New poll - what kind of workout are you....

What kind of workout are you looking forward to most of all?

If I recall correctly, in 2007, we did a boot camp, a toning and a step workout. (Am I remembering right, 2007ers?) I loved them all, but far and away my favorite was Stepping with Cathe in front of the room and 105 feet landing on the top of the step at the same time. I know I cried a bit.

I'm looking forward to the stretch/yoga, but still have to say Step is my all time fave.

I'm with you, Robin. Definetly STEP!!!

It's just so much fun. And I also love the sound the 105 of us make all stepping at the same time. The energy is AMAZING!!!

Oh geez! I... I wonder if Cathe would mind moving an elliptical in there for me. LOL!!!

Of the choices you listed, I would most look forward to "toning". :p :D

But seriously, I've always preferred weights to cardio. ;)

Step, no contest!!:D:D

I think that 2007's workouts were Kickbox, Toning, Step, and then Sun. morning was more kickbox, wasn't it?

2008's were Step, Boot Camp, Lower Body Blast, and kickbox? Now I've got myself confused.

I'd be happy if we did step, more step, and still more step. But I know Michele would NOT be a happy camper!;)

I promise not to complain, and I'll confine myself to a corner in the back where I can't hurt anybody. ROTFLOL!!!

And you guys better not make fun of me when I'm stumbling and fumbling around! :p :D

I would be happy doing ANY workout with Cathe but if I had a choose it would be Step!!! Then Kick Boxing and Weights.

I would love some step, kickboxing for sure, and some lower body work...I also really loved bootcamp last year but it kicked the crap out of me...kinda scared but in a good way ;-) bring it!!

I always work out alone so I am excited just to be in your company. Doesn't matter to me what we are doing I'm up for the challenge and will be laughing at myself along the way.:D
I just finished STS Meso 1 and am on my rest week so when I finish my plan is to start again right away and that weekend would end up being my rest/recovery week, Ha ha! Sounds more like a "work, work" week to me.

I am with the steppers! I LOVED step in '07 with Cathe! Unbelievable. It brought chills when everyone started the class. Probably also because it was my First LIVE step class ever! Fortunately, all the stepping at home with Cathe prepared me! I only ended up on the wrong side of the step once facing the class and just laughed about it! Also, Cathe is such a great instructor, always keeping an eye around the room to see how everyone is doing, also slowing it down when needed. She wasn't as fast paced as she is in the videos, thank goodness. I forgot who had the remote! No rewind!

My other thing that I LOVED is when we got to request moves from Cathe during the workout! I think people really enjoyed that too!

STEP!

The one thing I miss about not working out at a gym is that energy in a step class and the noise! After people posted their videos of last year's RT step class that was the first thing I noticed was how loud it all was and was green with envy at how much fun it must have been.

I do remember reading that because the class is so crowded it's sometimes hard to move around and you can't always hear Cathe. I hope at least the latter part can be remedied somehow with some audio enhancements.

Have to agree with the "feeling" that the 105 of us stepping in tandem had, it was really inspiring and totally set the tone for the weekend! I bet that's what we'll kick off with on Friday night, wouldn't you think?? We'll all be sweaty for the rest of the night, but who cares, we're at the Road Trip, we're supposed to sweat!!

I also hope we do some lower body work, love me some firewalkers and plie squat lifts!

The kickboxing ones were my faves from '07. I also liked the weight one a lot!

The step was actually my least favorite but ONLY because I had a really hard time getting the moves down. I was far away from Cathe and couldn't see what she was doing, plus we were learning choreo from the 4DS workouts and those were hard for me to pick up even when I got the dvd and could rewind Cathe! (I'm not exactly quick to pick up new choreo.)

I know what you all mean about the noise from the steps--that was very cool. I can still remember it the sound it all made.

Last year my favorite class was actually the Boot Camp. Something about that class just had a really high fun factor for me. I never step at home (very little room and my knees do not like it), but I love stepping at the RT too. So I'm hoping we have both of those classes.

I have to admit, the first thought that ran through my mind after reading about the Friday night class was "my hair is going to look AWFUL for the rest of the night."

But it will be worth it and I'm sure I won't be the only one!!:p

Joan, I think the step choreography in 2007 was more complicated than in 2008. I also had some trouble with the new 4DS stuff. The step last year was SOOOO much fun!
