Happy Birthday Belinda. Enjoy your family time.

Doreen, nice mix of workouts yesterday.

I am not sure what I will do today. I still need to hit arms but want to try to omit shoulders. So many workouts incorporate shoulder work. I feel it is too much for mine.

Quick check in: I did Hammer Build Up + 15 min Leg Hammer this morning. That's it! Loved Hammer Build Up :) I like the 30 sec format. Great workout. Even DH liked this one.

Thank you, Diane Sue :)

I then did Strong and Sweaty Ramped Up Upper mix 12 triceps, triceps, biceps, biceps, 37 minutes 116 calories. Total time was 68 minutes 317 calories. We had taco dinner last night with family. I made a large broccoli apple salad that was really good. I am glad I have some left over.

Good Morning!

Yesterday i did RIPT 90 FIT - Metabolic Mania which was burpees, Cleans, jumping lunges. At the top of every minute you do 10 burpees, the next minute 10 cleans, the next minute 20 jumping lunges and then repeat for 7 rounds. The last round is AMRAP. Yikes that was killer at the end!

This morning was Chest and Arms. Another good solid lifting workout. These are all short so I added on Cardio& Weights step only premix to end my time this morning.

Today I did Kelly Coffey Body by Design using the mix of Kickbox with weights and lower body, 36 minutes, 208 calories, heartrate avg. 117 max 151. With Kickbox Kelly says to use no more than 5's I did 5's for most of the workout last time but was worried about the shoulder so kept it at 3#. My neck and shoulder area with the nerve damage was really hurting last night. For legs I used 25# and 5# ankle weights for the chair work. Kelly alternates moves like squats with two dumbbells and then a move like alternating reverse lunge with 1 dumbbell. . She also does some that are a combo of two moves like deadlift to plie. I followed this with Ice to the Mat stability ball only timesaver, 21 minutes, 46 calories. I then did Cardio Slam Floor only timesaver 25 minutes, 123 average heart rate 147 max, 167 calories finishing with Strong and Sweaty bonus abs, 13 minutes, 52 calories. My workout was 95 minutes, 473 calories. It seemed odd to me that I got a higher heart rate with Kelly's kickbox than I did Cardio Slam. Steps for workout were 4840. And also my inner thighs are still sore from the stability ball workout of Sharon Twombly's the other day.

Doreen, that is a brutal sounding workout. I am always trying to remember which dvds I have that throw in bunches of burpees. I think maybe one of the deluxe set of Combat has one like that and also Rev abs maybe? I haven't pulled wither out for quite awhile. Maybe I should check them out again. When I feel I want to torture myself into shape a bit more ;) That Cardio and Weights Step only mix used to be an add on for me a lot till I got a lot of other workouts. I would do that one or do Step Blast warm up and challenge only.

Belinda, I am sure you are enjoying your birthday fun weekend now :)

Diane Sue- I hear you on the burpees.. self inflicted torture. I did a paper program once that had burpees as the main cardio exercise. Once every week there would be a day of just burpees. Day 2 of the program was 100 burpees. By the end of the 3 months the last day was 175 medicine ball burpees. Brutal.

This evening I stopped by the thrift and found the Kettle worx set. I bought all of them I found- most were still in shrink wrap. I previewed a couple of them. Disappointing. I know with kettlebells to make it harder use a heavier bell but I think I will take them back. I found 9 of them so it was only $27 but still- if they just sit on a shelf I should just save my money!

Hey girls,

Quick check in: Yesterday I did Hammer Cardio and Hammer Power. I am working all day today, no time to workout.

I will try to check up tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend.

Today I just did All Out Low Impact Hiit, 39 minutes, 266 calories. That is all that I had time for. The painters came today and started working on the outside painting. They were here early. Tomorrow they plan on coming at 6:30 in the morning. That avoids some of the hot time of the day.

Doreen, I don't think I would have been enticed to do a paper workout that ended up with 100 burpees. That would be pure torture. I have seen sales for Kettleworx with the price marked down. I don't think they had great reviews. Can you take them back to a thrift store?

Belinda - good job on Hammer Cardio and Hammer Power. Those are short enough to do back to back.

Diane Sue- I can get store credit if I take back with the price tags still on within 10 day. Maybe I should start googling reviews in the store if I find something instead of buyer's regret! As for the paper program- It was at a point when I was really good about following programs, had burnt out on STS (and videos in general), and was looking for something different!

Early soccer games so I didn't work out until this evening. I did RIPT 90 FIT - Back and Quads. Its another quick, straightforward workout. I finished with To the Max Solid step and step tabata sections.

Doreen, I felt the same way at one point and did a Rachel Cosgrove book workout for awhile. Later I subbed portions of dvds for some of the kettlebell and weight segments. Some of Kettlebell Goddess was one that worked for me with that. It had some of the stuff like step up onto a box/bench and other moves that worked for me. I think I do better at least using portions of workouts for pushing myself.

Today I did Kelly Coffey meltdown, 171 calories. I don't have all my stats because I accidentally paused the Fit Bit. Map My Fitness Kept going but it does not have the heart rate on it. That is one of the things I liked about the Polar app but cannot use it with my Fit Bit. I then did Hammer Build Up from Hammer and Chisel, 32 minutes, 141 calories. heart rate for Hammer Build was 105 avg. / max 138. Total time was 63 minutes, calories burned 312.

Hey girls.

Today I did Chiseled TB & abs. I also walked 5 miles.

Have a great evening. I will catch up on personals tomorrow.

I did To The Max Extreme premix that includes the bonus and the abs with upper focus, 63 minutes, 546 calories heart rate avg. 134/max 174. I then did Kelly Coffey Body Design cool down and yoga 17 minutes 52 calories, heart rate 99 ave. /121 max. Total time 81 minutes, 598 calories. 4,191 steps.

Hi everyone,

I did Hammer Power and walked 4 miles and Zcut #5.

Diane Sue and Doreen - nice job!

Have a great day, everyone.

I did Amy Bento ASC 1 this morning. Dreary and raining here so I just felt like a little stepping even through the RIPT 90FIT rotation called for burpees in Minute by Minute! Maybe I'll do it tomorrow - or not, we'll see!! HA!

Belinda, you are really flying through the Hammer and Chisel workouts. Are you doing the rotation? Do you have a lot of the Z cut workouts?

Doreen, sometimes a workout that is fun is a lot more motivating than one where you have to really push yourself. It sounds like Ript 90 is some tough challenging workouts.

Good morning,

Chiseled Balance and Glutes is done. I also walked,

Diane Sue - Hammer & Chisel are a lot of fun. Lots of variety too. Yes, I am doing the rotation. I am in week 5. I do have a lot of Zcut workouts. I think I have them all, lol. I bought them when they came out. Which was a long time ago. Do you have all the Z cut workouts?

Have a great day and workout everyone.

So I did keep with the rotation and did RIPT 90 FIT minute by minute. Its 21 rounds of 3 burpees, 5 squat press, 7 sit ups. You start each round on the minute so however fast you complete is how much rest you get. I did 15# the whole way through on the squat press.

Then I finished with a Metabolic Total Body premix I had made just using all the squat and deadlift sections with the swings in between for 25 minutes.

I want to do another round of Hammer and Chisel. Might not be until later this fall though as pretty soon I'll head outside for summer workouts.
