Like/review/verify/don't buy check in for 2016- 2024

Good morning,

Today I did Cathe Timesaver #3 = 45 min + XTrain Low Impact Triceps & Biceps premix : Round 1-6 = 32 min + KCM Punch + Kick Mix = 22 min and Cathe Yoga Max Express premix #2 = 34 min. I am done for today, lol.

Diane Sue, I am happy I found a dress too. Hope you enjoyed your rest day yesterday. Have fun with Chiseled TB.

Cat girl - thank you...I also will check with my library .

I will be back tomorrow. Have a wonderful day and workout, everyone.

Today was Total Body Chisel. I liked this one a lot. Not much rest in it but at 35 minutes I felt I got a good workout in. Calories burned was 161. Also 10 minute Ab Chisel was on schedule, 12 minutes, 48 calories. I held a sand weight between my feet for some of the seated stuff. I felt better today so finished off with Ripped with Hiit Low Impact Hiit workout 2, 30 minutes, 198 calories. Total time was 77 minutes and calories burned 407. I am bummed because a piece chipped out of the center of my Ripped with Hiit Low Impact dvd. I hope it is not to get a replacement.

Total Body Chisel - all moves are 10 reps there are three groups of exercises each exercise in the group is done once then repeated two more times then there is a short break (Autumn uses 15's and 10's through the workout where she mentions her weight)
Squat 40# each hand, 40,'s 40's
bench press 20# each hand , 20's, 20's
reverse grip row 25# each hand, 25's, 25's
break
lunge right (reverse lunge) 25# each hand, 25's, 25's
lunge left 25's, 25's, 25's
incline fly 20# each hand, 20's, 20's
lat pullover 37.5, 37.5, 37.5# they use two dumbbells but I chose to use one heavy
break
step down cross back (I used my step with 5 risers each side) right 20# each hand, 15's, 15's (a bit hard holding them at shoulders and my knee)
step down cross back left 20# each hand, 20's, 20's
Incline curl 17.5# each hand, 17.5, 17.5 (I used the stability ball so I did't have to take time to pause and set the step back flat)
bench dips bodyweight 10 rep, 10reps, 10reps

dmerz, T25 1.0 sounds like a good add on. I am going to check the library after I get done going over some things online.

Belinda, nice work getting in those premixes :)

Today I did BM2 cardio blast. Have kept my hands splinted all weekend and they feel better. I will stay away from weights until I can see the doctor later this week.

Diane Sue, I am glad that you are feeling better. Total body chisel sounds like a keeper.

Belinda, glad you found a dress you like and I hope your knees are feeling better.

Dmerz, thanks I'll pull out T25 Alpha while I'm weightless.

Good day everyone.

Thank you, Cat girl! Glad your hand is feeling better too.

My husband wanted to go for a walk, but's it's freezing outside. My iPod wasn't charged, I had to use the disc instead. Had no idea they played in my dvd player? What that be considered cheating if I count it as a dvd?

I will be back tomorrow. Have a great day and workout, everyone.

Good morning,

Today I dd Cathe Timesaver #4 and Intensity Boot Camp Premixes: #2 Core only, #3 Kickbox only, #4 Upper body only, #5 Lower Body only. I also did Muscle Endurance premix : #2 Legg Press ( just the three leg press cycles)

I will be back for personals later. Need to shower.

This AM was a quick workout since I needed to get my son to school early. I did a Cathe Live - Power Step 40 min. 40 minutes was plenty for this morning since I felt like I had lead in my legs! I don't think the workout was really as hard as it felt this morning. I may have to try it again with more rest. Simple combos of power moves like power box, power 15s, over the box with some simple choreo putting them all together.

Today was Hammer Plyometrics, 26 minutes, 169 calories. I know I am working hard but I sure haven't got a good calorie burn out of this. I like it because it is not just jumping up and down. There is something like donkey kicks or butt kickers over the bench and that sort of thing. I am still not a fan of the jump push ups. I use the rebounder for some cushioning and do it off it and tap the edge of it. I am glad I only have to do it twice. My arthritis in my hands do not like this sort of thing. I added on Kelly Coffey's Strength and Stamina bonus step, 22 minutes, 192 calories, and Les Mills Pump Flow for some extra stretching since these workouts are very deficient on the stretching.
Ill check back later. I have to hit the store and post office.

Today was Cathe step greatest hits. Today my left hand is bothering me more than my right. Wearing my splints pretty much all day.

We are in the middle of an arctic freeze here. Just going to stay at home and lay low.

Quick check in : I also did Cathe Yoga Relax premix #2 :) I am so done for today :p

Cat girl - good job on your step workout today. Have you seen a doctor for your hand? Please, be careful. I hope you feel better soon.

Diane Sue - great job on Hammer Plyometrics. Sorry about your hand too. Don't they have a modifier in these workouts?

dmerz - wtg, on Cathe Live - Power Step 40 min this morning. I wouldn't be working so hard, I gonna be on the road for a few day's next week. Who knows when I get a workout in?

I will be back tomorrow. Have a wonderful day and workout, everyone.

Belinda, thank you. I have a physical with my primary on Thursday. Will talk to them about it to get a referral to the orthopedic doc (need for insurance). Actually have a list for the doc. My chronic insomnia is still a huge problem. Did the whole sleep study thing. No help. I'm thinking it might be due to menopause/peri menopause stuff. Going to ask about HRT. Don't really want it, but I'm already on one of the strongest sleeping pills and I'm lucky if I get 4 hrs. I have read on other threads on this forum that HRT helped others with insomnia. At least I'll ask. I have a very conservative doc.

Normally I love yoga, and love yoga relax in particular, but I've been staying away from it this week. I don't want to try and bend my wrists any.

Catgirl, I hope the doctor can help you. When I go with my list so I don't forget things it seems the doctor only finds one or two of my issues to focus on. I generally only hit the doctor for my physical once a year unless I feel I really need to go in there. Which rarely happens. I am past due for the physical this year. I went a few months ago addressing the cough, no sleep, achiness, chronic fatigue etc.. Bloodwork and everything and no help. So, I am not anxious to go back in. I have contemplated going through the process of changing doctors but I have been going there for years. My daughters and daughter in law have all worked there at some point. The main doctor who owns the office has been at my grandchildren's birthday parties and family baby showers. Anyway, I am on the fence on it. I remember that with Peri menopause. I am past that now. I took Black Cohosh which had to be kept up with or I had to wait again for it to work. I tried melatonin. Gave me horrible nightmares. For awhile the doc had me on Evista. I hate that it takes forever to get through the system to get help. We lived 2 hrs from my doctor for a couple of years and I did not change. I came to the city and the insurance made the doctor schedule an x ray, so they had to arrange that, then they had to work to set up an MRI in the town I was in. That took a couple of months and then it was two more months before the insurance authorized the surgery. I got to the hospital to check in and was shocked when I had to pay a bunch of money up front. 7 months post surgery they sent the money back to me . It was nuts.
BTW I believe Sarah Beth Yoga on youtube has some hands free yoga to protect the wrists :)

Belinda, nice job getting a total body workout with all of those premixes. Hammer and Chisel have someone doing moves without the bench or equipment other than weights but no really a complete modifier. They give the option to do the fee bonus Masters cardio instead of the Plyometric workout. I just try to find some way to not make it tough on the wrists. On the things like the step up cross back they have someone doing it on the floor so I guess that is sort of a modifier without the step.

dmerz, good job getting a workout in when you had to go out. Why is it sometimes a workout that would normally seem easier becomes so difficult at times. I have had that happen a lot since I had that virus. It is kind of settling back to normal again.

Good morning,

I did today : ICE Rock'm Sock'm Kickbox -BLIZZARD BLAST : 14 min and X Train All Out Low Impact HiiT - Bonus Workouts:
Bonus Core # = 10:26
Bonus Burn Set Chest=14:10
Bonus Burn Set Shoulder =14:19
100 Rep Challenge Scarecrows =5:47

Shoulders feel like noodles :)

I will be back for personals. Gotta run. Sorry!

Today I worked deadlifts, then a clean/front squat combo series and then a burpee/box jump/burpee box jump combo from a paper program. I'm finding I like these days when I set my own pace through the workout and listen to my own music. I think a video makes me work faster which is great for cardio but working on really heavy lifts I like being able to stop a set and add/subtract weight without needing to pause a video or chapter backwards. Its a new idea for my workouts I'm liking for lifting.

On a bummer note I got an email that my inter-library request for Jillian's Body Shred was denied. I guess only two libraries on the system have it and neither were willing to lend it out. Oh well. Maybe I'll try again in a few months.

Today I started with P90X3 Cold Start 12 minutes for a bit more of a warm up, then Iso Strength Chisel with 15 minute glute chisel from the deluxe set, 17 minutes, finishing with Les Mills Combat stretch and strength, 18 minutes. Total time was 86 minutes and I burned 430 calories. I won't post glute chisel again. I just couldn't find where I had written down the moves and was not sure if I posted the format.
Iso Strength Chisel
10 reps 1c hold 3 times no rest each move
Sumo Squat 25 each hand
push up body weight
Bulgarian split squat left 1 dumbbell 20#
repeat right20#

step up side hold right one dumbbell 15#
repeat left 15 #
1 arm row right 20#
left 20#
sit up C curve 15#
lateral raise 8# each hand

15 minute glute chisel deluxe workout all moves 25 reps with 8# med ball or dumb
sumo jumping jacks
Bulgarian split squat with 1 foot on the medicine ball
right then repeat 25 reps on the left
jumping curtsy lunge
warrior 3 holding med ball right

Diane Sue, those premixes work you really good. I hear you on your wrist....and you use your wrists a lot in workouts. I am glad you able to modify. I think it's easier to modify for bad knees....than it is for wrists :( LOL, I am a chicken when it comes to jumping over a step:p I always do it without the step. Good job with your workouts.

Cat girl, good luck tomorrow. Hope they can help you. You don't seem to catch a break, hah? So sorry about the insomnia. That's not a lot of sleep, poor girl :( Why do we have to go through menopause? I am surprised you didn't talk to your doc about HRT? I agree, about staying away from Yoga Relax. A lot of stress on the wrists :( Feel better soon.

That is a bummer :( Wonder why they denied it? I hope they are willing to lend it out soon.
