Road Trippers Thursday ... 22 days to go!!!

Good mornning.

Just getting us started. I have been up for a while studying ( it's now about 7:45 here). I'll tell you, this course has been no joke. I have to admit, becoming a PT is hard work. With all I already knew there's alot of stuff that they teach that is pretty intense. I can't believe I procrastinated for so long. It wasn't only procrastinating, really, it was also teaching 5/6 classes per week, having clients come to my house for PT ( about 6 people now informally) assistant teaching dance, taking dance classes, ( never mind my own workouts at home) running 3 very busy, involved boys, weekend band gigs for the boys, running my home.... etc., etc. On top of that, my Early Intervention agency closed in January, my DH retired and started a new job. Whew... I just needed to see all that in writing because yesterday I had a meltdown because I was so mad at myself for not really studing months ago for this. Oh well, I am starting to think there is a small chance I may pass... if not then I can just take it again and I will know what to expect.

I am getting ready to go teach cardio/sculpt in an hour, then teach again this evening. Those will be my workouts for the day. Yesterday, even though I was sore, I was due for an UB w/o so I did MM, UB premix. I also did 20 minutes on the elliptical, but my behind was just too darned' sore for anything else.

Well no workouts to report. I was busy packing last night and today I came into work early for a half day. We are flying out (to W. Palm Beach, Florida) this afternoon and I won't be back until late Monday night so you probably won't see me until Tuesday. Have a good one ladies!

Today I did PP upperbody (3x) and it wasn't as bad as I thought it wold be!:) Another day of teaching "summer fun" and I am tired.:p

Today is supposed to be 45 min of cardio, I think I might do the tredmill thing. It was so hot here yesterday, by the time I finished with DM I was drained:p <~me panting,lol!

Good morning to my fellow roadtrippers! Not too long before we all meet face to face:7 :7 :7 I post also on the Cheetah (runners) check in and have done so for a while. Anyway, last month I met up with two of these gals for a 5k race. It is so fun and a unique experience to meet up with people you've been communicating with on line!!! Soon, we'll all get to experience this :7 :7 :7 :7 I'm looking forward to meetin you all as much as the events of the RT itself!Today I'll finally go do some shopping for some decent workout wear so I don't embarrass myself!

Vicki- Holy cow girl! Cut yourself some slack there!!! I'm with Michelle in that I just can't imagine how you fit it all in. You probably already had much of the practical knowlege. I bet you'll do fine on your test.

Tess- Have a fantastic time in Florida!!!

Gin- PPX3 and it wasn't too bad? You must have some serious muscles there! Personally for me the upperbody work that get's me screaming is the BM2 double upper body.

Michelle- DM is my favorite circuit sweatfest!!! I'm impressed you can manage a run today! How long are you going on the TM?

Jacque- I'm leaving Philly for Phoenix on Aug 12- Sunday at 355pm.

Got to get the old bod moving now. For today it'll be BBCs Total body workout w/ cardio included, then shopping! Later today I'll get in a good workout on the elliptical.

Hey there. I've decided to join the RT check in for these last 3 weeks leading up to the RT itself!

This morning was Drill Max. I'm thinking about more cardio tonight, maybe pulling out an oldie step workout like Step Works or something. We'll see.

Hi everyone. I'm having another extremely busy week, so just wanted to pop in and say HI!

Off to fill out my Who's Who form now.

Just for fun - the only nickname I've ever had was "Roach Nose". :eek: I'm not putting that on the form, though. I finally got my Dad to quit calling me that over 10 years ago and I don't really want anyone else calling me that. Since this is a smaller group, I thought it would be safe to share. :) :)
 
I did Cardio Fusion this morning with some Powerstrike. I can hardly believe we are getting so close to the RT. Isn't is exciting to be able to look forward to a weekend with 105 women who love to exercise?

It will be totally awesome!

Cheryl, past trippers say there is no sound like the first time everyone steps up onto the step. I can't wait.

Hi everyone! 22 days...I can't believe it! It'll be here before we know it.

Randi, it's funny you should mention crying when you meet Cathe. My DH keeps telling me that I'm going to cry when I see her. I just might, too!

This whole thing is so overwhelming when I sit and think about it. Not only am I getting on a plane ALONE for the first time ever (I'm very excited about that actually) add to that being with 105 women that share the same "love of Cathe" as I do (which is pretty incredible in itself) then, on top of all that meeting Cathe in person ("yes", I keep telling my DD, "she is real and I will prove it to you when I get home".)...it's just too much! :)

I have no idea what I'm doing for my workout tonight. I'm in a major funk today and it better pass soon.;( It'll probably be cardio.
 
Robin-the 'breakee' and I have talked a few times over the last 3 weeks. And, actually, he's coming over Sunday night so we can chat some more. The ring will officially be given back to him, too :( There are still some things that need to be discussed. We've had some time apart and alone and I have some things to say to him still. I'm a bit afraid, but again, it's something that must be done. I'll keep you posted. (and thanks for asking, btw!)

Hi everyone,

I don't like posting so late but I figured it's better than not posting at all. I'm so tired right now. My DD (who's 2) decided to wake up at 5:30 this morning. Since I didn't go to bed until after midnight I got about 5 hours sleep. I know that's good for some people but I'm used to 8 or 9 hours. Anyway, enough whining:)

Today's workout was MM upper body premix and I added on abs. Yesterday was B&G Overall leg premix. Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to do Imax 2 on an 8" step. This one and Imax 3 are the only ones I do on a 6" step. I know I can never raise the step height on Imax 3 without killing myself but I think Imax 2 is doable. The only blast I may have trouble with is the straddle taps. I'll let you know how it goes.:)

Tomorrow my DD has an appt. with a speech therapist. I'm praying it goes well. She'll be 3 in Sept. but she's not talking much so I'm having her evaluated and can hopefully get her into Early Intervention if there's a problem.

Shelly- Looks like we may be on the same flight coming home.

Jacque...It is good to have another late night poster around here:)

I want to do personals, but I think it will have to wait until tomorow. I am extremely tired, and if I want to fit in a workout tomorrow, I have to get up early and get on the TM.

I am going for alterations for my wedding dress tomorrow, plus a dozen other errands dealing with invitations, party planning, etc.

Today was PUB and BC. Tonight I added a little cadio with SJP step, hi/lo, and abs. I am already feeling the DOMS from PUB earlier today. I guess that is what I get for not working my arms at all this week!!

I hope you all have a great day tomorrow. I will chack back in tomorrow (late, I am sure:) ).
