Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for March 2021

Today I am exhausted. I could not fall asleep last night and then I had hot flashes so bad, I swear, I didn't get any sleep at all. I will be taking today off to recover and hopefully tomorrow I will have more energy. My arms are still very sore from Friday's workout, this tells me that I am really out of shape in terms of lifting weights. It is time to make some changes in my workouts now that I feel good.

Debbie, we have an inversion table too, I don't use it though because my ankle goes out from the hanging. My son uses it every single day. I bet your have something out of alignment that is pushing on a nerve which is causing pain. If I were you, I would go to PT or a NON FORCE chiro to get to the bottom of your issue. Just have them adjust your shoulder and arm and start with that first. I know you had a bad experience before but that is a shame, there are some great chiro's out there, do some research.

Doreen, great job getting it done today. Did you get a lot of snow yesterday? How is your daughter doing?

I hope you all have a great workout today. BBL to read your posts for the day.

Hi everyone,

Today I did SBF new 7 day Cardio Boot Camp Interim Challenge D1 BarreAmped® Cardio Sculpt plus a long walk.

Doreen - I reviewed all the workouts. I only did one workout which was good. I doubt I could use them over and over again. I don't think I will keep those workouts. Yes, the workouts are controlled and slow and very high reps.

Debbie - my husband has an inverted table. I can't use it either. DH loves it. Sorry you still have so much trouble. Hopefully you find out what's causing it. Great job this morning.

Jolie - nice job on your walk yesterday. Hope you get a well deserve rest today.

Roselyn - glad you like Chris workouts.

Diane - great job yesterday and today.

Good night.

This morning I walked on my treadmill for a bit and then did CDorner's #37 - Quick 20 Minute Mobility Routine. I think I did this one before, I really like it. She concentrates on the toes and feet and it is heavenly. She also stretches out the hips a bit and I like that as well. I always feel so good after a stretching workout that I've made up my mind and I will be doing at least three a week if not more. At least for the time being. I'm going to try and get a PT appointment scheduled for the week that I'm on spring break.

Diane - I'm sure you are so busy right now, I hope your moving goes well. Great job with your workouts yesterday, aren't CDorner's mobility workouts great? Wish I would have found them a year ago.

Jolie - I am planning on making an appointment with a PT for my spring break week. It is very apparent that I go see what is going on, I just hope they can tell me. Hope you enjoyed you rest day.

Belinda - It's a shame it bothers us both so much to use the inversion table, they are supposed to be excellent for our bodies. Hanging upside down isn't something I can do, however. I may get on it now and then but not every day. Nice job with your workout!!

Roselyn - You'll love CDorner's workouts, they are amazing and she is so fun.

Doreen - Good job with your workout yesterday! How is your daughter doing?

Have a great day everyone!!

This morning I did KCM Boxfit boxing and then Trim Down - Kelly's mix. Felt good to move around but I forgot to start my watch- grrr!!

Belinda - I'm thinking I'll try to run through them again and then decide.

My daughter's birthday is today. She doesn't seem too excited about it. I think she is doing better - still some things to work through but I think we are on a better path now.

Today I did CDorner Live Advanced Step from 2 days ago, 62 minutes, heart rate 145/174, 392 calories, 5,854 steps. I then did CDorner Stability ball abs, 19 minutes, 24 calories, heart rate 92/120, 12 steps. I was feeling soreness in my shoulder blades and upper back when laying on the stability ball so I did CDorner foam rolling routine #2 which I did the first part of before because the first 14 minutes is upper back. This time I did all of it and she goes to the hips and side of the quad then finishes off with wrist and neck stretches. I like this as she gets at muscles under and behind the underarm area. This was 29 minutes, 25 calories(really not much movement), 32 steps. Total time spent 1hr 50 minutes, 5,898 steps, 441 calories. I really needed the rolling and stretching today so since the electrician called and said it would be later today or tomorrow that he would get one of the breakers I decided to get a lot in as far as workout. I do not know why boxing causes me pain. I swear I am careful and I really wanted to do Kelly's Box and pump yesterday, so last night and thins morning I was feeling it. I love boxing though.
Be back in awhile to read posts.

Today I woke up feeling fantastic, I slept better because it was 39 degrees last night and I slept with my sliding door wide open so I was actually cool while sleeping for once. Also, I am finally pain free except for my left wrist but that I can get adjusted. This happens sometimes from lifting heavy DB's when doing a chest workout. Today I started my running again and I loved it. Cardio was all I did and weights tomorrow. I started with a 40 minute TM walk uphill traveled 2.2 miles, then I got on my Elliptical and ran on Interval Mode for 11 minutes and traveled 1.1 miles. I ended up getting on my TM for a 5 minute cool down because I was really breathing heavy after the run. Total workout time was 55 minutes, I traveled 3.3 miles and burned 605 calories. My heart rate was 143/185. I believe it, after 11 minutes running I was really damp with sweat and that rarely happens. I am excited to do it again.

I started Intermitted Fasting yesterday and boy do I feel good. I start to eat or drink and 7am in the morning until 4pm. After 4pm I do not eat anything until 7am the next morning. I also cannot drink anything except water or tea or some kind of 0 calorie drink. I was amazed out well I slept not having to digest food. At 3:30pm I have a large meal and then nothing for the rest of the day today. Also, my husband and I started taking CBD for sleeping, NO THC, and our pain has really gone away. I also gave it to my dog last night and he walked so much better today. I think this is why everyone is taking it right!

Debbie, great job on the walk and the stretching today! I still have to do my stretching but I will leave it for when I am watching the news later on today. I forgot to mention, great job on the interview for your school's spelling bee, you must be very proud of yourself!

Diane Sue, great workout today!!! How is the packing going? What day do you move?

Doreen, nice KCM workout today. Happy Birthday to your daughter! I am so glad to hear that she is doing better.

Belinda, I hope you have a great workout today. I will check back in later to read your post.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi guys,

I am in DC staying for a few day's with DD. We looked at a condo and today she got it :) This week is inspection.

Today I went for an hour long walk outside with DD, we also did SBF stretching. Not sure workout wise what I can do this week. Friday DD and I will get my hair done. I probably will be back home Friday night.

Debbie - it is a shame. I have my share on virtigo/sinus/ear infections and RP. I have to be careful doing anything upside down. Be carful!

Roselyn - great job on your leg workout today.

Doreen - that's a great idea running through them again. I probably will do D2 Fine toning tomorrow. Luckily DD has a few DB's somewhere, lol. Happy birthday to your DD. How is she doing?

Jolie - good luck with the intermitting fasting. I have never done anything like this. How long are you plan on doing it?

Diane - great job on CDorner Live Advanced Step today.

Have a great evening. I will be back tomorrow.

I am at that point of packing where trying to keep things organized by room and fit in the boxes is getting hard. I need more tall boxes. My big Kitchenaid mixer will not fit in a medium box and weighs a ton. How does one pack those kinds of things? We have not had movers very many times. Usually we rent a truck and do it ourselves and have had more time so those kinds of things did not need to be packed. I bought a two slice toaster and a small waffle iron so I could throw out the big ones. I am still using the Blaze for my workouts. Results are much better. It seems to pick up the heart rate so much better. It drops back down quick when I stop. The Versa 2 seems to barely go up from where I start and sometime is as high or a little higher when I stop working out.

CDorner Advanced Step today was Hip Hop type music with some Janet Jackson. She had a young girl Kaitlyn working out with her. I guess she filmed a few workouts with her while she was visiting the area. She has her own Youtube channel. C (can't remember her name) kept messing up and I think a lot had to do with some mat/pad that looked to be 2 inches thick she put under her step and it kept slipping and the step would come off. Once I got the moves down pretty well, I either looked at Kaitlyn or just did the combo without hardly looking.

Debbie I have done that CDorner Mobility and I really like it. She seems to pick areas to concentrate on in some of these. I only see two with foam rolling. The one I did today and the other is lower body focus. I really like her mobility workouts a lot. She mentioned that she had been to the doctor for her knee on the one today and commented that when we rolled to hit more quad from the side angle, but make sure you were not rolling on bone or the it band as it does not stretch as it is tissue. I found that interesting and looked up and it said if it is tight is caused by muscles from the glutes and misaligned hips. I hope PT helps you figure out what to do. C has you lie on the foam roller and move your arms up and down like they had me do with a towel roll at PT. I always wondered if lying on an inversion table would help open some space in the spine.

Doreen, great workout choices. It is so annoying to forget to start the watch. I hope your daughter perks up and enjoys her birthday.

Jolie, that is great that you felt so good this morning. I do not sleep well when it is cold or when it is too hot. I have read a lot of things that say not to eat close to bed time so the body does not have to be working on digesting food. I take New Chapter Magnesium with Ashwagandha and that seems to help me relax and sleep better. Once in awhile a melatonin tablet. I have read a lot of posts and threads where women said cbd did nothing for them. I have avoided all of it myself. I guess I just put it together with them legalizing marijuana and all of these dispensing places along with CBD everything showing up on the shelves. One seemed to come out with the other. Most that I have heard were just trying the CBD for pain and from my understanding it is like other supplements and quality makes a difference. Dr Axe is always talking about it. I am glad it seems to be helping you.
We are supposed to sign papers and move a week from Thursday. We were hoping to get an agreement to move in on Wednesday though, but so far not getting responses.

Roselyn, I am glad you liked CDorner. Nice work on the leg workout today.

Belinda, nice that you are spending time in DC with your daughter. That is great that she found a condo and inspection is already being done.

Today I did CDorner's #87 - Fast Bastic Step workout. It was really fun, loved the moves in this one, very easy to do but still tricky enough to be fun. Love her workouts, I wonder why she doesn't charge a subscription fee. I'm glad she doesn't, but she'd make tons doing that. I'm glad her workouts don't have commercial ads come up every now and again. I wonder why that is?

Workout was 45 minutes, burned 276 calories, did 4695 steps and HR was 117/153.

I also did my isometric exercises this morning.

Doreen - Glad to hear your daughter is doing better. Great workout yesterday, love Kelly's boxing workouts.

Jolie - I have the same issues with my wrists and heavy weights. I feel them go out of joint but I just shake my hands and it's all good. Great workout yesterday! I'm curious about the CBD oils. I wonder if you had a drug test if it would come out positive? I doubt it since the actual drug isn't in it. Thanks about my interview, it was fun. It was aired last Friday morning. I doubt anyone heard it, it's a radio station that is only sports. I'm not sure why they do the education section on that station? LOL!!

Diane - Dang girl, you really got some workouts in yesterday. Be careful doing so much, your neck and shoulders seem to be doing good, don't want to irritate them again. But you know your body, so just be careful. I really miss boxing and punching the bag. Why is everything I love to do being taken away? I hope I'll be able to do those workouts again soon. My tricep feels ok today, even after my workout. I've been icing it after each workout where I do arm movements. Seems to be helping. I heat it at night and that feels good too. I plan on doing that foam rolling workout you did - I will try it tomorrow. Sounds good and I'm anxious to hear what she says about the leg muscles and the IT band. She is a great instructor. Top notch, really. I wonder how you would box up that mixer and larger appliances like that. Unless you have the boxes they came it, it's hard to do. When do you have to be out of your house? Is the house you bought ready for you to move into?

Belinda - Have fun in DC!! Are the National Guards still there?

Roselyn - Great job with your leg workout!

Hope you all have a great day!

No workout today. I cant believe that I have to take my 2nd rest day already but I did not sleep again. I had the chills so bad last night, I could not warm up, my teeth were chattering and I was shaking. At 2am I took and Advil and that helped some, I finally fell asleep but got up at 7am exhausted. My husband was like this last week, could never warm up and had some congestion like me. He never got full blown sick so I am hoping the same thing for myself. I am NOT working out, I am listening to my body for once!!! Years ago I would have worked out no matter what, now NO WAY! I am sitting her with the heater on freezing and it is 50 degrees outside, that isn't that cold. I think I need to bundle up today and drink some lemon tea with Cheyenne Pepper in it. Hopefully tomorrow I will be better.

Debbie, your workout today sounds fun. I am going to look these up today and check them out. That is a pretty good calorie burn for you, right!

Diane, I put my mixer in a medium box, stuffed in packing materials and just taped the top though it bowed. I put it in my front seat of my car and just moved it myself. Some things I find you just cant pack very well, do a couple loads in your car yourself and they will not break. I moved probably 10 car loads of my breakables myself, I put them in baskets or other containers that I could carry them in using bubble wrap to support them so they didn't fall over or break.

Belinda, have fun with your daughter this week and I am so glad she found a condo. Enjoy your week.

Roselyn, great job on the leg workout!

Doreen, I hope you have a great workout today!

Have a nice day.

Today I kind of wanted to do weights, but decided I should wait another day and see how I feel. Moving boxes and things is probably plenty. I had to move heavy shelving yesterday to unplug the plug bar behind them. Anyway, I did Cathe Step Boss I Max 4 as I wanted to see how much different read out is from using the Versa 2 to using my Blaze today. This was 48 minutes, heart rate 141/178 ,289 calories, 3,723 steps(I checked an old entry and average was 122 for heart rate and steps was over 4,000, calories, 73 less) It seems I have not done I Max 4 much. I always got discouraged when I did it. Plus, most of the last 6 months has been Coffey Fit Raw and Cathe Live along with the Perfect 30 dvds. Those are packed right now. I could pull out the external drive with the downloads or laptop, but I will wait.
I also did CDorner's latest mobility workout, Mobility Core Work and Stretch, 30 minutes, 31 calories. 93 steps. This one had planks, boat pose with arm mobility added, some things a bit hard on my neck as I cannot hold those poses without my head supported for very long so I had to hold 1 hand behind my head. She does end this with wrist and hand mobility and a neck stretch:)

Debbie, I ended up putting the mixer on it's side in a box as it could not stand up and packed light things around it like a package of napkins. I used lots of tape on this as well. Plus I add fragile stickers for my electronics. You would think most cabinets are empty I would be done, but not the case. Wondering why we have 5 televisions. I am being careful. I did not use the weight Kelly used for some of that work and definitely did not use 2# for boxing. Hard as I try to not feel it in my shoulders and lats, I end up being sore. Kelly put up a live on her facebook home page with her son, but it is more boxing. I am glad that I found CDorner and she does mostly step and some floor cardio without boxing. Doing that does not seem to bother my neck and shoulders. I need to do that mobility short one that does neck and shoulders again. From my understanding CDorner ( I think it is Chris) has done a lot of fitness jobs. It seems she is finding this fun to do though. I am glad she is not charging myself. I think I did one of the longer workouts and it stopped for a bit for ads. I think if they pay money for their channels they can skip adds, but I am not sure about that. I just remember reading somewhere that if the videos are longer than a certain point the adds come back on. Fortunately you can start back where you left off.
The being out of our house is the problem. The one we are moving to is vacant. They or repairing something that is the builders fault and had to tear out some wall for the air and replace the air unit. We have been trying to get someone to work out something so we can move in a day before closing or the buyers let us stay till the movers get everything out on closing day. We close for them first and two hours later on our new home. It has to be that way. I am trying not to feel anxiety about this, but it is a week we have left.
Nice work today. I do like that her moves are different at times and not difficult. It makes it fun.
I bet the parents of students that are in sports probably pay attention to the station. Some people really love anything to do with sports activities.

Jolie, I hope you get some rest and feel better. Maybe you and your husband have come down with something. Weird though, as I have had some off again on again feeling lousy and yesterday I had chills and goose bumps. I put on my hoodie and sat in the recliner with a blanket and took a nap. It was 80 outside yesterday. I had no fever. Just weird. I have had a lot of fatigue lately, sleeping okay at over 6 hours a day. But I sit down and nod off at the computer and some days have just went upstairs grabbed a pillow and napped on the hard floor for a few minutes to get going again. I really think for me is is stress and probably part of it is to do with the arthritis and stuff. I have not had a fever or anything like that. Yes, it is best to take a break from working out. I used to be the same. Once I got pneumonia and had felt a little ill that morning and did a hard interval workout. Late in the day I was terribly sick. But, generally when I have congestion without fever working out seems to help some. But, it can push whatever is going on over the edge quickly. I have a little Chevy Spark and my dog goes with me. Not sure how much I am going to stuff in the car, but I am going to try. I checked travel time without the highway and it will take me 35 minutes to drive to the new house.

This morning I walked on my treadmill and then did the CDorner Foam Roller #2 workout. It was good, wish she would have hit the upper body a bit more. I really felt it in the side of my quads, though, they are always so tight. I will do a mobility one from her tomorrow.

My last uncle passed away last night on my dad's side. I only have one aunt from my dads side left and no aunts or uncles from my moms side. This period of life is sad, I hate seeing everyone I'm close to pass away.

Diane - LOL on wondering why you have 5 TV's. I hear you. Seems we get one every day. Where do they come from? LOL!! Oh don't get me wrong, I am glad Chris isn't charging for her workouts either, I love them. But it just surprises me. I liked the foam rolling workout ok, I'll try the other one she has out next week. I like her mobility workouts better, I was never really fond of using the foam roller unless I have a spot to loosen up.

Jolie - Hope you are feeling better today. I hate when that happens, especially if you are feeling super good the day before. I'm sure it was just a 24 hour bug or something, I'm sure you're back to feeling good today. I had a hard time sleeping again last night as well. Not sure why, I never have a hard time sleeping. Since our stupid time changed it's been terrible for me. I'm so tired this morning. Anyways, hope you are better today!! Yes, check out CDornerfitness on Youtube. Awesome stuff.

Belinda - Hope you're having fun!

Roselyn - Great workout yesterday!

Doreen - Waving hi!!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi,

Yesterday I walked 3 times with DD and her dog. I also did SBF TB Cardio Hitt. Today will be a walk at some point and SBF stretching. Maybe I will do one of Lift & Shift?

I been watching the German/European news about the vaccine. The German and other European countries stopped/investigating the use of astrazeneca vaccine. That's one of the lesser one :( It suppose to destroy your white blood counts and people getting blood clogs from the vaccine. Not to mention are lot of people are dying after getting vaccinated.

Debbie - I am so sorry about your Uncle passing. My thought and prayers are with you and your family. No, they don't have National Guards there anymore.

Jolie - sorry your are not feeling well. Good idea to take it easy. Hope you feel better.

Doreen - I probably will run though all of L&S next week to get a feel for them. Like everyone mention Chris workouts are amazing. I want to do more of her workouts too. I doubt I will keep them with so many similar workouts on YT.

Diane - have you moved yet? Great job keeping up with your workouts.

Roselyn - great job with Chris workouts.

I will be back later.

I did CDoerner Intermediate step this morning. It was a fun routine with good music.

I requested a refund on Jessica Smith's Lift & Shift. With all that is going on right now with work, kitchen remodel, daughter I don't have the focus to stick to a rotation which means they would just sit in my account not being used. I did a youtube back and bicep workout yesterday and during it thought - this is so much more fun - so that's what made me decide. I don't want to force myself right now to do something just for results!! (and I forgot I want to try to do 30 Day breakaway on BBOD at some point)

Doreen - you did the rotation for 2 weeks, right? I totally understand about asking for a refund. I probably will do the same running through them.
