Hallo ladies,

Did my workouts very early this morning. DH wants to workout before he goes to work. Just getting around to post. Every Thursday is a rest day scheduled for H&G. I don't like working out on Sunday's besides stretching or walk.

Today's workouts: Hammer Power. Very good workout! Even DH liked it. I also did Chris Freytag Ultimate Walking workout.

Doreen - I like them too. I will add the later on, this way I get them in at least once.

Diane Sue - I'll bet your are happy your remodeling is getting closer to completion. Than you can relax and enjoy it all. Les Mill Pump is another one I haven't open yet :( That one is next, lol. I been working on a folder, where I record every workout I do and I own. I have way to many to count :( I just got rid off a lot of dvd's that I knew I will never do/or can. I still have a ton.

Good job, everyone. Keep up the good work.

Doreen, I like Cardio Core Circuit, I think most of the time I do the timesaver mix where everything is not done twice.

Belinda, I believe it is Hammer Power that did my rotator cuff in. Or is that that plyo one? It was the one with fast pull ups and jump push ups. I missed the last two days of the rotation but did almost all o it. Those 4 extra workouts are some of my favorites of the set. Seriously I think it was a combination of things that caused the rotator cuff pull and that Hammer workout just was the last of it before I ended up going to see a doctor. Fortunately I did not tear it.

Belinda, that was the next one up to do. It is more like Olympic style lifting with lots of squat clean press moves that build up. I remember now. The one that I was talking about is the Hammer Plyo one. Too fast for pull ups to jumps etc.. Then then I did the plyo push ups putting my hands on the rebounder. It did not soften it much and was still uncomfortable. I think they only do it twice in the rotation. I love the Les Mills Pump workouts. They are fun and time goes by fast for me.

Diane Sue - I did Hammer Plyo in day 2. I use the bands for pull ups. I workout in my living room, instead of my basement. I need to keep an eye on Brawler :) I modify a lot of the moves, my knees can't handle all that jumping. I am still getting a great workout in. Les Mills Pump is next :)

Today I did STS Total Body , 66 minutes, 291 calories. I then did the Fit Tower DVD long and lean that came with the Fit Tower, 34 minutes, 88 calories. Total calories 379, 1 hour 40 minutes. Not a great burn for such a long workout. Oddly my average heart rate for STS was 99 and for the Fit tower workout that was not intense at all 92. It makes no sense to me.
Weights tri sets
squats 30's x 16 reps; 30's xsquats narrow stance 25's 12
one leg elevated lunge 20's x 16 reps; 20's x 12 reps

Belinda, fortunately the plyo workout is not done too many times. I did try the bands and it seemed hard to get hold of them fast enough. It was easier to go from the bar to the next move. I often have the rebounder handy for some jumps when I am worried about the knees.

I thought th e H&C plyo odd too. I also only have bands instead of a pullup bar and it was hard to get the handles and get into position quick enough.

STS total body looks good. It one I don't have but might need to look at getting.

This morning I did Ript90 death by thruster and the did two combos of Amy Bento stepletic.

Death by thruster is deceptively hard. They go at a very slow measured pace but boy was I breathing hard. I used 8s and 10s but I think I should try it again with 10s and 12s.

I was off again today because my kids are out of school. Feels good for some down time. I don't think I realized how tired I was. I've taken a nap every day for the past three days and slept in every morning!

Doreen, I find when I get some much needed rest like that I feel so much more energetic. It is nice you have some time off. Sometimes those slower paced movements can be even harder than flying through them. I have always like STS Total Body. As usual there are premixes and you can do just upper or just lower, but I like it as is.

Hi everyone,

I ended up taking a rest day yesterday. Just didn't wanted to do anything except relax, that's exactly what I did :)

I just finished Hammer Conditioning & 15 Min. Leg Hammer. Loving these workouts.

Have a great Sunday.

Today was a rest day. I worked out 8 days in a row since I had skipped a day the last two weeks. We did not have family brunch so we were able to get a lot of things put back into place around here. Next weekend painters will be here, but at least that is outside. The only issue I will have is letting Gertie outside. I will have to walk her. She is likeing having access to her crate since it was buried behind other things in the sun room. I need to start painting my workout room soon. I think I will take a bit of a break though. I really wanted to have time to do a painting for my granddaughter's birthday in June.

Belinda, I am glad that you are enjoying Hammer and Chisel. I kind of think the 15 minute leg hammer and 15 minute glute chisel have a bit of cardio feel to them.

I took yesterday off because my daughter had an early soccer game and I couldn't get motivated afterwards.

Thus morning I did RIPT 90 back breaker and then walked along with my kids during their golf tournaments. 6.7 miles is what my pedometer logged.

Hey girls,

I did Hammer TB and a walk this morning.

Diane Sue - we did the same workout today. Impressive weights :)

Good night, everyone.

Belinda that is funny that we did the same workout. I was pulled between that one and Chisel Endurance. Thanks on the weights. I probably could have went heavier on some of it but I am being careful of my shoulders

Hey girls,

Chiseled Agility and walk is done.

Diane Sue - no way, I ever go that heavy again. My shoulders was bordering me for the longest time. I keep it light. My shoulder is thanking me. Good for you for listen to your body.

Good night, everyone.

It has been a non stop day today. It is bed time and I am just getting here. This morning I did Hammer and Chisel Chisel cardio. This one is not very cardiovascular. Not easy though. It was 39 minutes, 213 calories, Average heart rate was around 111 if I remember right. It has a lot of weight work with some jumping in it. I just do not think of pull ups, which I did with the fit tower the first roundfelt like cardio. I just did jacks and other cardio for that minute the second time. I then did X10 mix cardio blast and high low, 38 minutes, 305 calories. 10, 454 steps so far today. This added to my calorie total of 518 to make it 825 of exercise calories according to what is on MFP.

Belinda, Chisel Agility was one I was not sure about at first. After I did it a few times I liked it quite a lot and pretty much knew which directions to move next.

Good morning,

Hammer Strength + Hammer abs is done. I will do a short walk later.

Diane Sue - Chisel Agility is a lot of fun. Liked it the first time, you can easily modify that one and still get a great workout in. Good job on Chisel Cardio. Haven't done that one yet.

Happy Hump Day, everyone.

This morning I did ript 90 fit minute by minute. This is the new one jody came out with. I signed up for a free month of their on demand to test it out. You can also access the women's workouts but i previewed a couple and am not really interested... just interested in jody's new one.

After minute by minute I did zfit step by seasung.

Today I did Kelly
Coffey's Melt down both workouts mix, 59 minutes, 391 calories, heart rate 124 average/169 max. Watching clips is deceiving. This was a tough workout. I had looked at the worksheet and thought it looked light. I started out too heavy the first round. I liked it. I then did Kelly's Body Design lower body and yoga, 29 minutes (I did not use the warm up) 97 calories. Total time was 88 minutes, 488 calories. 4,619 steps so far. I liked the heavy bag boxing on the second workout of Meltdown. I had forgotten that was one of the things I was looking forward to. I broke the skin a bit though wearing my combat gloves. I should have worn the heavy bag gloves.
Weights on Meltdown I started with 15's for the dumbbells the first round but the second two I dropped to Kelly's 12. I used the 30# barbell and for the Kettlebell swings I used a 25# kettlebell . I just got notification that Gerties new Kong Toy is in the mail box. I bought her a tough toy that was kind of a tug toy and she has already chewed the corner off. Trying to protect the new flooring from her Big Nylabone.
Weights
3 rounds of all moves each exercise around 1 minute no rest between exercises
25# kettlebell
1 dumbbell seated overhead press with feet off the floor in a sort of leaned back v alternating sides 15#,12#,12#
dumbbell seated row and biceps curls leaning forward 15#, 12#,12#
bench press skull crushers 15#, 12#,12#
bench hops 1 rnd over the step, 2 nd rnd straddle hops, 3rd rnd over the step (this is holding onto the step)
barbell clean from hips 10 reps 35#,30#,30#
barbell thrusters 10 reps 30#,30#,30#
barbell front squats 10 reps 30#
finisher after all three rounds mountain climbers while holding onto the barbell on the floor
The lower body on Body Design used 1 pair of dumbbells. I used 15's and could have probably had some 20's for most of it. These are each done for 50 sec and Kelly does a double dumbbell move like squats and then a move like revers lunges holding one dumbbell

Doreen, I am always on the fence on signing up for streaming. I did Cathe's for a month. I know eventually streaming and downloads will take over. Have you checked out Kelly's new Workout she did on You Tube. I think she is planning on doing this routinely. I bet she is setting up for eventual streaming or something. Right now it is free.
