Like/review/verify/don't buy check in for 2016- 2024

Today I did segments (some twice) from Greatest Hits. Again staying about 50/50 on the impact. I could not believe it, but I tripped over the step in the WARMUP. Argh. It was one of those moments that I'm sure was less than a second, but in my mind. it lasted a long time and I thought how to land. Did not hurt myself. I slept rotten last night. Did not have my full energy level this morning, and boy did it show by the time I got to the IMAX2 portion of the workout. Wiped me out.

On the homefront, hubby is down today as this would have been his brothers birthday. We are waiting to hear from the rehab center about the ortho appt. his mother had today. We are hoping for good news so we can move her back to the assisted living center. We had an offer on her house, we have now put in a counter offer and are waiting to hear back from that. I'm trying to get things set up so I can go over to my mom's on Wednesday.

Diane Sue, I hope you were able to sleep better last night. Have you heard anything else back from the doctors today?

Belinda, sounds like you had a fun and busy time with your basement. I'm jealous, my workout room in my basement is no frills, believe me.

This morning I did Max Hammer Strength. I really do like this one. A bodyweight exercise followed by a similar weighted exercise for 8 heavy reps). It's short so I chaptered backward and did the first 20 mintues a second time through.
 
Today I wanted to do some lower body work but not too heavy or high impact. I did Kelly 30 Minutes to Fitness Body Shop lower body premix, 20 minutes, 99 calories. I also did Ice Chiseled Lower Body premix with no jacks, 40 minutes, 229 calories. Workout was 60 minutes, 328 calories. I am scheduled for a lymph node biopsy on Thursday morning early. At least I don't have to not eat or have my coffee this time.

Belinda, we had to shop around for our tin ceiling tiles we put in the kitchen. The product in stores like Home Depot were plated tin. We wanted the real thing. It was costly and required a wait to get it but we are really pleased with it. It sometimes is worth getting the better quality stuff. Good job getting in all of that work and workouts.

Laura, I am glad that you did not hurt yourself again. Being tired seems to slow down the thought process or something. I hope things workout and they take your counter offer on the house. Good luck getting things together to go see your mother Wednesday. I hope things workout so you can get your husband's mother back into assisted living.

Doreen, I always wish that Beach Body would take the time to put premixes on their dvds. They do not put a lot of effort into their workouts other than packaging that is pretty cheap and advertising hype. It has always been something that annoys me. Nice idea to go back and do part of the workout over again.
 
Today I did ICE LI double cardio 2 plus blizzard blast. Still not sleeping well, probably just all the stress. Will sneak in some yoga later, really need to stretch out before traveling tomorrow.

Today's workout was Step Moves, 45 minutes 312 calorie. average heart rate was 144. That is all I am doing today. Maybe I will get the laundry and housework finished today.

Laura, some yoga probably is a good idea. Sorry about the lack of sleep. I wore my Fit Bit to bed last night and it gave me the most sleep I have seen on it at 5 hrs 8 minutes. I have had as low as 2 hrs 4o minutes. The average is a little over 3 hrs. I think I sleep more than it says. I was restless 18 times and awake once. I know I did a lot of clock watching but it must have been in one time frame or something.

Belinda, I always liked that premix when I did not want to do step.
 
Today's workout was Kelly Coffey Split Sessions Lower Body and bonus floor work, 45 minutes, 207 calories. It must e very long sice I have done this one because I really do not remember it. It as lots of work with the loop band as well as weights and hits he hamstrings and glutes pretty well. I then did Great Glutes disc, ball, and bonus chair with the stretch, 30 minutes, 120 calories. Total time75 minutes, 327 calories.

Belinda, nice mix of workout variety today. Music really does make the workout. I feel okay. I have mostly just been tired for some reason. Probably due to fighting whatever it is. I am babying the neck and shoulders for a bit So, I am mostly doing cardio and legs. Maybe by the end of the week or next week I will put some arms back in but go lighter. Hopefully by then I know the results of tomorrow's biopsy.
 
Hi girls,

Today's workouts : MMA: Boxing + 60 min Winsor pilates. Haven't done that one in a very long time, , for some reason it was a lot easier than I remembered. I am on a pilates kick lately :p can't get enough. It's also helping me with my back pain.

Debbie - glad to hear you feeling a little better. Good luck with your biopsy today. Good job on keeping up with your workouts too. Be careful, ok!

Good morning! I did Advanced step challenge 2 this am. Bummed that my disc froze at the section to do all the combos together.

In other news we had the insurance adjuster out to look at hail damage on the roof. We need a new one..and paint on a couple sides of the house.

No workout today. I am supposed to rest after that biopsy. It was really not a pleasant experience and took longer than expected. Numbed twice. My neck is swollen and I sure would like to not be coughing. They said do nothing today, not laundry lifting, shopping or anything. So, rest it is. I came home and took a nap after my blessed daughter took me and got me Starbucks and a sandwich before she bought me home. I almost passed out during the procedure and was so glad that she was with me. It will be 24-48 hours before I get the pathology report>

Belinda, I used to dislike pilates. I think mainly because it is so stationary and there is little calorie burn with it because the heart rate does not go up. I have kind of got over it though. I like P90X3 Pilates and I particularly like the 21 Day Fix Extreme Pilates (all but the stuff that hit the arms some and has the superman pulling the tubing stuff)

Doreen, we had one home that we had to have the roof replaced two times because of storms. That is not fun. But, you get a new roof. I guess that is a plus as long as insurance covers it all and deductible isn't through the roof. That is too bad that your disc froze in the combined section. Those are fun and help with remembering all of the moves. I often think they get easier when they flow.
 
Diane Sue - I am so sorry your biopsy didn't go so well (((HUGS))) That is so sweet of your DD :) Keeping my fingers crossed for a good report from the doc. Take some rest. I used to hate pilates, I always found the core strengthening was really tough. I didn't had the strength in my abs or legs to sit in a v position or do those one hundreds :) It's really helping to strengthen my back as well. Practice makes perfect, right :) You are right, no high cal burn/get your heart rate. Pilates works my abs like nothing. I am already seeing very nice definition in my abs. People swear by pilates:) I keep forgetting about the pilates you mention, need to pull them out. Feel better soon!
 
Today i did RWH LI 1&2 combined premix followed by the beginner fit tower DVD. I had to laugh that I cannot even do the beginner pull up modification. I can't even get off the floor. Oh well. I'm looking forward to the 3 that Cathe will be putting out in the spring. The 3 that came with the tower will make good finishers to workouts, like today.

Diane Sue, I'm sorry that was such a bad experience. I do know what is like and I'm very glad you had someone with you. Please do take it easy and recover. Keeping you in my prayers for good results.

Doreen, sorry to hear about the roof. Hope the insurance covers most of it.

Belinda, I tend to do more hybrids of Pilates, but you are right that it works the core so well. This has made me think about pulling out the yogalates workouts I have. Or they are something like that, hybrid yoga and Pilates.

Laura- I can't do pullup either. I have to use the bands. I was just thinking of the fit tower Cathe is planning in 2017. I'm guessing there will be loads of pullups.

Today was Supercuts extreme premix (which I made a little more extreme as the premix skips some exercises that I like so I went back and added them in). Really wish I could come up with a rotation, but I'm just winging it as I see what body part hurts that day. My ankle is still recovering and my knee has been acting up the last couple of nights. I'm okay during the day, but as soon as I try to go to sleep, it starts aching so bad I have to get up and put Ben Gay all over it and put my brace on. It might just be because the weather got so cold so fast.

Good news is that the we accepted the counter-offer on the house, and they want to close the first week of Dec. Yeah.
