Heartbroken...

Brighton, I am so sad for your loss. I lost one of my best friend's to lung cancer last summer (she never smoked) and it was truly heartbreaking so I know the grief you are feeling. I will keep you and her family in my prayers.

Thank you so much for all of your kind words... I can't adequately tell you how much it means in a time like this. It never fails to move me how supportive you all are here in Catheland.

Even though we've known this outcome was imminent for about a month, (and knew it was probably terminal since December) it is still hard for me to wrap my brain around. Jen was my college roommate and good friend for over 9 years. She is the one that introduced me and DH. She was one tough warrior and fought hard for over three years. It is so hard to see the pain that her lovely family is going through. We are doing all that we can to try and help comfort them... but words really fail me at a time like this. The funeral is scheduled for Friday...

I am so sorry to hear of others' losses to this awful disease-- cancer is just such a monster. (((group hug)))

Thanks again, everyone. Much love to you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my sister to brain cancer when she was 25 and it was definitely heartbreaking. My prayers go out to you and her poor family.

I am so terribly sorry to hear that! :(:(:( It seems there are quite a few Cathletes here who have lost a loved one to cancer-- and it just seems even more cruel to lose someone at such a young age. (((HUGS))) No one should have to die from this awful disease-- let alone so young. My heart goes out to all of you who have experienced loss.

Thanks again, everyone for all your kind words! I am just so overcome. Words just aren't doing it for me right now.

On a positive note, though-- I did Imax 3 today and FINALLY got the pegleg-pivot-pegleg-mambo combo down!!! (I am a bit choreographically challenged.) Ah, sometimes it's the little things in life, right? :)

I am so sorry to hear that!

We lost a very close friend to bone cancer in 2001, I really know how you feel. There really is nothing that anyone can say to make it feel better. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Brighton:

this is indeed a sad day, I am sorry for your loss and my deepest sympathies go to the family of your friend. Those poor children...
