LMR Elevated 2

Glad folks were able to chime in and help clarify the purpose of those bonus workouts for you.

I agree - do what motivates you and modify when needed. You don't HAVE to try to match Cathe's weights. That's not a goal for everyone.

I was one of the people who wanted the heavier weight work, but that's because I enjoy challenging myself in that way, and getting close to Cathe's weight selections is a fun achievement for me to aim for. My body also responds more positively to heavy strength training than to predominantly cardio, circuit, or endurance-based workouts.

I'm happy to hear there's going to be a rotation in the User's Guide for this series that includes the bonus workouts, as I'd love to see how she'd thread them all together.

As others have said, all activity is important and beneficial as we age. We all just find the combo that works best for us. For some of us that may mean way more HiiT cardio and less strength training. Others may favor mobility and balance over cardio and strength. I just think so long as we don't completely neglect any of those for months on end, we're doing good.

Cathe uses max 25 lbs in the inwaiting bonus workouts which is less than 12 kg in metric measures. If you really want to lift heavy, follow the IRON series of the brutal Irish Caroline Girvan on youtube:
she lifts up to 40 kg, more than 88 lbs, and recommends us doing that! But it is actually a very good series to train how to lift, slowley and in good form!

As Cathe always says, it is your workout. The choice of the program, the trainer and goal are all yours.
You can go as heavy as your desire require to:D:D:D, with the trainer you prefer.;):D

I believe meso 3 STS 1.0 cater for those who want TO lift super heavy.
There is an option between plyo and squat rack for legs.
I did both in the past. Many cathletes did too.

There are also gyms!
