Hi Ladies - I'm done splurging too! Last week was TTOM and for some reason - I just wanted some junk food. Sometimes I think I need to have the junk to get the cravings out of my system and now I can get back on track. I'm up to 156 and want to get to between 145-150. I can get to 152-151 pretty easily, but getting 150 and maintaining is hard. BUT I will say I think STS is helping because my clothes are loosening up even though my weight is up a bit. I'm very sure I'm retaining some water from the DOMS - I feel like a weight drop is coming. Just need to help it along now.
Friday was a rest day, Saturday was back and biceps, Sunday stationary bike, Monday Spin class, today - week 2, Meso 2 begins.
Jane - great job on the 10 miler - I love running in the cooler weather. I'm bummed I'm not out there myself. I can't imagine putting a plate on my back - I have used the weight vest before and it's HARD!!!
Alisha - Hope you are feeling rested. Those kittens sound so cute!
I have supersets too but I don't think I've done it either - I need to stop buying workouts - I have way too many.
Last night we had friends over - another couple and their two kids. I grilled salmon and some local made lamb brats with sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese. I also grilled lots of summer squash from the CSA box and made a salad with CSA arugula, greens, and some tomatoes and basil from my patio along with some mozzerala from the store. I just mixed some olive oil and balsamic and pepper for the dressing. SO good!
Here's my beef though - this family is so picky - they kids and husband barely touched the vegetables and salad and the mom brought her own chicken to grill because they wouldn't eat salmon. Who doesn't eat salmon?! (except vegetarians of course). It was fresh, wild salmon from whole foods, super yummy. The mom and I are good friends but this food thing always comes up when we get together, they are the most picky eaters ever. My kids will eat almost anything. (RANT OVER).
David won first place in his group at a local Table Tennis tournament Saturday. That was very cool!
OH! And we bought a new car yesterday. Honda was having a great deal on 2010's. We have a new minivan (not the most exciting thing, I know). Here's a strange thing about my DH and me. I refuse to participate in the car buying process. I hate shopping for cars - yet the new car is my car. DH wanted to get one so I just sent him to the dealer and let him pick out whatever he thought was right for us. So I'm picking up my new car Wednesday and I've never seen it.
My friend (the one mentioned above) thinks it unimaginable that I would hand over car buying 100% to my DH. She and her DH buy their own cars without consulting each other - which I think is kind of the other extreme.
But I trust my DH 100% when it comes to cars - he's very interested in cars and knowledgeable, and I just don't care what I drive, so why not let him handle it?
