Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for June 2023

This morning I did RAW Box & Pump 3, I've only done this one time before and because of my knee, never went back to it. I loved it and wished I could have done the whole thing, it's almost an hour and I didn't start early enough. But I did most of it. Great workout!!

1 minute per exercise but the boxing seemed a lot longer.

Great job with your workouts this weekend, Idon't have time for personals but I read all your posts. Happy Anniversary, Roxie!!

I am so tired today. I ended up having to walk my puppy another 2 miles yesterday afternoon, that was a total of 8.2 miles of walking just for my workout! I am dead tired today and had to get up and walk again, it will never end with this energetic pup. Walk was 1 hour 10 minutes and we traveled 4 miles, he walks so fast I can barely keep up with him :) My calorie burn was 667. I was supposed to lift weights today, but I just dont have it in me. Tomorrow I will try again, but if I have to start off my morning each day with a 4 mile walk, that is a lot of working out if I add in weights too. My husband was supposed to do a lot of the walking with the pup and now he only will do it 1 day a week. That is the only reason why I went a head with getting another dog, so he would get some exercise. Yeah right! He does work a 14 hour work day 6 days per week, but I was hoping he could get some steps in first thing in the morning. He is walking my older dog for me at least, that is a help. The good news is I might get in great shape, at least my legs LOL!

Debbie, great job on the boxing and leg workout today! It is amazing you can do all of those exercises already!

Roxie, happy anniversary!

Diane Sue, I hope you have a great Ladies Day tomorrow.

Cam, that was nice of you to do all of your mother's errands yesterday. Wow on the lady that is 101! My dad just turned 90 and is killing it! He works full time as a Commodities Broker and makes a great living still. He is very intelligent, and he mind is still so sharp, same with my mom who is 87. I hope you have a nice workout today.

Roselyn, nice job on the workout.

I hope you all have a great day. So overcast and dreary here, when is summer ever coming!

Debbie, didn't Kelly do another Raw workout with weights and a tall bench? I figured I would go back and check some of those workouts that use weights after I am done with the 8 weeks I am doing with STS 2.0. Then will work out maybe doing more STS 2.0. I have already been through all but chest on the final phase which lasts 4 weeks but will still do 4 weeks. As long as I don't feel it is too much for me.
Nice work with Box and Pump 3 today. I am glad your leg is recovering nicely.

Jolie, I would be tired too with all of that have to do dog walking. You get a lot of steps and calories in. Some day you will look back on it and think you really was in great shape back then from all of that walking. I am sure you would like your dog to have a little less energy right now though. I wish my dog wanted to get up and play more. After several favorite toy chases she drops it and refuses to play anymore and lies down. She is getting old and grey.

Belinda, nice work on Total Body Tri-sets STS today. I am trying to figure out how I will do the next phase. Maybe two of them this week and start the next week with the second set of two workouts.

Jolie- that's why I taught my dog to run next to my bike. Its a lot easier for me to coast around on my bike when I don't feel like walking the dog but he needs exercise. I go really slow so its the dog's walking/easy jogging pace and we stop alot whenever he wants to sniff or needs a break.

This weekend I did a ride on my road bike Saturday since all the trails are muddy from all the rain. Sunday we went to the resiviour and did some kayaking. This morning I did three trisets from STS 2.0 Total body Trisets. (legs, chest and back). The workouts are longer than I've been doing so I'll have to build up to them or split them up.

Belinda - bummer I missed the Paul K sale too- $15 would be great for that set even though there would be no way I do all the jumping now. Maybe on the next sale I'll have to remember to get it. I received my Addiction DVDs and ripped them to digital on my media server.

This morning I did Tracy 35 min LUCA. I like this format. 3 circuits consisting of a lower body strength, upper body strength, a cardio and an ab exercise. 45/15 2x.

Doreen, if I biked with my dog, I would end up flying across the road. She can't walk in a straight line. Very annoying.

Jolie, can your husband walk the dog to give you a break?

Good workouts everyone!

This morning I did RAW 4-Day Split Bi's & Tri's. Had a great workout although I had a bad optical migraine happen right before I began. I get these about 4 times a year and they really mess up my sight for a while and then I get hit with a bad migraine. I immediately took two Tylenol and although I probably shouldn't have, I worked out anyways. Sick of getting side-lined all the time. I ended up having a good workout.

1 minute each exercises

Biceps
Supinated Curls
: 15's
W Curl to Rotate to Front: 12's
Hammer Curls: 12's (slow 4 counts up and down)
Bicep burnout w/Tube - (I used 5's to do this, I'm not using tubing anymore.)
Repeat

Triceps
Overhead Triceps Extensions:
15#
Kickbacks: 8's
Dips - I did Lying Triceps Ext. using 10's
Kickbacks w/Tubing - (I used 5's again, no tubing)
Repeat

Workout was 28 minutes, burned 197 calories and HR was 117/149.

And again, even though I shouldn't have, I did RAW Cardio Finisher. I really liked this workout, it was only about 10 minutes. Kelly does an Alternate Snatch move which I used a 12# dumbbell for and then the rest was Skaters, Jogging, and Hoop Jumps. She repeated this 3 times and then added in some boxing. Got my HR up pretty good. Fun stuff!!

This was 14 minutes, burned 121 calories, HR was 134/154/ I did 1743 total steps with both workouts.

Did you all hear Treat Williams passed away on his motorcycle? He hit a car that turned in front of him, he was 71. I am so sad. I just watched all the Everwood episodes not too long ago, I loved that series, and he was such a great actor. RIP Treat.

Jolie - You sure are doing a lot of walking!! You should put your puppy on your treadmill. LOL!! I am so happy that my knee has healed so fast and well. Now my right knee hurts. Can't win!!!

Belinda - Great job with STS yesterday! I'm jealous that you all have this series, I should have gotten it. :( Hope you are feeling better these days.

Diane - I don't blame you for not doing cardio after that workout yesterday, that trisets looks tough and good. I think Kelly did a new Box and Pump but it's not called Box and Pump. I forgot the name of it. She posted it not too long ago. I will probably check it out next week.

Doreen, Roselyn and Cam - Great job on your workouts!!

Roxie - How was your anniversary weekend? I hope you and your husband had fun!

Have a great day everyone!

Regarding my puppy, I do run him along with me on the cruiser bike and that is a great way to burn some energy as well as walking him. I usually do it in the afternoon, so he is calmer at nighttime, otherwise he wants to torment my senior dog who wants nothing to do with him at that time of the day LOL! I got my husband to walk him today so I could get a weight workout in, and I am very happy about it! Today I did Cathe Live All In Upper Body and had had an excellent even though I lifter lighter weights than usual. Workout was 50 minutes and I burned 373 calories. I got on the rowing machine at the end and did that for about 5 minutes and it felt great, I love that machine, it really works the total body in a non-impact fashion.

I had my son switch out my mattress on my bed with my son's mattress, he is away to college and not using it at the moment and it was so much better for my body! My bed is too hard, and I think that is causing all of my pain issues, I cannot handle it that firm now at this age. I am going out today shopping for a new softer but supportive mattress and I cannot wait to get a new one! Amazing how much better I felt when I woke up this morning.

Debbie, great job getting in a workout even though your migraine was coming on right before you started.

Doreen, great job on the STS workout, I know her older STS workouts were long too, I used to break them up so I would have time to walk on the TM too.

Cam, great job on the workout yesterday.

Roselyn, how do you like the new STS workouts?

Belinda, have fun with your daughter and enjoy your dinner.

Diane Sue, nice job on the workout yesterday. My senior dog is exactly the same way when it comes to playing, he wants no part of it but he is 16 years young. He does play with the puppy some times and it is really great to see him run around and enjoy himself.

Make it a great day. The sun might actually come out today in the afternoon after the high clouds burn off and I am so excited!

Tonight I did Michelle's 50 min. Full Body RIP. My arms are rubbery. It was broken down by muscle groups and each was worked for 5 min with varying rep patterns. That was tough. Such a great muscle burner and the music was good too. I am seriously thinking of doing her paid subscription. It only $4.99/mo. She has a lot of longer weight workouts. Plus it's through YT, so no special set up.

Jolie, glad you got a break from walking the dog. A good mattress really can make a difference in your sleep and less aches and pains. Good workout w/ Cathe Live.

Debbie, I liked Treat Williams. How sad. Glad you were able to work through the migraine. Good workout w/Kelly.

Today was a rest day. I did not get much sleep as I tried to have everything set up for my ladies group before bed and I had to get up early and woke up well before my alarm to get put together before our new nightstands were delivered. We have a dresser coming next week.
I am on the fence as whether to do Lower Body 1 starting tomorrow and following with Upper Body 1, or take a day for cardio before. I moved my calendar around a bit.

Roselyn, nice work on Upper Body 1.

Doreen, I think in the future I will probably try some of the premixes. I was looking over the bonus moves on the body parts workouts too. These are long workout. Upper and Lower are also long.

Cam, mice work on the Tracy Luca workout. I do not walk my dog all that much, but when I do it takes a while to get her to stay on one side of me. We have a neighborhood full of dog walkers. I doubt she would cooperate much at all.

Debbie, I hope you keep the migraine away. I used to get them a lot and had medicine for them and then after menopause they seemed to all leave. It is hard to function like that. Great job on the workout today. I am afraid of snatches. I usually stop at a high pull and go light. That one does get the heart rate up pretty good in a short time. Kelly has a couple of the workouts that I would like to do if I were not doing STS 2.0. I think even the cardio with weights would be too much on my recovery days. That is sad about Treat Williams. I had not heard about that.

Jolie, Nice work with Cathe Live All In Upper Body Workout today. When the dog I have now was a pup she was relentless with my older dog. She would chase her up one set of stairs and come back down the other set of stairs in circles through the house till our older dog was exhausted. I finally closed a door upstairs and put up a pet gate to the bottom of the other set so the older dog could have a break. Later it got where the older dog would play till, she was tired, and the pup would leave her alone. I let her hang with the guests today, so she laid under the table snoring.

My bi's and tri's are very sore this morning from yesterday's workout which is cool! This morning I did RAW 1 Body Part - Chest and had a great workout. I was going to do the 4DS one but I don't care for the chest exercises she does in that workout. It's all standing stuff and it irritates my upper back. I like this one, it's tough. This is 4 sets of 10 reps and you do it circuit fashion.

Incline Flies: 12's
Flat Connected Press: 15's
Flat Bench Press: 15's
Did 4 sets/10 reps

Finisher:
Close Grip Press/Chest Flies/Pullovers: 10's - 10 reps (I did chest presses instead of the pullover action)

I then did RAW Boxing Finisher w/Sammie and used my 1.5# egg weights. Great little workout that is.

Total workout was 43 minutes, burned 350 calories, did 1500 steps and HR was 131/172. Weird calorie and numbers were even numbers. LOL!

Jolie - Great job on your weight work yesterday!! I remember that workout and I loved it too. I sort of miss Cathe Live. I am the opposite of you, my bed needs to be hard as a rock. If I sink, my back kills me. I have an extra heavy memory foam mattress right now and love it. Hope you find a good one for your body! We are all so different and need different things. I hate shopping for mattresses though!

Cam - Great job on your workout! That sounds like a great workout!! I might check out her workouts as well, $4.99 a month isn't bad.

Belinda - Hope you had fun, I'm sure you did! Great job with your barre workout. That is one type of workout I never got into, not sure why?

Diane - Hope you had fun at your ladies group. The migraine is gone and I feel great today. I hate when that happens, the headache lasted all day. I've had these optical migraines forever but they only happen a few times a year. So weird. Kelly's new workout is Intervals #6. I previewed a little of it this morning while I stretched and it looks good. I might do it next week.

Have a great day everyone!!!

I did Trisets Total body timesaver 2 premix today which is Tri, shoulders, bis, and Legs. I think splitting this one up into 2 workouts works pretty well, one split is more legs focused and one split is more upper body focused.

Today's workout consisted of a 1 hour 11-minute dog walk through the hills, traveled 4 miles and burned 706 calories. I swear, this pup pulls me the entire time, just about dragging me along, he has so much energy. Keep in mind, I am 5 feet 10 inches tall with long legs so I traveled quickly as I walk, imagine how much energy he burns pulling me for 4 miles. Now, as I am typing this post, he is hauling ass around the house full speed, totally enjoying himself. Hopefully, he lays down and rests for the remainder of the morning. :)

Debbie, great job with the workout today and it is great that you have DOMS from yesterday's workout. I have the hardest bed now with a memory foam mattress topper that is 3 inches thick. It is hot for me to sleep on, is your bed hot? I am thinking about getting a hybrid mattress, coils with memory foam but I am worried about getting too hot. The good news is, at Mattress Firm, you have a 120 days to see if you like the mattress, otherwise you can trade it in for a new one but with a 10% restocking fee. Are you out of school now and on summer break?

Diane Sue, I hope you enjoyed ladies day and your rest day. My puppy has so much energy, I actually like it because it gets me up and moving more often than before I got him.

Doreen, great job on the workout this morning.

Belinda, nice job getting in a workout last night when you got home.

I just did a whole long post and now it is gone, just a blank space. I walked today for 1 hour 10 minutes and burned 706 calories. I am not going to type out the whole post again. Darn it!

Jolie - Your total workout post posted. I can see it. No, tomorrow is my last day and I only work 1/2 day. My boss is taking me to lunch and then I can go home. YIPPEEEE!!! That is one thing about the memory foam mattress, it is hot. But I love it. LOL!!
