?

Hubby has recently started buying and selling on Ebay. I finally agreed to relinquish my Cathe VHS tapes that I also have on DVD so I've been looking at what I have.

I noticed that my Timesaver DVD seems to be collecting dust. Does anyone use this one? The workouts seem too short. I like 60 minute workouts. I know that I can always add on but I find myself using the premixes and workout blender so much I don't see the advantage right now to the Timesaver.

Can someone who uses these workouts tell me what they like about them? I've only done #5 (the legs I believe) so I don't know what the bonus footage on the other workouts is like.

Thanks in advance!:)
Sue

I think these workouts are wonderful. Each workout has a cardio section (with the exception of legs) followed by one body part. There is a small segment for each body part that contains new footage. I really enjoy these workouts when I'm pressed for time. I feel they are CTX part 2.

Sue, I don't know them well enough to explain all the extra footage but I do know it is one of the most used DVD's for me this past 5-6 months while recovering from an injury. The Workout Blender has been a Godsend to me during this time. I can pick and choose just the parts I want to do. I know that you can basically do that with the other DVD's in this series, but it is sooo nice to have it all on just one DVD. Just my thoughts! (I love #5!Still can't do all of it due to injury, but I use that Workout blender!)

In January, I used this during the week, and then did Boot Camp on the weekend. I saw very good results, and it took less time. I'd keep it. By the way, there's some killer pushups in the bonus chest footage!

Hey Sue

I have not done all the workouts in their entirety, but I do think it is a valuable DVD to keep. Right now I am doing a rotation with the PS series and I wanted to add some cardio on the upper body days. I have found TS cardio an excellent match using the blender. For example, today I did #4 cardio, which was the warm up and then intermediate and high intensity drills from KPC. Then I cooled down just a little and started PS CST right after the warm up. Perfect, and just a little over 60 minutes. There is no premix on KPC similar to this but I sure I could make it. It is just easier for me this way.

Any hoo, just an idea and I vote to keep it. You never know when you may get injured, need a short week, or just want a little extra cardio!

Have a great day!

Nancy

I agree with the others! Its a keeper. I had surgery a couple of weeks ago, and I have to start back to working out in shorter durations. I started the Timesaver series this week and it is perfect. Just enough intensity, but not too long.

You never know, it might come in handy one day.

I agree with the other posters. I started with Timesaver - they're really good workouts and I got some good results from it. I've gone on to her other DVD's but will keep it for timecrunch times or when I feel the need/desire for shorter yet still effective w/o's. And those pushups- AI-YI-YI!:)

I just got rid of all my Firm vhs tapes. Too easy, yet I kept them for years with the idea that I may need them someday. I decided that the Timesaver dvd fit that need perfectly. Just is case I lose ground due to injury, or if I just need to fit something into a day with a bit less time, or whatever. I would keep it for those and other reasons, and get rid of any other "easy stuff" you have over that one:)

Thanks everyone for your feedback!

Killer pushups }( Yikes! Now I'm scared to do Timesaver!:D

I've made up my mind to keep the DVD based on everyone's replies. I liked Nancy's suggestion of combining the cardio with PS-CST. While I could use the Workout Blender on the KPC DVD to do the same thing, this will save a little bit of time.

As far as injuries go, unfortunately I've been there before so that's something to keep in mind.

And yes, I am getting rid of some of my easier videos. I have a stability ball workout (don't recall the name) that bored me to tears so that one is definitely going!

Thanks again,
Sue

I'm completely hooked on the Timesavers and I'm getting results from them too. I don't add on either. I do them as is and love them!

I didn't keep mine. There was too much duplication with the other BB workouts. There is new weight footage, but it's very short, and there is no total upper body pre-mix (how could they have missed that?) which would have made the DVD more attractive to me. The push-up section is tough, but IMHO it's not worth keeping the DVD just for that. I would rather use the money for a DVD with fresh workout footage.

NO...you should wrap it up and put a bow on top and send it to me! LOL

Yes, you should keep it!

I just did the #5 workout today (legs)with CTX Step and Intervals, and it was a great combo that hit everything plus abs. I will definitely be using this one in regular rotation, and tacking on the single body part portions of the other TS workouts to other workouts of the same body part (i.e. CTX back plus TS #2). It's good to mix things up!

Just my 2 cnets, I don't use this DVD much, but I like it anyway. I do the #5 the most, and with the others, I add on to another workout. For example, I might do Imax, then add on the chest and triceps bit of #1, or do all the hi/lo from SJP, then add on the upper body from #2 and #3.

I don't like the short cardios on this DVD. They are not as challenging as CTX is, but I'm still glad I bought this DVD.

I think you would be doing yourself a disservice to get rid of it before you have tried each workout. I'd block out a week to do a Timesaver rotation. I have found that less cardio is not a problem when it comes to staying fit and sometimes it fits the bill, as Debbie said, when an injury occurs, or you are crazy-busy. I like to use Timesver and add the corresponding body part from CTX for bonus strength work. Try it and sell it if you find it doesn't suit your needs.

I don't use my Timesaver a lot right now...but I am keeping it b/c there may be a week or so when I want shorter workouts that hit all the body parts. I also think these will be a great way to maintain my fitness level when I get pregnant or to ease back into Cathe after pregnancy. I vote that you keep 'em! :7
