Jogglers September

Hi ladies,
I did Supersets again last night. I like the fact that it has good biceps exercises and some good back work in there too. It's not just hammer curls and regular curls. I did Bum Bum this morning. I brought the dogs to work so it will be dog walking and puppy class tonight.

Cindi - YAY!!! I'm so glad you were able to joggle comfortably! That's great. Congrats on the new car too.

Tricia - Mmm, I so love sweet potato fries. I can't imagine doing all of Cathe's workouts in a year. There are so many. (And I hate step/cardio :)

Alisha - Kittens can be h*ll. I love them but they are so much harder to direct than puppies are. And kittens love to play. All. Night. Long. Glad you had fun kitty sitting.

Hi Jane!

Lisa

Hi Everyone,

I'm doing the following workout today:

6 Driveway Runs
30 Suitcase Deadlifts
30 Push ups
30 Sandbag Cleans to Shoulder (15 each side)
30 Ball Slams
30 Weighted Sit ups
30 Swings
30 Jump Squats
6 Driveway Run

Tricia ~ Hope you had a good run this morning.

Cindi ~ CONGRATS on your pain free joggle!! How long has it been since you ran? I'm sooo happy for you!

Hi Alisha and Lisa!

Cindi - YAY!!!!! I'm so glad you were able to get in a joggle and didn't have any problem! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it continues to go well for you!

Lisa - SS is becoming one of my faves, too! I'm going to do it again on Monday (did I say that already? Oops.). Maybe my kitty is just getting to middle age, because he doesn't play at night. Occasionally, I'll hear him in the kitchen trying to dig into the plastic grocery bags! He loves crunchy noisy stuff! Most of the time, he just sleeps. Thank goodness!

Jane - Nice workout, as usual!

Well, ladies. I didn't run this morning. Was up until after 11 last night. DH is getting home so late from classes! There's just so much construction on the highway and they block it down to one lane at night. Sigh. I just couldn't drag my butt out of bed! I have to get back on track though! Before I know it, October 31st will be here! I must be ready!

Push Pull tomorrow - REALLY!!!!

Have a great night everyone!

Hello Alisha!

Good morning ladies,
The pups and I did two miles yesterday afternoon and then puppy class. Ben helped at puppy class and was very good except for the part where he pretended I was killing him when I touched his tummy while demonstrating a "stand". Then I realized I'd never done tummy touches with him - oops. Something to practice. I haven't done much training at all with my dogs lately so I'm going to take them to the park and work with each one separately for a little bit.

I will do an upper body workout this evening (probably Pyramid) or a kb workout. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow :D

Does anyone know if the pre-sale is over? I thought someone said it was over but it seems to still be up. I wonder when it ends.

Tricia - I love Push-Pull. Obnoxious play at night seems to be a young kitten thing. Thank goodness they grow up. My adult cats still like to play at night occasionally but its usually little things like climbing in and out of the cupboards.

Jane - Your workout sounds awesome like usual.

Hi Cindi and Alisha!

Lisa

TGIF!!

This is what I'm doing tonight:

Do as many rounds as you can in 35 minutes.

1-arm kettlebell swing x5/5
Slashers 5/5
1-arm kettlebell press x5/5
1-arm kettlebell front squat x5/5
1-arm kettlebell thruster x5/5
1-arm kettlebell row x5/5
Mr Spectaculars x5
Squat Thrusts x10

Lisa ~ I checked the website and the pre-sale is still going on. In the past, they have posted when the pre-sale would end. It's usually done by a thread at the top of the forum.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Lisa - I thought the presale was supposed to end on 8/31, but they're still showing that it's on! Glad Ben could help you out! I've never had a pup be surprised or startled by a belly touch. I guess I've always rubbed bellies! Enjoy your workout tonight!

Jane - Another nice workout!

I was going to do PP this morning, but when DH called before heading home from school last night, he wanted to run with me, so, we got up at 5 and hooked up Milo and ran! I'll do PP tomorrow instead. It was nice to have him along!

When I was putting my shoes on this morning, I was bent over and right by the end of the other couch (small living room). I happened to catch a head popping out from under the couch! It was Simon! I laughed because he hasn't been able to get under the couch in years and hasn't really tried (other than ducking his head under and thinking he was hiding). I started to pet him and talk to him and he started to come out. I felt something funny on his back and when he came out a bit more, I saw that it was a plastic bag!!! Somehow, he had gotten the handle of a bag wrapped around his head and one front leg! I freaked! I picked him up and tried to get it off, but couldn't one-handed, so DH had to help me! He must have been so scared and dove under the couch! I have no idea how long he had been like that! Needless to say, I immediately moved our stash of plastic bags to a higher location! I'm so glad he was okay!

Hope you all had a great Friday! Enjoy your weekend! Anyone have anything fun planned?

Aww Tricia, I'm sorry to hear about Simon! I know how scared you must have been. Thank goodness it wasn't any worse than it was. Buster (the Brittany in the pics I posted on FB) got his collar tags caught in a folding chair the other night and freaked. It's scary when something happens and you realize how bad it *could have been*. Someday I'll have to tell you the story about waxing my legs on the kitchen floor and my kitten Floyd trying to "help" me...

Jane and Tricia - Thanks for the feedback about the presale. It's still on but when I tried to checkout it seems that the 15OFF code is only valid on orders over $75 so I'm going to think about it a little more. I'm on a very tight budget until the end of the month.

I haven't worked out yet today and it looks like it isn't going to happen. I'll do something good in the morning though. Saturday and Sunday are good workout days for me because I have plenty of time in the morning.

I had a weird moment today. I had someone say to me, "Oh you look really skinny. Are you okay?" It was really weird because A) I've been within 5 pounds of my current weight for the past 1.5 years and B) she's skinny in a smokes cigarettes, takes a million prescriptions and doesn't workout kind of a way. It was very weird. It was almost a compliment until it wasn't... I have to assume her intentions were good but whatever :D

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm working with a puppy tomorrow afternoon. Other than that, nothing exciting planned.

Oh Tricia, Ben has a tummy phobia, he always has. He doesn't like it when I groom his belly and feathers. It's something I should work on with him but I keep not making the time. My dogs get to be like the cobbler's children sometimes. I'm so busy working with other dogs that I get home and don't work with my own the way I should. We had a good group session in the yard this afternoon though.

Morning Lisa!

I understand being on a tight budget!

Hm, that was kind of weird coming from someone so unhealthy! I think sometimes people are just that unobservant (I get like that at times) that they suddenly realize they've missed something pretty obvious. Not everyone is a a great speaker either! LOL! The words just don't always come out quite right! (I do that too sometimes) Hopefully, she was just having one of those awkward moments?

Poor Ben! Glad the kids got some of Mom's attention yesterday! It is hard to work and then come home and work some more, even if it is your "family!"

Enjoy your weekend! I hope you are having some cooler weather! We are and it's beautiful! We've turned the a/c off and can actually open some windows during the day!

Not sure what's on my agenda today. Playing it by ear!

Good Morning Cindi, Jane and Alisha!

This morning I did Providence and the back, bi and shoulder work from SS. It's raining here but we are going for a walk and then off to work with a puppy.

Tricia, you're right. I'm assuming that she meant well and it just came out wrong but it was just weird :) I'm also trying to set aside more time to work with my dogs. Luckily they are pretty good so I don't feel like we really *have* to work on anything but unfortunately it means that a lot of times I just don't. Bad doggy-mom.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Lisa

No internet service

I haven't had internet service for a couple of days now. So, on Friday I did 4DS LIS step only premix. I don't remember that being as hard as it was. Go figure.

I am back on my diet again. Last week was a series of abberant chocolate covered raisin grabs and natural cheetos stained fingers. This week its all fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken and plenty of coconut oil and olive oil. I'm not making any more fiber brownies. I love them a little too much.

Jane- That looks like a tough workout. Well, maybe you are skinny! That lady probably wasn't seeing the world that you and I see, so don't worry about it. Sometimes people just feel the need to say something and what they say has no relation to reality at all. But, if it were me, I would just say, "Oh yes I am skinny cause I do these great workouts!"

Cindi- I am so glad you were able to run again! Thats awesome!

Tricia- poor Simon! I would be scared if I got tangled in a plastic bag. Of course, it would be a very large plastic bag.

Lisa-I've never encountered a pup that didn't like belly rubs. I wonder if he was tender/ had a tummy ache.

Hi Everyone,

I did a 9.5 mile run that was pretty much pure torture (ok maybe it wasn't that bad) but I didn't feel like I did last week. Humidity was up, temperature was up and I kept running through spider webs. Yuk!

At the 4.5 mile mark we had a dog start running with us. It was the sweetest dog and very well behaved. No running in the street and no barking at other dogs. But it had no collar. It looked well taken care of but could have been on the lean side. He/She looked like a German Shepherd mix of some kind. He ran about 3 miles with us and then some other people came by and he crossed the street and ran with them. I'm not sure if the was a stray. So we had a running companion for a while on our run.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon!

Hi Everyone!

Jane - Backyard Traveling W/O - Only, ONLY 3 rounds? 2 would probably have put me on my back panting and crying! Wow! Nice 9.5 mile run too except for the webs! That would have freaked me out so badly, I don't know if I would have quit and gone home, run wildly into the street and gotten hit by a car or ducked behind someone and let THEM get the webs! Ugh! Did I mention I have arachnaphobia? What a sweet pup to keep you company for a while! Heat and humidity makes any run harder!

Alisha - I think I would have died without my internet! Or, at the very least, gone to a Wi-fi free zone for a bit each day! I'm right there with you on staying clean this week! Since counting my calories again, I'm down one of those nasty 5 lbs. I gained! I also found this great website that will calculate the nutritional value of any recipe! I posted the link in the OD forum, too, but here it is so you don't have to go there! LOL! It came in handy for me today! Don't know if anyone here could use it, but just in case.

I've been lazy all weekend. Haven't lifted a finger (or a leg, or a butt or db or bb) and it's been great! I know, I don't plan on making it a habit! I rescheduled everything this week, so I'm finally going to do Push Pull tomorrow. Really!

Hi Lisa and Cindi!

Where are all my fellow jogglers today??

I am doing the following workout this evening:

5 Rounds
15 Box Jumps
15 Push ups
3 Rounds
10 Weighted Squats
20 Ball Slams
Then
50 Sit ups

Tricia ~ I tried to get my sister to run in front of me so she could run through the webs. In the beginning of the run, it was still dark so we couldn't see them. You just felt them when you ran through them. Luckily we were able to see the web that had a spider in it and it was above our heads. We had to pass under that web 3 times!

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!!

Jane - I don't know about everyone else, but it's Monday! I had to work! LOL!

Great workout for tonight! OMG! If I had seen that spider, I would not have been able to keep going! Yikes!

I finally did Push Pull this morning. What a difference a high step makes! I love all my new toys! I'll be out running in the dark and much cooler morning air tomorrow! Haven't decided yet if I want to do a short run or moderate run. I'll figure it out on the road!

Have a great night! Hello to all our missing Jogglers!

Hi ladies - got my workout in yesterday. Disk 18. I'm skipping week 3 of meso two and moving to week 4 because I'm going out of town next week and that will be my recovery week. Then I'll be back with Meso 3 after that.

Disk 22 today.

We were out of town this past weekend to visit my mom and dad at my brother's house so I was playing catch up Sunday and yesterday.

Another busy week ahead and we are going out of town again because David and Paul are playing at a Table Tennis tournament in Milwaukee.

Lisa - thanks for the congratulations on the joggle and the car. :) I'm hoping to have a little joggle time again this week. Did the pre-sale end? Did you order? re: the skinny comment - that does seem weird - sometimes people comment to me that I've lost weight when nothing has changed, I wonder if it's just clothes or hair or something.

Jane - spider webs creep me out. 9.5 miles in heat and humidity plus spider webs would be tough!

Tricia - glad you like your new high step! Simon's ok after the plastic bag truama? I know I should have collars on the cats but they are inside all the time and I'm always worried a collar would catch on something when I'm not home.

Alisha - HI!! Glad the internet is back.

EATING - so I picked up the Jackie Warner book This is Why You are Fat. Good book! Nothing new or really earth shattering but I feel like her program is layed out more simply than other similar clean eating programs. She's also very specific about how to do your cheat meals. Pete and I are following the program and are on day 2 now. I was pretty hungry yesterday and it's tough getting used to no sugar. But I think after a few days, it will settle in and be ok.

Pete needs to lose 50 pounds and and this program appeals to him so we are going with it. I would like to lose 10. I'm up to 156 now and want to be between 145 and 150 before the holidays kick in.

We've been watching her show Thintervention too - it's good!

Hi ladies,
Sunday I went climbing.

Yesterday I did a morning dog walk up on top of the mountain and High and Tight last night.

This morning I did BBL Sculpt. I may do a CC this afternoon before dog class if it isn't too hot.

Jane - Cobwebs are one of the few things I hate about leading the horseback rides. I get to clean most of them with my face.
Lisa

Its a Tuesday

Yesterday was bleh. I had one of those, "I can't stand up" days, blood pressure in the sewer. Standing was not easy. I hate just sitting around and watching tv. yuck. That said, I did do MMA Boxing, I skip the core section, do the boxing 2x and got a 500 cal. burn. I put on a little weight, I don't have the guts to get on the scale, but I am softer/pudgy. So, I am definitely being good. No more nuts, chocolate, marshmallows or chex. I do know better. Really. Not that you could tell from my behavior.

This morning was melon and tilapia. Healthy start to a new week. Today's workout will be LIC. I'm spending the day on the computer editing. Planned dinner is green beans, chicken breast with sun dried tomatos and artichoke hearts. mmmm. makes me hungry just thinking about it.

I will catch the personals tomorrow,

Alisha

Cindi,
I think we posted at the same time. I haven't preordered yet. I think it ends at the end of the month. I'm just on the fence. I might just wait until people get the new workouts and see what the reviews are like. Are you loving your new car?

Alisha,
Hope you feel better soon. I felt gross on Sunday but am feeling better now.
Lisa
