Like/review/verify/don't buy check in for 2016- 2024

Today was Body Max 2. Needed something uplifting this morning. Was exhausted after yesterday and then when the Cubs won last night, the fireworks started and went for about an hour around midnight.

Today I did URX-MT Keli Roberts Poly Performance Metabolic Plyometric Circuits, 50 minutes, 327 calories. I always enjoy these Urban Rebounder workouts. I used mostly the 2# sand weights. I picked up the 3# for a couple of lower body focused segments. One of the 3# has lost a lot of sand. I think next time I want 3# I will just used dumbbells The dvd kept freezing. I took it out at 42 minutes and cleaned it. After that it kept freezing and finally stuck to where I could not move forward right at the last of the short ab segment. I went ahead and did some of it and some of the stretch then bounced to the total workout time. I guess I need to take it to the video store and see if they can polish out the scratches because it is not dirty. I followed this with Cathe's High Reps biceps, triceps, abs, and stretch, 22 minutes, 90 calories. I kept this pretty light today. The most I used was 15's for the hammer curls. Total time was 72 minutes and calories burned 417.

Laura, Body max 2 is a pretty good one :) They shoot off fireworks when they win? I am sure that made it hard to fall asleep.
 
Diane Sue, yes in Chicago people seem to think that you need to shoot off fireworks for an hour to celebrate. My husband warned me ahead of time to put in earplugs, but I fell asleep as I was checking my laptop. I was that tired. Had to take an extra sleeping pill when I woke up to get back to sleep.

I really like Keli. One of her step workouts was one of my favorites for years. They never put it on DVD, so I haven't done it in years.

Did my workout this morning, just getting around to post. Cleaned my house and went grocery shopping. This morning I did Lower Body Blast Workout DVD - Premixes: 5.Standing + Leg Conditiong Drills (No Cardio Burst) - 63.15 min + pilates + walk.

Oh its been a long week... I've been up at 3:30 or 4 am every morning because the autistic guy who we take care of has been in a bad spell and hasn't been sleeping. He was generally cooperative this morning and willing to hang out with me in the workout room so I did Max Hammer strength twice through. Then because Hip Hop Walk needs to go back to the library today I did that one too. Not so impressed and there were actually a couple moves I couldn't figure out. But I'm not very "dancy rythmeticly" inclined so I shouldn't be surprised.

Hoping we get another update on the Strong and Sweaty series today!

Good job everyone on your workouts this week. Diane Sue- hopefully they can fix the DVD. I have one that freezes up on me. I should check into getting it fixed too. Belinda- your list is getting much shorter in your signature line!! Laura- Hoping you could catch back up on sleep after the celebrations!
 
I just returned from Grandparents day at some of the children's school. It was so nice having the 16 year old there too. She was taking pictures for yearbook and came to her little brothers and hung out with me. I won't go back for hers this afternoon as she will be running around getting pictures. I am getting ready to go do High Reps Lower Body only mix in a bit.

Doreen, I did not love Hip Hop Walk but it was okay. When I did it recently I did fine on the choreography. I had a few struggles the first couple of times that I did it. It really did pack in a lot of steps on my Fit Bit though. I think that Family Video polishes the scratches out of dvds so I will check them out. I had an older Cathe one that did that once and I mailed it somewhere. It was like new when it came back. It was worth the 7.00 I spent. Particularly since it was one of the dvds that had three workouts on it and was a more costly workout to replace.

I finished High Reps Lower Body Premix, 36 minutes, 160 calories. I did not use a barbell on my shoulders for most of it though. I used dumbbells. That is all for today. I am tired and I have two of my younger grandchildren coming this evening.

Belinda, your list is really shrinking. You have put in a lot of workouts.
 
Today I did 4DS kickboxing followed by KPC. My sweat had sweat after this combo.

Doreen, got a good nights sleep in last night. Thank you. Try to do what you can for yourself. I know caregiving is very taxing on a person.

Never did Hip Hop walk, but I did the Hip Hop series by Shaun T. And all I can say is that I do not have the dance gene in me. Step I can do fine, but not that.

This morning I did Crossfire - just not the core and low impact tabatas. Which was fun. I've been following Jen Sinkler's recent posts on her new program about getting out of the sagittal plane of movement this week. (Not interested in buying it BTW) Was fun to see how much Cathe does movements in the other planes of movement.
 
Today I did my mix that I made of RWH upper body circuit. I had removed all of the high impact segments and put in all of RWH LI and both of the RWH Abs workouts mixed in. It was a goody. Plan on doing the companion RWH lower body that I made later this week.

Today I did Tracey Staehle's Steady State Step, 56 minutes, 411 calories. I then did Jessica Smith TV lower body barre blast, 15 minutes, 30 calories. I ended with Barre Amped Strength and Stretch ball stretch and relaxation stretch, 23 minutes. 50 calories. Workout was 94 minutes, 491 calories

Laura, that is funny about your sweat having sweat :) That is a nice way to use the Ripped With Hiit series. Do you put it together from downloads or do you just use each disc ?

Doreen, that is nice that you are able to figure out what workouts to do to follow along without purchasing the program I have done that with some workout programs. It is easy getting stuck in one pattern of workout choices.

Belinda, I do not think that I have ever done the compound premix. I think I have only done it as is or the splits.
 
Diane Sue - as always fantastic job on your workouts. I think that was my first time doing the compound premix too. I keep records of every workout I been doing/have done. The premixes are pretty good, IMO!
 
Diane Sue, I put that mix together from downloads. I could never get the Workout Blender (for downloads) to work, but I found out that I already had a video editor program on my pc that worked with the downloads. It allowed me to splice them up into segments and then reassemble them. I did that for both the RWH UB and LB circuits. I removed all of the high impact exercises and put in the RWH low impact disc in its place.

Today I needed to stay low impact so I pulled out 4DS LIS. Since it was short, I did it several times. I have to remember to pull out this one more often.

Rest day today. We had family brunch then my grandson came over to help with some things in the garage. We had a nice family visit and drew names for the grandchildren's Christmas gifts.

Laura, I should look for a program like that. I have stuff on my laptop that I have never used. I talked to someone on here that uses picture trail and pic grab to put together workouts from you tube and stuff. I like the 4 Day Split Lower Intensity step. I had not thought of doing it multiple times. I usually just do the double mix of both step workouts.
 
Today was Low Impact Circuit. Had a hard time getting motivated this morning, but it is now done.

Our water heater broke this weekend :( Had the plumber here this morning, we need a new water heater. It's always something. I put all my stuff from my basement/workout room in the room where the water heater is, had to take everything out again. Grrrrr....Hopefull we get the new heater this week. We are done in the basement, except the floors. Which we have to wait until the new water heater is in. I am not taking everything in and out of the room 50 times :)

Today I did Kelly Coffey Amped Up Cardio Live, 58 minutes, 388 calories. I followed this with Kelly's Home Gym Intervals Waistline 9 minutes, 41 calories. This was a nice compliment to some of drills in Amped Up Cardio. Total time 67 minutes, calories burned 429. I have to go out to the bank and a couple of stores. We need the rain but I do not like to go out in it. Our sun room has decided to leak under the flashing again. Last winter my son sealed it. cannot find anyone that wants to come ad fix a sun room. The installers do not want to do it. I have buckets catching the water around the sliding glass doors and the inner wall. It is annoying.

Belinda, it is always something with owning a house. We have to fix an outdoor faucet before it starts freezing outside. Then that sun room :( I am apprehensive about our hot water heater since it is on the floor in the coat closet downstairs. I have my Kirby vacuum and a few things in there. The inspector mentioned us doing something to it so if there was a blowout it would go outside. My husband has mentioned getting one of those other kinds of hot water heaters that just heat the water as it goes through it. I am not sure if they are that good or not. I think they are tank less hot water heaters.

Laura, I have had a lot of unmotivated mornings lately. I keep putting workouts in and then changing my mind on what I want to do. I am not ready for a rotation right now.
