Questions for Lift, Move & Restore 2 Elevated - Questions??

Scorpion has grown on me. Used to not like it because it hurt my breasts, but I guess they've developed tolerance for it now as it doesn't bother me anymore. I love all the deep stretch, twist-yourself-into-a-pretzel moves. I feel proud of myself working through them, and overall, I enjoy anything that improves my mobility and flexibility.
I like the scorpion move
Anyone wondering, here's the clip.

A voluptuous chest can get in the way but we shall do our best around it

While I appreciate the video, I see it as more promotional, rather than providing enough detail, for me. The use of 5-15# (maybe 20) vs 3-10# is a detail, but it sounds like it might still be easier than LITE/ICE due to the slow pacing in LMR, but it may be ok. The cardio intensity with "fusion" is still too vague for me - I don't like to break up my cardio with some odd-ball combination, (especially for a 30 min workout) if that's what a fusion turns out to be. And if it's a step down in intensity from Cardio Party, well that's too light for me as I have to use hand weights and impact to get my heart rate up, altho the choreography is fun. So, IDK. These 2 expressions keep coming to mind: "once bitten, twice shy" and "fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me." Dont get me wrong- it's great so many are enthused and this may be a perfect series for them, I'm not trying to dampen their enthusiasm.

So I may still wait for more details and just pay the higher price and/or just get a few individual dvds if I become more comfortable with the offering. Guess I'm still the "odd-ball, black sheep" not jumping on it, but I'm okay with that. There'll be more opportunities.
I saw the video on facebook, but also felt it was still kind of vague. I don't think you're the odd ball. I have seen many people (& not just on this forum) wishing there was more detail before the presale ends. I personally love the LMR series but wouldn't use it as a stand-alone rotation unless coming out of illness or injury. Even though I have no reservations about preordering, I would like a little more info too.

Me too, especially if I'm over-warm. Even those slower caterpillar or inch-worm moves like in the STS2.0 Active Recovery.
I often have to modify burpee type moves or avoid them, depending on how I feel that day. My problem with them is low back issues. I can manage the caterpillar or inch worm moves since they're slower & not "explosive." I can do burpee type moves if I use a step to put my hands on. It's less intense & easier on my low back but still keeps my heart rate up enough. Scorpions are another one that are tough because of my shoulder replacement. I will still do them but will only go as far as my shoulder will allow on that particular side. I guess I've gotten really good at modifications when needed. Plus, some days are just not as good as others for me. That's when LMR & other recovery type days comes in to help me out.

IDK - she first said "slightly elevated" - now she says that intermediate level people could modify "down" - that sounds like it's targeted to advanced-intermediate to advanced. ??? Which is it - slightly - moderately - or considerably elevated?
OK, this IS all confusing. Here are my thoughts. The original LMR seems to be geared more towards beginner or people who are older & can't do her more advanced, or those coming out of illness or injury. There's definitely a place for that & I think it's great Cathe has made a series that targets those people since she has very few beginner workouts. But since they are lighter workouts, I just use them as active recovery or recovery. I love the variety in them for that purpose. And I absolutely LOVE the balance disc work. So, the vague descriptions for the Elevated series makes me think that it will be harder, but there will be room to modify up or down as needed. I've found I can make the original LMR a little tougher by increasing the weights, tubing, or bands, & adding some impact to the cardio. I will also put extra effort into paying close attention to my form while doing them since they are easier than Cathe's usual. I am assuming the Elevated series will be the same & there will be a lot of play room to modify up or down. So, in a nutshell, it seems to me that it will be more intermediate but can be modified up or down. I could be wrong, but that's what I'm thinking at this point.

We're thinking the same. I think LMR2 is more like what we thought LMR1 would be. So we're edging toward the preorder. We're going to review clips from CL today as Cathe's last few emails have said there are sneek peeks there.

I don't like Scorpion for the same reason. Glad I'm not the only one. :) I also can't do moves that involve going down and coming up fast, like Burpees. I get dizzy if I come up too fast. With walk out planks I have to modify and come to a crouch rather than stand up at the end.
I have little girls so scorpion doesn't bother me in that way! LOL! But my shoulder replacement limits how far I can go with that move on that particular side.

I used to have a lot of problems with getting dizzy like that. For me, it was an electrolyte imbalance. I don't have that problem anymore.

I think yours is the best guess given the vague marketing so far.
Unfortunately, I think it must be too early in the series planning process for people to rely on that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yep, totally agree. We are all just making guesses. And it is all a bit vague. And I remember seeing a post where Cathe mentioned that things change during rehearsals. So there is that.

Oh, interesting. I did that STS2.0 Active Recovery after several hours in the hot sun planting our summer garden. I've not done it since, ever. It may have been I was dehydrated and my electrolytes may have been off. Hmmm, I'll try it again when I'm not hot and dehydrated. Thanks.:)

That is the saving grace as Cathe did say that things could change. I went back and reviewed the earliest promotions for LMR1. Cathe did say these "will not be easy by any means" and they were not geared toward the geriatric crowd like so many other senior workouts are - condescending and really easy. I took her at her word, & afterall, this was a Cathe series lol. Sadly, that turned out to not be the case for this series, IMO So, I'll consider that it changed as it evolved, as Cathe said it might. So hopefully this series will not be developed down too far, nor too far up so as to appeal to more levels.

Now, before I'm flamed by the Cathe-loyal-diehards: this is not a condemnation of Cathe, nor of LMR1. LMR1 has it's place in her offerings - but I don't need a second one if it's at the same intensity - no point in being redundant so soon after LMR1. This is just my opinion based on my experience and expectations. It obviously may not reflect your experience nor opinion. Its not a comparison between us.

Another point ... Cathe's details of her workouts are expected to change as it evolves... as to the specific exercises, the flow of them, the bonuses, etc. But as far as my recollection, never as far as the intensity level, until LMR1. That was the surprise and disappointment for me. And that was a big deal. If it had been at an intermediate level that would have been alright. I guess I did lose trust in her claims in her promotions, making this preorder more arduous for me. I wish it wasn't this way, but it is.
