Good afternoon,

I am just getting around to post my workouts. I did JM BR Phase 3 workout 9 today + walking. Maybe I do a little LB pilates later.

Good job, everyone.

I had a doctor appointment this morning so all I did was Kelly Coffey Amped up workout 2, 29 minutes, 180 calories. It took much longer than I had anticipated. By the time I got home I was just not feeling like doing a leg workout. I may get some household tasks done.

Belinda, nice work. I think I will probably pull out my Jill Mil

Doreen, I like how you have been using the muscle meltdowns from Ice to get more out of the Hammer and Chisel workouts .

This morning I did Ice Chiseled lower body with about 2/3 of the blizzard blast before I ran out of time. This one I'm still trying to hone in on the right weights to use. And I love the blizzard blast on this one so I'm bummed i didn't have time to finish.

I burned all the blizzard blasts onto one dvd so I'm going to give that a shot one of these days.... like a X10 redone.

Hi girls,

Today I did JM BR D10 + a 10 mile walk.

Update on Brawler :( We decided to stop Brawlers lazer/ water therapy. The last 2 weeks, the therapist had to help in in the water. He couldn't walk on his own :( We contacted his surgeon in Baltimore, he confirmed it's not doing him any good at this point since Brawler can't walk on his own:) The therapy stressed Brawler out from the beginning, he really never liked it:( The water therapy was suppose to help him strengthen this muscles. It's useless, if he can't walk on his own. He doesn't feel it. It's been very sad watching him the last few weeks. Brawler surgeon wants me to still take him for shorter walks (he can't go for longer than 10 min) a few times a day plus do his stretches. He also wants me to get the dog wheel chair but not use it unless he can't walk anymore. He also wants to see him in 3 month if he doesn't get any worst than it is. Brawler is still happy and has some life left :) He will let me know when it's time :( Until then, I will do anything to make him comfy. The veterinary we take Brawler for his therapy, he saw another doc for this condition. The therapist, doc and his surgeon all agree not to continue with the water/laser therapy. His muscles are dying :( They all told us what to expect next :(

Diane Sue - I will pull the others out soon. Maybe we can do them together. Hope your doctor appointment went well and you get the result soon.

Doreen - good job on your workout.

Good night, ladies.

Today I did Body Max 2, warm up, combo 1, power circuits, and abs, 59 minutes, 431 calories. I then did the Body Blast Series Super Sets, Lower body blast remix, 34 minutes, 171 calories. Total time 93 minutes, calories burned 602. I went to my daughters today and had lunch with her and the little ones before I ran errands this afternoon.

Belinda, I am so sorry about Brawler. It is so hard watching our pets when they are declining. I am sorry the therapy was not working for him. I need to look over my Jillian and Bob workouts and see what I think I can do without hurting the shoulder. It will still be a few weeks I think before I am able to do them. I am getting sort of tired of doing cardio and legs all of the time.

Doreen, I have thought that it would be nice to do all of the Blizzard Blasts at once. I have done a whole workout with the Blizzard blast and added another blizzard blast on as a bonus.

Good morning,

Workout for today is done. I did JM BR Phase 3 D11. I have to say, that one was tough :) DH and I also walked a few miles with Jessica Smith.

DH wants to do another round of 21 Day Fix. We will start Monday, the workouts are short and sweet. I also will add walks to my mix. The flooring for my gym basement is coming this Friday. We already ripped out the carpet 2 weeks ago.

Diane Sue - it's very hard watching Brawler declining :( Heartbreaking! I am so sorry you have so much problems with your shoulder :( I hear you on getting tired with doing weights and cardio only. Hang in there!

That is it for me today. Have a great day and workout.

Today I did Ice Bootcamp Circuit Basic Mix, w/u, main, blizzard blast, muscle meltdown biceps, core 1 and stretch. 500 calories, 83 minutes. Funny Cathe's workout manager says 723 and map my fitness says 720. Then I get Fit Bit at 323. I used the calories burned calculator net of 500. This is Wednesday family dinner night. I am making the chicken tortilla soup from the Fixate cookbook I thought that would be good since it is so cold here right now. They got a little snow in the north part of the state.

Belinda, I am sure eventually it will get better. I do have some better days than others. It is just finding what works for now till the nerves and stuff mend.
Here is a list of my Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper workouts
Jillian, 6 week six pack; Ripped in 30; Shred it with weights; Yoga Inferno; Yoga Meltdown
Bob Harper, Inside out method pure burn; Bob's workout (I did this more than most); Yoga for the Warrior; Body Rev cardio conditioning; Kettlebell Cardio Shred; Kettlebell sculpted body: and Totally Ripped to the Core which I think is not from the Inside Out set.

Diane Sue - I hope it will get better soon. I know it's frustrating dealing with injuries and finding what works. I have all the JM and Bob you mention :) Good job on your workout today.

Belinda- So sorry to hear about Brawler. The therapy had sounded so promising!

Diane Sue- hang in there with the limited workout options. Your options have looked good so far!

This morning I was supposed to do Hammer Power. But I had just done it last weekend - I'm not sure why it came up on the schedule so soon again. So last night I changed my mind and decided to do Metabolic Total Body. But this morning my knees felt achy and I didn't want to squat so I decided to try To The Mat from ICE. I did 30 minutes (through the ball and loop/band work) and then switched to ICE Chiseled Upper Body and did 30 minutes of that. I think I've just been squatting and lunging a lot lately thus the achy knees. I'm really not all that fond of floor/mat work for the legs but I did like the hip thrust sequence in TTM this morning.

Ha.. me posting twice in a row!

It's 5 degrees here and the school is on 2 hour delay... ??? I don't get it but hey I guess parents complain. I used to go running in weather like this. So happy I don't have to anymore. [emoji16]
I did rockem sockem this morning with my 1 lb gloves. I really like this one. I did the blizzard blast following the warm up. I liked that sequence. I did notice the disc I burned has the words off from the video. I'll have to check the mp4 and see if the problem was with the file our with my dvd burner.

Today I did Ice Rock'm Sock'm mix with the Blizzard Blast, 62 minutes 480 calories. I then did Muscle Meltdown triceps, 15 minutes, 70 calories. Total time 77 minutes, 550 calories.
I went back and did Suzanne Bowen Barre amped Strength and Stretch Upper body stretch and relaxation stretch. I also did Yoga Tune Up Neck for more stretching and massage with the therapy balls.

Doreen, I did the same workout today :) I used some 1# hand weights instead of gloves so I could put them down if I felt it in my neck and shoulders to much. I remember the schedule form Hammer and Chisel seeming odd with some workouts being close together. I was glad I only had to do the plyometric one a couple of times. I saw the Hammer only premix had it every week. Some of it wasn't bad. I don't like jump push ups or whatever you call them and the pull up off and on to burpees was uncomfortable. I tried subbing tubing but they were halfway done by the time I got hold of the handles. That is just my thoughts on that one. Otherwise I like the rest of it.
Our schools here started closing more often during snow and ice weather. There were just too many accidents and I think it got where parents would just call and keep their children at home. Being out in it is not so bad if you bundle up.

Good afternoon,

Sorry for not checking in yesterday, had a doc appointment. Came home later. Besides walking over 10 miles, didn't get anything else done.

Today I did JMBR Phase3 D12, lots of jumping in that one. I had to take the intensity down. I also walked today plus did abs.

Doreen - thanks about Brawler. It sure did :(Good job, girl.

Diane Sue - good job yesterday. I agree about schools closing.

Great job everyone. Keep up the good work.

Today I did Urban Rebounding Extreme Patrick Goudeau Core Metabolic Cardio 53 minutes, 409 calories. I did not do the push up segments. Instead I did either more jumping and mountain climbers off the side. I did the plank stuff though. I also did plank jacks instead of the jumping up and down off of the rebounder push ups. That is one of the moves I did when I injured my rotator cuff. I followed this with Cathe's Push Pull premix lower body 3 times. I forgot that the times were not correct on the premix times. It said 37 minutes for 2 sets and 39 minutes for 3 sets. It ended up being 59 minutes:oops: I kept wondering when it was going to be done. My legs are feeling it now. Total calories burned was 708.

Belinda, I would think that walking over 10 miles would be plenty. I am lucky if I get 5 miles in and that is with my cardio workouts.

Diane Sue - while DH was at his doc appointment, I walked around the hospital :) I got ask twice, if I needed help :p Believe it or not, my husband gets almost the same step count as I am just walking. I workout (do cardio workouts) and he gets almost the same step count, lol. Be careful with your shoulder, girl :)

Good morning,

My workout for today was: JM BR Phase 3 Cardio 3 + walking. We picked up the flooring for the basement today, that was a workout too. Getting all the boxes in the basement. We will start putting the flooring in next week (the boxes need to stay in room temperature for at least 2 or 3 day's). I still have to pick out lighting for the basement. Thinking industrial look lightning? I have something in mind, but for some reason can't find it :(

That's it for me today. I am excited to do 21 DF on Monday :)

This morning I did 1.5 miles on the treadmill alternating between incline jogging and walking, one minute of each for 20 minutes. Then I did a 10 min AMRAP of 12 squat presses followed by 12 pushups. Then I attempted RWH plyo one... but I ended up pausing several times to catch my breath!

Belinda, I only have 21 day fix extreme. I would like do the whole rotation again sometime. These workouts seem to throw in more shoulder work than I can tolerate. Especially Dirty thirty which came with the extreme workouts. I end up mostly using lower, pilates, and yoga. I can see why you are looking forward to it. You are getting a mix of lots of instructors. No boredom that way. I bet you are really anxious to get the flooring in. I know I would be. What color did you get?

Doreen, nice workout today. Quick and very effective.

Diane Sue - I get bored just working out with one instructor :( I have to mix it up. Tomorrow are starting putting the flooring down. We filled in the holes yesterday. I guess, the carpets get nailed down here in the US :) In Germany we don't nailed carpet down, there is no need. The color for the flooring is a light gray. I will post pictures once I am done. I hear you on 21 DF shoulder being worked a lot. I go light on shoulders.

Doreen - nice on your walk/run workouts.

Belinda, I get well over 10000 steps when I have my younger grandchildren over. I also get lots of floors. Yesterday I 24 floors. The two year old particularly keeps me running :) I am sure when I used to do longer workouts and daycare that I got a lot of steps in every day.
I remember filling the holes after pulling carpet. Trying to make the concrete as even and smooth as possible. I think the worst thing we ever had to do was pull layers of tile and linoleum and smooth off the layers of glue. I can never figure why someone would want to keep stacking layer upon layer. We did that in an office where my husband worked once that had carpet over layers of flooring. It was not nice. I bet the grey will look nice. Funny, when you said industrial lighting I was thinking grey flooring :) That would be nice. How do they tack down carpet in Germany??

Diane Sue - we don't tack down carpet in Germany :) It stays in place. Here are pictures how we do it : https://www.obi.de/ratgeber/wohnen/waende-und-boeden/teppich-verlegen/ We really never used any tape either. There is something under the carpet that prevent's it from sliding. I hope this makes sense. The carpet stay's in place. Never heard of nailing it down :( When we pulled the carpet up in the basement, I was surprised. DH was filling the holes in the basement with concrete. That is great you getting so many steps in. I fitbit doesn't count stairs.
