Sexy moms and happy babies 4/11-4/16

Mel- no no no, you are totally fine! All peeps who did not get theirs today will have them tomorrow. The reason they took so long is I mAde cases for them so had to send boxes. If they have it at the sports store, get mizuno running shirts, they chafe the armpits least and allow for boobs. My boobs do not fit in Nike or underarmor. I love Nike short shorts for running. Get some chafing sticks for inner thighs. I love running with their shorts. Also try thorlo socks. Good luck you will do great! I also find my weight drops a lot when I run. I can do 135 easy but below that is 40 miles a week at least. One thing that is hard for me with the marathon is howuch I miss step. I still do insanity but tone down the step simply bc I do not have enough time.
Allison- do clx and sub in insanity. I really like the results. Insanity has given me a confidence I cannot describe. Even thouh it is hard as all he'll, I crave it. I love how much I sweat and push. Clx is awesome for time being shorter and less equpiment. I am saving STD till fall when I know we will have a schedule. You need enticement? I burn over 150 cals in warm up.... And Jen is right. Who needs kegels with Shaun t? I wore a pad the first month! Pee city but now all good!!!! Go do it! I think you will love it. A heart rate monitor is great. Go go go! I doubt ur arms r big, try clx. It really focuses on finine muscles, not that STD does not, I just love the results I have. Dh tried STD and prefers clx too...
Priscilla- yay you got it! I think we had the same bug. I really thought I was preggo but just sick. Today is the first really normal day. I take benadryl the past two nights since my belly ache keeps me awake and it helped a lot. And do not worry, John gets up still too.
Jen- va va voom! Have a great night! I bought cute undies for the weekend, hope I get the same response!
Susan- lo impact circuit, cede big but rocking her kicks, grrr!
Lisa- get better and tale care of yourself! If you ever want to send me an email I can give you some more insight on boys and mommies. Trust me, daddy cannot fill your shoes.
Kendra- hi!
Ok got to get booger to bed. Ge got the tummy bug and freaks out when alone. Might be a long night.
Waves to all the ladies!

Melanie- dh is better sort of. I have not let him run for five days and made him go to the podiatrist for his Achilles tendinitis. He is doing much better and so cute bc he is so excited to run tomorrow. My race schedule is a cross country half marathon may 23 and full sf marathon July 25 or so. I have not asked dh, but if he went for it we could do a half in berween us or maybe the chicago marathon in October? Think about it.
Y sister lives in Chicago and so do our friends. Dh lived there and so did I. I would do it! As for magazines. I love runners world and womens health and fitness magazine. I absolutely adore www.active.com. Running is a drug to me. I know it is freakish. I love to set retardedly tough goals, crush them, and have beers.
Sil and bil are still morons. I am having grandma and grandpa come here late may and dh and I will go away fir a night ( local in case John has a bleed) and they can hang out . So excited bc dh and I got tickers to a muscle car show fir all of us this weekend. Jimmy is like rainman with cars. Yay!

Oh and ups guy. Hottie! But he got my cell NSC johns meds have to be obernighted on dry ice so when I told him what we are dealing with, he calls me to coordinate delivery and I give him a starbucks or iTunes gift card as little thanks. He also cuts my prices on shients. And.... Brings all the packages in the family room! We live in a small town we see each other ten times a day while I push my love bugs. But he is asorable. Heeeelllllloooo estrogen, thanks for coming back to me!

Anti-chafing -- Melanie, do you have Body Glide? That stuff is the BOMB! I used it both years I did the 60-mile Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk. Used it for all my weeks of training (walking about 40 miles a week), too. I never -- NEVER -- got a blister, even walking in the rain!

That would be cool if Mel and Christine did the Chicago marathon together!!!

Christine and Melanie, thank you for your thoughts on my weights dilemma. It was *DH* who said my "guns are looking big -- better lower those weights." Hrumpffff. Melanie, I definitely have a nice layer of fat over all muscles I have and those I have yet to meet LOL I hadn't considered that angle.

I liked STS Meso 1, but I think I'll take the leap to CLX. Good to know they are shorter; that would be helpful to me. Christine, interesting that DH prefers CLX to STS...

Allison, I'm glad I didn't offend you with the fat layer thingie. It's so hard sometimes when you write and not verbally talk. I have no idea if this is an issue for you...it is for me. But remember, I am a quarter percent fat!!!

Okay, I am one lucky gal.....I have never had chaffing. Maybe I'm not workout out hard enough? Maybe after my 1/2 marathon I will? Just hasn't happened.

Christine, that is awesome about your UPS dude working to give you such great service. My UPS dude is my fb friend & we've chatted once (when he accidently delivered someone elses package to my house). He normally rings the doorbell and runs. He comes daily sometimes. I am an amazon addict....and since we live in middle of nowhere I often just internet stuff (even food). I saw that STD comment...it was hilarious....I knew what you meant. That's hard typing long messages on cellphones. I abbreviate EVERYTHING. ....and let's not forget my superbowels. LOL We love you & your typing, girl!

Alright, have to nurse Maggie before I leave for work. Later!

Lordy women!!! I don't check in one day and Im waayyyyyyy behind! Little Missy didnt nap yesterday so we went shopping and I did some cooking etc.
50 min of intervals on tm this morning. K had another good night 830-5 and its after 7 now. I love working out early!

Hi Ladies,
I'm hoping I can join your little group. I have posted here a couple of times while preggo and have emailed Melanie in the past, too.

Here's some background info on me. On Monday 4/12 (my 37th b-day), I delivered two beauiful baby girls @ 32 wks gestation. Abigail Joan weighs 3 lbs 14 oz and Olivia Marie weighs 3 lbs 2 oz. Both are healthy and doing well. I ended up having contractions on 4/7, so I went to the hospital and they gave me a shot to stop the contractions. they sent me home on modified bed rest for a couple of days. the next night I started contracting again, when back to the hospital on 4/8 and was admitted for the remainder of my pregnancy. I was also 3 cm dialated.

They put me on magnesium sulfate (sp) to stop the contractions. They also gave me steriods for the girls lungs. The magnesium was awful...it's basically a muscle relaxer. It made me really loopy, anxious and just plain awful feeling. My goal was to keep the babies cooking as long has possible. However, I have a heart shaped uterus, so there's not a lot of room in there for the babies to grow. On 4/12, my contractions lasted all day and got worse. I ended up dialating more, so my dr decided it was time for the girls to come out.

Also, I forgot to mention, I hadn't slept at all since 4/7, because I was having contractions at night and just couldn't get comfortable. Lots of pressure, swelling in my labia (sp), feet and legs. Plus, Olivia liked punching me in my ribs, making it terribly uncomfortable.

I really wish I could have kept the girls inside longer, but my body just couldn't take it anymore. i did my best and that's all you can ask. I get to go home tomorrow, but my girls will be in NICU for at least 4 wks. It's going to be wierd going home without them.

ANyway, I look forward to getting to know all of you wonderful ladies!

Judy

Christine-ok I gotta go check out Cede in LIC. We don't wear shoes in our house either. I used to feel bad asking company to take their shoes off..but not anymore. Dh built us some shelves in the garage for our shoes..and we each have a piar of crocs right outside the back door! Your UPS man is great..how nice of him to help you out so much.

Susan- Wow! Your house is gorgeous! I would buy it in a heartbeat! Manny is a cute nickname; we have so many for James the poor child is probably confused.

Christine- I LMAO everytime I read STD! I love trying to figure out your typing and what you are trying to say. It's like a mystery everytime! :p That is so cool about your UPS guy. We know ours a little bit but don't use them alot. DH knows him from being an officer and seeing him around. Looking forward to trying one of the Max Insanitys this weekend. Had two big beers last night at the game so I feel like a fat slob today. :( I was just thinking of buying some cute undies too. That's great that grandparents are coming in May. Jimmy still deserves his special time.

Melanie- Is someone going to take pictures of you at your race? I'm sending all my running vibes your way! The pic of the girls in the stroller is awesome! Will never forget the superbowels! That is a classic now!

Allison- Yes, that is the same little girl. We are all so happy for the family! Hmm...wonder how Shaun T would use my success story. ;) Thanks for the tips on some baby stuff. No older kids, just the twins on the way. I am also a little freaked out by Sunshine and Oneal's weird relationship. I just said that to a co worker today who agrees and then ready your post. Doo-doo-doo....weird. Didn't know that about the carseats. Will have to check ours because one is a handme down. What are you saying your arms look bigger from? (Besides Drew) I am looking to put on size so I am hoping STS meso 2 and 3 will help with that while Insanity will burn away my fat layer. Dh says mine look more cut and I see my deltoids now which I never had.

Speaking of Insanity and those who are going to try it, you sweat so much that you don't know if you peed yourself or if its sweat. Its all good....;)

Priscila- Hope you are feeling better so you can back into the groove!

Lisa- How is work and balancing workouts going? Have you gotten into a groove yet?

Welcome Judy! I am Jen, 30 years old, married for almost 4, with 5 month James. I work full time with abused children and their families. I'm a first time mommy so I ask a lot of questions. :D Congratulations on your twin girls! That is quite a story. I have a friend who just had a singleton at 25 weeks and is in NICU. Your story sounds similar to hers. Glad the girls are doing well! We are a rowdy bunch so watch out and enter at your own risk! :p

Susan, I love your house too! I hope we live in a house with big rooms one day. I'm sure you'll sell it in a heartbeat. And I have total kitchen envy :)

Jen, I thought of a couple other things for your friend. All Free & Clear laundry detergent, much cheaper than Dreft and she can wash the whole family's clothes in it. The mesh bags for washing lingerie are great for those little baby socks, too :) The only 2 new things I'm doing to my arms are lugging around Drew and STS Meso 1. Personally, I thought he was an ass to make a comment at all, because now I'm all worried about it.

Melanie, Superbowels. ROFLMAO!! That was hysterical! Nope, you didn't offend me at all :) I appreciated your thoughts; like I said, that hadn't occured to me at all.

Susan, I just looked through my baby food books on Tuesday night, so I can start making some combo foods for Drew :) I have to go buy leeks and a few other things. I introduced some jarred combo foods first, to see how he liked them before I started making anything. Success!

Judy, congratulations on the births of your girls. Glad to hear they are doing so well. I'm Allison, just turned 37, and live in Philadelphia. My DD is 4, and my son is 7 months. I'm a SAHM, volunteer with a nonprofit, love to cook. I'm also a stepmom to 3 teenagers.

So, because of you all, I nearly killed myself today doing Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit. Whew! I got through all of it, but modified the last section (with the In-and-Outs, Ski Abs, etc). I did them, but much slower than Shaun and crew. Followed it up with Extreme Abs. Felt great when it was all done!!

Thanks Jen and Allison. We hate it here but we love our house. Im not the decorator at all as you notice the bare walls. I was sooooooo sick of all my pictures etc taht I just didnt put anything up. Im selling all my old stuff and getting new once out of school.

Allison-Im so glad Drew is a good eater. K is doing ok. She still doesnt seem interested much. She gets oatmeal in the AM and rice at dinner time. I plan on starting a veggie next week.

All this insanity talk..Im gonna have to do it! All these workouts...whats a girl to do???
Is RevAbs meant to be done solely or in combo with other workouts??

Judy-I am Susan, 43. Married for 17 years. We have 2 dd's. Haley, 10 and Kara 6mo. Im about to start dental hygiene school this fall. Looking forward to getting to know you.

THANK YOU CHRISTINE!!! My UPS guy wasn't cute but he was really nice!

Allison-High five for doing Insanity! That is the same one that I did first. I also modified those ski things. I feel so accomplished afterwards. The last time my DH made a comment that made him sound like an ass was 6 years ago and now I am a fitness freak. I remind him daily that I spend so much money on fitness equipment because of him. :p

Susan- I previewed one of the RevAbs and wondered the same thing. Not sure how I will incorporate it yet.

Hi ladies.

Welcome Judy....it'll be fun to have another twin mommy on board! Please feel free to PM anytime for any reason too. I love talking about life as a twin mommy!!! It is soooooo rewarding, I LOVE it! :D

Christine.....you are my absolute favorite person in the whole wide world right now! I Love you care package. What nice cases...a perfect touch to keep everything together. All the energy stuff looks cool too. I really like the GU gel...the other stuff I have never tried & I look forward to trying it after my race. What else can I say? You made my day. THANK YOU SO VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH! :D :D I would preview them on my drive to St Cloud...but I"m sure I would drive my family nuts. LOL

Waves to everyone else! Thanks for all the positive running vibes!

I have added rebabs every other day and can see obliques and even cut abs. The instructor is bland and the music is sort ofsoft porn but the results rock. I am a dork but I pull up my shirt to admire my abs finally, you know? It works. I do not have a fax but will pop. The rotation in the mail to each of you.
Jen- insanity creates results dh will love! Bi kegels mean puddles. To all the inasane lovers, I feel like a crazy strong motivated animal after ! I will say that I am wiped out the day after! Shaun t got me hot and a much more oetite "hallway"!!!!
Allison- you go girl. awesome!!!! Love your new pics on fb. I forgot, how is the step daughter seventeen year old thing? I know the arm thing. Lifting heavy took afew weeks to show definition. Try clx andsave sts for next rotation. It combines better with insanity amnd rev abs time wise...
Susan- I would livein your house in a heartbeat excpt for the whole arkasas kart. How do you keep your wood floorsso shiny? I ambeside myself trying to keep oursnice. If you do insanity.... Well may have dh making Mississippi trips extra. No need to kegel!
Mel- glad you liked it! The caffeine jelly beans and gu chomps are great. And those are my fav protein bars. Hope you like the extra DVDs.
Bbl John barfing

Whomever invented the dn iPod had midget fingers. Sorry as always for looking like I am an absolute moron.
So John has the flu. Boo, I need some sleep. I am trying motrin pm tonight.
Judy- I am 34( ancient when I read Jen is 30), have a four year old and four month old, both boys. We moved to the San Francisco area when I was 36 wkd preggo. Dh and I together 10 years. We dot not get busy as much as Susan and dh, but we all have goals. Susan has created an insanity type nookie goal. :). I am smart but suck at typing, and never check my spelling bc usually someone has found ne typing in a sark closet or I have been recently barged on. I am a sahm and occassionally recall my carefree days but love what I have. My baby has severe type a hemophilia. It sucks but he is my miracle and we try to make lemons into lemonade out of it. I have spent my share of time in nicu too. It made me sad when we took John home knowing the journey many others had ahead. I hope you thrive and your kids too.
