Questions for Lift, Move & Restore 2 Elevated - Questions??

It was still very vague for me. But glad it helped others.
While I appreciate the video, I see it as more promotional, rather than providing enough detail, for me. The use of 5-15# (maybe 20) vs 3-10# is a detail, but it sounds like it might still be easier than LITE/ICE due to the slow pacing in LMR, but it may be ok. The cardio intensity with "fusion" is still too vague for me - I don't like to break up my cardio with some odd-ball combination, (especially for a 30 min workout) if that's what a fusion turns out to be. And if it's a step down in intensity from Cardio Party, well that's too light for me as I have to use hand weights and impact to get my heart rate up, altho the choreography is fun. So, IDK. These 2 expressions keep coming to mind: "once bitten, twice shy" and "fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me." Dont get me wrong- it's great so many are enthused and this may be a perfect series for them, I'm not trying to dampen their enthusiasm.

So I may still wait for more details and just pay the higher price and/or just get a few individual dvds if I become more comfortable with the offering. Guess I'm still the "odd-ball, black sheep" not jumping on it, but I'm okay with that. There'll be more opportunities.

I'm on a budget, so I would rather wait until I get a little more information. Right now, I'm only interested in two of the dvds.

I thought Cathe showed she understood the disappointment I felt with LMR, which is encouraging. I’m not convinced that advanced exercisers who aren’t injured need to add functionality to their routines. “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.”
Mobility and flexibility being part of fonctionality, one heavy squat exerciser would benefit. Hip flexibility can in help squatting deep.

Well, I am keeping my order in, at this time, but as time goes and when they start filming, etc and more
pictures, info, clips are given, if I see they will not be for me, I will have absolutely no problem cancelling
my order for the full set and if that happens, I may then go ahead and get the individual ones I would be
interested in. I would hate to cancel the preorder, but with so little info at this point, I would feel justified
in doing so. It's a great presale price for sure, but if you would feel that it's something you probably
wouldn't get use from, especially not knowing at this point, that $80. would be alot just to set on the shelf,
especially in these days & times. I do like that she mentions that "modifications" would be shown/given.

We are considering this option. I've just never canceled before, but there's a first time for anything ...;)

ETA: I may be a bit uncomfortable canceling. However, Cathe/SNM is okay with it ... they've often said in the past if you're not happy with something in the presale process (i.e., delays) that you can cancel. Reminding myself about that makes me a bit more easy with it.

Nothing odd about it @Debinmi ! We're all unique in our preferences and comfort levels. Saying this as someone who used to never jump on pre-sales.

As far as functionality and mobility not being necessary unless you're injured... never thought of it that way. I guess it's up to everyone's preferred end goals. I'm of mind "use it or lose it".

Functional Training: Not Just for Athletes or Agers—It’s for YOU!

One fabulous fact about functional training is that it can be performed by anyone, from a fitness novice right through to an athlete. We’ve talked a lot lately about the importance of functional training as we age to support fall and injury prevention and muscle retention, but we haven’t necessarily focused on what functional training can do for those who are still in their fitness prime and aren’t quite at the point where they are looking ahead to the needs of their bodies as they age.
Functional training improves the way that the body moves by enhancing our efficiency, our power output, our coordination, our balance, and our overall fitness capacity. For athletes, all these elements add up to better performance, improved speed and power, the ability to change directions quickly as needed, and a great reduction in the chances that they will end up sidelined with an injury that knocks them off their game.
So, what does that mean for those of us who fall somewhere in between the level of athlete and active ager? It means that we can take advantage of all the performance enhancing benefits to make our workouts more effective while also setting ourselves up with the tools and elements that we will need as we move into future phases of our fitness lifestyle.
My new Lift, Move & Restore 2: ELEVATED! series was created to do just this! The workouts and bonuses in this series will take the foundation that was laid by the original LMR series and will add an upgraded level of strength and intensity to help improve your athletic performance and challenge your body and mind. At the same time, we will still be working within the framework of functional training, guiding our bodies through movements that will foster the abilities that we need to keep sharp and independent as we age.
I have received some questions from individuals who were very happy and satisfied with the intensity level of the original series and are a bit worried about the “elevated” nature of LMR2. Rest assured that these workouts can also be modified down where necessary so that exercisers at a more intermediate level can still enjoy and reap the benefits of these functional training routines.
As always, we’re in this together, and I can’t wait to get started.

Nathalie - Thanks for reposting this from Cathe's FB today, since I'm not on FB. Interesting that the fans of LMR are voicing their concerns about the elevated nature, but after the video yesterday with Cathe saying there may be 20# dumbbells used for bigger muscles may have freaked them out - understandably if they found the 3-10#s enough of a challenge (I thought it was 3-12#). I guess everything is relative and you can't please everyone. The bolded portion of Cathe's post raised my eyebrows. So I'm still questioning to whom this elevated series is primarily targeted to? Cathe initially said "slightly elevated" - I'm confused even more!

There you go…that’s what I have been looking for….gonna trust Cathe on this….

Hee hee, who knows? If they are for actively aging adults, they should only be
so advanced IMO……as long as someone is showing modifications, I should be happy,
and as long as the cardio workouts are low impact….. I guess there, someone could be
modifying up, so to speak……as far as weights, I will use what I want to use, not giving
that a second thought….
