Doreen, yes Rock'm Sock'm is a bit different format from the others. I do enjoy it a lot.

No workout today. Just family time and hitting some stores for household needs. Not Christmas. I avoided the Christmas crowd. That is why 3 stores. Walgreens for a flash drive, Walmart Market for baggies, hair care, and a couple of grocery items, then Sprouts for Watermelon and grapes along with grassfed ground beef. Maybe tomorrow I can get some house cleaning done.

Belinda, it sounds like you had a nice time . Nice work on Jillian Michaels workouts.
 
I did ICE bootcamp circuit this morning including the BB I upped weights on everything but I like the slower pace to have that option.

Today I did X Train cardio legs, 58 minutes, 349 calories. I the did X Train legs barre, ball and chair segments, 27 minutes, 70 calories. Total time was 85 minutes, calories burned 419. I used Cathe's weights today.

Doreen, I have used Ice Bootcamp quite a lot. I really like the Blizzard Blasts on those workouts. I generally go a bit heavier on most of them.

Belinda, yes, I had fun with the family. We played a game after brunch and then I headed out to the stores. You are really working through Jillian Michaels workouts. Right now I am just doing what I feel I can do since I am having so much problem with the neck and shoulders.

Today I did Pedal Power, 60 minutes, 439 calories, 13.77 miles, 14.2mph (I guess that is average? I have never paid attention to it) The spin bike had me at 504 calories, Map My FItness 521, workout manager over 600 and Fit Bit 306. I used the calorie calculator which was in between and I feel most accurate based on heart rate average and net calories. I then did Barre Amped Advanced Active stretch 28 minutes, 40 calories.

Belinda, he kind of found out. We are still working on it. I just had an mri and I am really unsure what is up with the neck, lat, and traps area. I think when they did the biopsy they hit a nerve right off trying to numb me. I almost flew off the table and I generally am good with pain and needles as long as it is not someone else getting it. Then I was supposed to be really still during what was a core biopsy and she hit something towards the side back of the neck and I jumped. They had to numb me again. I heard her asking her assistant if she had hit something and they were both looking at the ultrasound screen. I hope they did not damage something. I have a nodule on my thyroid that they found. Anyway, I did not feel very bad before all of this and now I have pain. Anyway, I am trying to be really careful of this area. This is the same side that I recently had injured the rotator cuff on.
 
Diane Sue - so sorry you had to go through this. I hope they find something out soon. I am glad you taking it easy and don't go all out with your workouts. I had my share on injuries :( Good job with your workouts today.

I been working all afternoon, hardly had any steps :( I only had like 3K around 4 pm. I also did Prevention Fight Cellulite Fast both fast blasting workouts. The first one was cardio, interval, the second part was lower body. Pretty good workouts. The cardio got my HR up.

So I woke up at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep this morning. Realized that I've actually bought a lot during this year of no buying! Oops. But I've also stopped myself from buying quite a lot too! Yeah.
So what are our plans for this thread beyond the next month? I know I'm going to continue my resolve to be more discriminating with my purchases and wouldn't mind keeping the thread going.

This morning I did max hammer strenght and then Ice MM back and 2 rounds of MM biceps.

Today I did To The Max warm up, step, and step tabata, 22 minutes, 197 calories. I then did Legs and Glutes from the body blast series. I used Cathe's weights except for ankle weights where I used 5# weights. I have not done this one in years. I can't believe I used to do the Extreme mix all of the time. This was 51 minutes and calories burned 270. Total time 73 minutes , 467 calories.

Doreen, nice way of getting a bit more strength work in with the Hammer Strength workout. I really hate when I wake up too early.

Belinda, nice work on Jillian Michaels again.

I like this thread. It has helped with a bit more self control. Most workouts this year have been from gift money so I don't feel too guilty there. I have managed to hold back more than I normally would so it is encouraging to keep it going. Also it has encouraged me to go back and do some older workouts that have been left sitting. I have also been using You Tube a bit more for some workouts which helps when I am feeling the need for something different. I got a free short Yoga Tune Up for the neck a couple of days ago. The nice thing is when I signed up they have emailed me some information on neck pain and you tube workout links:) I would like to have those therapy balls. When I bought Knee hab when I had the knee surgery I just purchased two small soft therapy balls for hands from Walmart and used them. I think that I gave one to my 2 year old grandson. They have encouraged him with his hand after some tendon surgery that he had to have. They had used braces and stuff that were special made for a long time and massaging his hand but it did not do everything they needed. So encouraging him to use his hand is what we all do. He has one of my 5# soft balls too because he would pick it up and it helped build some strength.

Congrats Belinda on 34 years!!

This morning I started ICE Chiseled Upper Body until my chromcast blinked out and then I switched to Hammer Build up which was also mostly upper body work. So I got a pretty complete upper body workout between the two videos.

I felt like my week was missing both cardio and legs and last night decided to do RWH legs. Then this morning changed my mind and did xtrain cardio leg blast...and it fit that bill nicely!

Today was STS disc 12 Muscle Endurance Legs. Weights were 15, 20, and 25#. blue firewalker band and I did the bonus stability ball work. 25's were used for the deadlifts and squats.56 minutes, 290 calories. I followed this with Barre Amped Stretch and Strength, Power Stretch, 24 minutes, 60 calories. Total time 80 minutes, 350 calories. I wasn't feeling cardio today. I have not had much sleep the last two nights.
I finally ordered the therapy balls for Yoga Tune Up. I should have done it a long time ago. I have been using Gerties rubber ball when she is not looking. If she sees me she is all over me and wanting to play. I used it this morning when doing some youtube Yoga Tune up short videos to help that pinching throbbing feeling in my shoulders and neck.

Belinda, Happy belated anniversary. My steps were not up there at all yesterday. I had lots of sitting riding in the car.

Doreen, I bet that was a pretty thorough upper body workout. Cardio legs always fits the bill for getting the cardio and the legs in all at once. Nice work.
 
Today was cardio and since I have been looking over the Body Blast series I pulled out Step Blast. Step blast was 56 minutes, 435 calories. I then did Step Jump and Punch all cardio skipping the warm up and added the abs, 28 minutes, 176 calories. Total time 84 minutes, 601 calories. Step Blast always seemed to get my heart rate up pretty well once I got going. I remember doubling the challenge at the end. Also the premixes that has cardio and the SJP weight work was really good. I have not done that in years. Cathe and crew look pretty lean in that series. I got y therapy balls this morning after I started but did not want to go out to the mailbox in the rain mid workout. I am going to go use them in a little while. Tomorrow upper Yoga Tune up will be here. Do they deliver mail on Sundays in other states? I will try it out tomorrow. I did use my foam roller this morning for a little bit before I started. I really did not expect to get it till Monday since it was later yesterday when I ordered.
 
This morning I did 15 minutes of intervals on the treadmill and then Hammer Power.

Then we went and got our Christmas tree...which entails tromping through the woods, up and down hills at 8400 ft elevation until you find something and then drag or carry it the mile + back to the car back up and down all the hills you went over getting there. I was wiped!

Good evening,

I am still here :) Yesterday went to the Metro Cooking DC with my husband and kids. We all took a Holiday cupcake decorating class:D I love to cook, not backing. It still was a lot of fun. After the event we went to a nice Italian restaurant in China town. I wanted ramen noodles, but DH is sick of eating ramen noodles. Have you ever had ramen noodles? I don't mean the stuff out of a package, lol. At first, when my kids told me about them...I was like I hate ramen noodles :( I tried the stuff you buy in the store. Gross!!! Every time I am in DC, I get ramen noodles. They are expensive, but so worth it :) We did a lot of walking at the Metro Cooking. Got home every late last night.

Today I walked over 10 miles. So far I have 23K, doing lots of walking today, lol.

Diane Sue - thank you :) I hear you on not getting all your steps when sitting in the car. I do get those too. Good job on your workouts.

Belinda, no, I have not had authentic ramen noodles. I hate those packaged ones. The oriental restaurant we frequent has homemade fried noodles and I love their sweet and sour soup. That sounds like a fun family outing.
 
This morning I did Chisel total body, 33 min then did ICE MM chest and two rounds of MM shoulders.
