Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for March 2021

Good morning,

SBF D60 LB Mixed Cardio + LB Stretch Target. I also did Cathe Live “Total Body Mashup” Great TB workouts. She did 20 reps/16 reps and 10 reps. Cathe repeated each grouping twice than she did a cardio in-between. Loved she showed modifications for her high impact stuff. Great workout!

Debbie - I am so sorry you got into a car accident. I am glad you are ok. I know it's a pain dealing the insurance. My husband was rear ended last year, our car was totaled :( Sorry about your doctors appointment too. You really need to get an x tray. Ask for one! I did :) I got tired of taking meds and shots that didn't help. Good luck with everything!!

Roselyn - you like Chris workouts. She is a lot of fun.

BBL!

Yesterday was a rest day, I colored and cut my moms hair and it came out so cute. Today I walked on the TM for 60 minutes uphill, traveled 3.25 miles, burned 601 calories. I did some great stretching for my hip flexors and hamstrings and boy does that feel good. All of the pain is going away in my hips now so I need to stretch everyday going forward. Heart rate was 132/182

Debbie, so sorry about your car accident.

I need to get my mom onto the road to go back home so I will catch up on posts later on in the day.

Happy Thursday. Tomorrow I have an early appointment so I am not sure if I will get a workout in or not. If not, I will workout both Saturday and Sunday.

No time for a workout today. I had multiple phone calls and my doctor appointment with the cardiovascular doctor. My blood pressure was normal this time and he discussed things with me. They will do an ultrasound next time I come in. He just said they needed to watch the leaky valve as that is something that Rheumatoid arthritis can cause. So, I am good for now. Talking to him and the pulmonologist I am learning more about RA. I always thought it was just joint related, but it attacks other things too.

Debbie, I am sorry about the accident on the way to the appointment. That is good that you managed to get to your appointment anyway. Maybe the blood work will show something. My tests for RA never showed it, but fortunately my doctor knew about negative RA, having it herself. Not everyone tests showing it. There is also a variety of types of arthritis. I think the arthritis center does quite a bit more with the blood work. I make myself a copy of the report online so I can compare changes. I try to change diet and whatever supplements that might help particular issues after researching. Anyway, my first visit was with my doctor and she referred me. They did X rays and blood work at the start and would have done a dexa scan too, but since I had just had one and was not willing to pay for another since I doubt insurance would cover they did not do it. It wasn't till the bad shoulder and neck pain problems that were worsening and they sent me to PT for 6 weeks which we extended to 8, that they gave in and did the MRI for both neck and shoulder. Afterward, I got an injection in my shoulder, and that is as far as we have went as I am sticking with supplements and hydroxychloraquine for now. They would do more if I said yes. My decision there. I will have to look at that mobility workout. I know I had found one that was 20 minutes that I did. Most seem to be around 30. I liked her stretches that I have done as well. They are a little more holding the stretch and really good. I always thought that Lupus and Fibromyalgia caused a lot of fatigue and pain all over? I may have a misconception of that though.

Belinda, I liked that CL workout. I have noticed Cathe gives modifications more on her live workouts lately.

Jolie, I am glad you mothers hair came out cute. Great job on the incline treadmill walk. You got a great calorie burn in.

Roselyn, iron legs is a good one. I was sore for awhile after that one.

I did total body stamina (the fundamentals) this morning. This was a circuit of 6 exercises done 3 times. First time, even tempo, second time slow concentric, third time slow eccentric.

I received some of my blood test results back, the arthritis panel came back and looks normal to me. Haven't heard from my doctor but from the numbers I see, it looks good. I'm hoping to get the other two panels back today. I'm hoping those are good as well. I'm not tired or dragging at all during the day, in fact, I seem to have a lot of pent up energy lately. I would think that either Lupus or Fibromyalgia would make you really tired. Not sure, but I would think so.

Anyways, today I walked on my treadmill for about 35 minutes and then I did my isometric exercises for about 10 miinutes. I also foamed rolled under my left arm as it has been hurting there as well. Felt good to do that. Then I iced my triceps.

I was interviewed on the radio today for my spelling bee coming up this evening. LOL! I sounded funny.

Diane - I have a leaky valve as well, I have had it for years. I have to get an echo every three years to make sure it isn't getting worse. This is a problem with my aortic valve, though, it doesn't have anything to do with arthritis. So my arthritis panel looks good, which I sort of find odd since my thumbs hurt and my pointer finger has growth in the knucke. Maybe it's just not bad yet. Anyways, I'm glad your blood pressure was good and it sounds like your appointment was pretty positive. That is a good thing!

Jolie - Great job with your workout yesterday. Glad you enjoyed your moms visit!

Belinda - I will ask for an xray if I don't get answers soon. Or I will go see an athletic doctor and see what they say. I don't want to feel like this all summer long, it is miserable. Great job with your workouts yesterday, they looked fun!

Roselyn - Thank you. Good job with Iron Legs.

Doreen - Great job with your workout!

Have a great day everyone! I have a busy day, I am having one of my events live and in person this evening. First one this year, all the others have been virtual.

Good morning,

SBF D61 Bounce UB w/weights plus Reset Stretch is done. I will go for a walk later this afternoon.

Debbie - I hope you feel better and find an answer soon. Praying your other 2 blood panels come back normal too.

Diane - I am glad Cathe is showing more modifications in her workouts. Hope your doc appointment went well yesterday.

Have a great day and workout everyone.

Quick check in as I have another star testing with my grandson today and an electrician coming. I guess they are trying to see how far up to move him in reading. He reads really well for first grade. I sort of laughed when he did the last one and told the teacher, I read that really fast.
I did CDorner Step and Strength cardio and arms (interval workout from 1 day ago) 49 minutes(47 actual), I wore my Blaze and what a difference. I felt rewarded for all of the sweating and work this time. Wonder if it will stay that way. These things seem to work at the onset then drop off. 247 calories, heart rate 128/171, 3,021 steps.

I also did the stretch Debbie mentioned for neck and shoulder area 18 minutes last night before I went to bed.

Today I went ahead and downloaded my favorite workout from Cathe Live, All In Upper Body, and had a fantastic workout. I will download a few of my Cathe Live favorite workouts, lifting, only the one's that I like instead of subscribing to CL for all of the workouts. I use only a few because all of her cardo workouts are too high impact and the legs workouts are just too brutal for me now days. I think I will download, Vertical Loading workouts, the Upper Body with Ball workouts, and maybe another total body workout. Today I lifted lighter than normal and went at my own pace because Cathe just goes too fast for me. Workout was 50 minutes and I went ahead and added some AB exercises at the end. I burned 388 calories. I also did some stretching for my hamstrings with a band, I think this could be what causes some problems for me. I had to laugh at how stiff I am, I am shocked!!!

Debbie, I am so happy your blood work that came back is good so far. Nice job on the TM today. How are you feeling after the car accident?

Belinda, nice workout today.

Diane Sue, Great news that your grand child is a star reader!!! Great job on the workout today, your heartrate really got up there on this workout.

Roselyn, nice job on the leg workout, I have never done that one.

Doreen, You come up with some great workouts!!! way to go!

Have a wonderful Friday and a better weekend. The rain has moved out but the weather is cold. Next week should get up to 70 degrees, I am ready for Spring weather.

Doreen, does she use weight with that one or is it body weight?

Debbie, I always think my voice is weird sounding when I hear it on a recording. Once I did an interview on TV about a book put in the children's section that I felt should not be there. I felt so weird when I saw it afterward. It was a book that I was in shock when I got to a certain part and had to kind of change the story. This was a lot of years ago as my granddaughter is 21 now and in college almost ready to start teaching. They filmed me reading to her(not that book).
So is their any deformities in your fingers or joints? I have had osteo arthritis for quite a few years before the RA showed up and my joint at the side of my wrists jut out and fingers have knots. They lock up, but collagen and stuff helps prevent that most of the time. I gather that is something that often comes as we age. If you can't get it to improve, maybe make an appointment with a sports specialist doctor or arthritis doctor if insurance will cover it. That is good that the test was showing nothing, although that does not resolve the problem.
I really liked the CDorner 18 minute stretch that I did last night.
I hope the spelling bee goes well. Are your schools open now? Part of ours are opening back up. Oklahoma City is going to do 4 days in class and one day virtual starting next month. Somehow I do not think that that is the plan for the school district my grandson is in.
They want to do a test next year on the heart valve. I go to the pulmonologist next month for another heart ct to make sure the nodule has not changed again. I dread this and the doctor retired and so I have a new one that he set me up with.

Belinda, nice work with the bounce workout today. My doctor visit went well yesterday and he just went over things with me. He said nothing really warrants meds. He said sometimes meds are given when it is not necessary. Made me wonder why he wanted me to try the statin then.

Jolie, nice work with CL upper body. It does seem that a few downloads would be the best idea when you don't want to do the cardio workouts because of impact. Yes, I was surprised somewhat at the read out from the Blaze watch. It looks like we are getting some rain this weekend. Hope it does not rain when we move.

Just letting you all know, my blood tests all came back normal. So I guess it's just a muscle issue. I may make a PT appoint during my spring break to see if they might be able to tell me something.

Debbie - I am so happy to hear your blood test came back normal. I hope you find out soon what's causing your pain.

I just bought JS Lift & Shift.I will do the first workout as soon as I am done drinking my coffee.

Good morning,

JS Lift & Shift Total Body Strength [Compound Supersets] - 50 Minutes is done. My impression on Lift & Shift is, it was very high reps (20 reps on pretty much all the exercises except a few she did 10 reps). The TB strength workout was good nothing new straight forward. I will run through all those workout and see if those workouts are worst the price. You have a 60 day money back guarantee. I will try give you all a detailed review later if I have time. The warm up and cool down are very short. I don't know how I feel about her dog Peanut is in the workouts and she has little pop ups with her dogs sayings ? The music was is better than in her other workouts.

I also did SBF D62 Adv. LB circuit/ LB Band target is done.

Have a great day and workout.

Quick check in and I am back to packing. I did Coffey Fit Raw Hi/Lo Step, 39 minutes, heart rate 141/165, 239 calories, 3,537 steps. I used my Fitbit Blaze again. Better than previous workouts with the Versa 2 which had it at 162 calories, and heart rate 110/153 steps were about the same. I also did CDorner Yoga Flpw stretch that she did with I think her niece Kaitlin. This was good, pretty much regular yoga moves after loosening up and she does some stuff with hands at the end, 38 minutes (actual is shorter as my husband came up talking to me), heart rate 85/121, 47 calories, 124 steps.

Today my husband and I went to the beach trail for a 4.3 mile walk. Time was 1 hour 25 minutes and I burned 922 calories. I think since I walk in some sand on the trail it is much harder than walking on pavement so my calorie burn is higher than when I walk on the street or TM.

Have a wonderful Sunday. I am sore from my CL upper body workout on Friday!!!! Big Time!!!

I'm happy and relieved that my blood tests came back negative and all the other basic numbers are in good if not great ranges. So now I need to figure out what is going on with my left side. My doctor gave me an order for a PT so I'm going to do some research and make an appointment with one soon.

My husband has an inversion table and I used that a couple times this weekend. I have very bad vertigo when using this thing but wanted to give it a try to see if it made me feel better. It did stretch me out and I felt my spine fall back in line. I kept my head over my head and my left shoulder started to hurt a bit. So I don't know if it may be out of alignment or if something more is wrong with it. I felt pretty ok afterwards (except feeling like to puke) so I'm not sure if it is something I should keep doing. I may get on it again after work for a couple of minutes. My tricep still hurts pretty bad, though.

Anyways, today I did CDorner #154 - Non-Stop Cardio Mish Mash and it was really fun. She uses really light weights (2#) with some of this so I grabbed my 1# sand weights. Worked up a good sweat, it wasn't too hard.

Workout was 32 minutes, burned 182 calories, did 2624 steps and HR was 112/146.

I don't have time for personals, but you are all killing it with your workouts! Great job this weekend!

Have a great day!!

I did High Intensity Interval Resistance training Sunday morning and then Upper Body Circuit this morning from LIFT and Shift.

HIIRT - this is a metabolic style workout done circuit style again. I'll try to write moves out later.

Upper Body Circuit is the sister workout to Lower Body Circuit.

Belinda - I honestly don't know yet. It think I've done all the weight workouts in the program now. Every single one of them I liked - but will I keep doing them for a 12 week rotation with my exercise ADD? I think that doing the rotation and really working on growing with the program would produce some results. Everything is controlled movements. I do like that there is no cardio workouts - I can use my favorite Youtube instructors for the cardio and get a JS break. I haven't tried the mobility workouts yet - so we'll see about those!
