Let's chat at 11am if you are around :-)

HI CATHE! Congratulations on your achievements! I wish I worked for you - he he!;-) I'm in the same profession, or will be soon (graduate in May). You are my mentor and I learn new techniques and such from you that I will bring into my work! Thanks so much for your state of the art knowledge! You are a huge impact in my life! :)

One quick question: when you are doing pull aparts (I believe that is the name you call them in your workouts) with the resistance band, do you recommend holding the band with palms up, or thumbs up? My co-worker says thumbs up, but I recall palms up from your teachings. Haha, the sentence sounds so funny reading back over it!

Thanks again for all you do! Well wishes to you and your staff for the remainder of the product:7

Thank you so much X! You are funny with your ab question. I guess I didn't really think about it much. It's just so much easier to move about without all the sweating, sticking to the mat, and hiding microphone wires when they are covered. I'll keep your thoughts in mind though for a future series. I'm sure I can deal with these few issues for at least one workout:7

Hi Lisa Marie! Congratulations on your pregnancy. I also love your avatar photo of your wedding day.

Pregnancy is a time to just take fitness day to day and at the very most, maintain the fitness level you have right now. You should not strive to become more fit when pregnant. Your body is going through hormonal and growth changes on such a daily basis that it is impossible and not recommended to add a fitness goal to this very physically, nutritionally, and emotionally demanding time in your life.

Please continue to visit the pregnancy forum for support and information. You should be aware of the changes in your body at each trimester of pregnancy and adjust your workout to accomodate these changes. Please email me again if you are having trouble getting this info from our pregnancy forum.

Best wishes mommy-to-be!

RE: Favorite STS Workout?

Hi Heather!!! Yippee we are done filming. Thank you for all your continued support and enthusiam. Be sure to ask me this question on a separate day....I am being dragged out of here now :7

RE: Favorite STS Workout?

Bye Everyone! I'm sorry I didn't get to all of your questions. I am literally being pulled from my computer to get to editing on time. Bye...I'll be back another time....

RE: Favorite STS Workout?

Hi Cathe,

I hope you are still around. I just sent an email to your gym's customer service asking if you'll be teaching any classes in August. If so, it will be great visiting your gym on my way to the shore. If not, maybe I'll bump into you on the beach. :)

Have a great day!

Wendy

Congrats on finishing filming.

Also, I met with a personal trainer at our local gym as part of a wellness program and as he was showing me some exercises on the weight machines he said that he could tell I workout quite a bit. I felt my face turn red and I was so happy that someone actually noticed. So thanks for all the hard work you do so that we can be better than we were before.

So what's for lunch?

Hi Cathe!!

Quick question on the pull up tower...any idea when it will be available? I am absolutely DYING to get it!!! I want to be able to do a pull up!!

Hi Jess. Actually there is no chat room. This thread was the chat. We just posted our questions or comments here and Cathe answered them. Also, it was 11 eastern time.:)

Okay I'm new and I'm frustrated. I just purchased "basic step + cardio & weights" Did I miss something between the two? After learning all the steps in the basic, thought I was ready for the next level. However, this chick is bouncing around like a rabbit, doing things that were not even mentioned in the basic. Only a professional dancer who understands her terminology could follow. I wasted my $$

You didn't waste your money. Step workouts as with some others have a learning curve. BASIC step are just some basic moves. You may need to review the new workout and learn the steps before trying to follow in a workout and it may take a few times but it'll be worth it. Cathes workouts are the best on the market. If you still don't want it sell it on ebay and you'll get most of your $ back as Cathes DVDs have a high resell value compared to other w/o videos. I'd recommend sticking with it though.

Ok, first of all, this is not the thread to be posting comments like that. If you're that unhappy, then you should just return it. Every single instructor has different step terminology and choreography. Patience!!

Hi Cathe!

I need some advice. Another member last year gave me a schedule based on your DVDs Basic Step, Body Fusion and Total Body Sculpt. I bought the Step Fusion Body Kit (did I say that right?) from Target last year and have finally put it to use. I just want to make sure that I am doing the exercises in the right order based on my goals.
I am currently 5'7", 32 years old, with a 37% body fat (I weigh 190) and I don't like being overweight. I have two kids (small ones) and I am tired all of the time. I want to look my age again. I would like to be at least a size 10 again (currently 16/18), what would be your advice? By the way I do have fun with the workouts once I finally control my breathing and get through the whole workout without stopping to drink something or blow my nose.;) Thank you for your help.

Ana: this 'chat' was over several days ago, and I doubt Cathe will return to this thread. You'd have a much better chance of getting an answer if you posted a NEW thread in the "Ask Cathe" forum.;-)

Hi Ana! Just wanted to say Welcome to Cathe's forums. Looking forward to getting to know you. LOVE your screen name!
