Today I feel a little under the weather, tired and I just do not have much energy. Hopefully I am not getting the sickness that my son had last week for a few days. I managed a short workout on the TM, 40 minutes uphill, 5.0 incline the highest I went and walked 2 miles. I burned 357 calories and I feel very tired now. I feel like I may have a low-grade fever, but it is very humid here so that maybe it too.

Belinda, great job on the Cathe workout today. I signed up for Cathe Live month to month, I will see how long I can go till I cancel. I am enjoying the workouts again, but my favorites are the ones at the very beginning, from six years ago. Are you going to sign up again? Since it is only $10 per month I thought what the heck!

Roselyn, great job with the Fuel workout!

BBL to read the posts for the day.

This morning I did KCM's Cardio Pump workout #1 which is a kickboxing workout. So fun, I used to do this one a lot back when I first started doing Kelly's workouts. I think this is the first DVD I purchased from her. Great workout, I was able to do the high intensity moves as well, not that there were a lot of them, but still. My knee has been doing pretty good lately.

Workout was 34 minutes, burned 282 calories, did 3737 steps and HR was 135/165.

I also did some knee PT exercises.

Belinda - I love Kiki's receipes, I hope she does a new cookbook someday soon. I bought stuff to make those eggrolls, I love those things!!

Jolie- I hope you're feeling better today. Hopefully it was nothing too serious. Great job getting a walk in though!

Cam - Good job with your workout!

Hi to everyone else! Hope you all have kick butt workouts today!

It is supposed to be 100 degrees tomorrow. How is that possible in June here? OMG. Same with Thursday. We had thunderstorms and high winds go through last night, luckily we didn't get much other than rain. We are lucky, we seem to be in a black hole when it comes to bad weather. Knock on wood, we hardly get any.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning,

GS back, shoulder and biceps is done.

Debbie - I made the burrito bowl last night. So good and quick. I started cooking extra brown rice so later. I freeze it for later. I made a different cheese sauce from Vegan mama. You don’t have too cook potatoes or carrots. Next time I will leave the maple syrup out. I used cashew power.

Jolie - I probably will sign up for CL in a few months. I am having a lot of fun with my DVDs. Hope you feel better soon. BBL

Today I did Caroline Fuel Giant Leg Day. Wow! 30 minutes of tough. I thought it would be a lighter workout. Ha! Not so. I liked it but glad when it was over. My legs are feeling it.

Good workouts ladies! Really unbearably hot here today and tomorrow. Unfortunately, no walks.

I have been busy. No workouts over the weekend. Saturday we walked all over an amusement park with my grandson. Yesterday I did Walk Strong Step and and stride from Burn Fat and Have Fun, 30 minutes, heart rate 129/154, 3,607 steps, 164 calories. I then did some strength work doing Ice Muscle Meltdaown Biceps and PT exercises, 40 minutes, heart rate 88/117, 106 calories, 160 steps. This was 70 minutes Total time, 270 calories, 3,767 steps. I used 8 and 10# dumbbells for biceps. Today I did not do a work out. I had terrible neck pain and headache. Hardly had any sleep as my grandson wanted to play Oklahoma Monopoly. It was late when we finally stopped and went to bed. We finished it this afternoon. I got up planning on going to my ladies group day as we were going to do card making. I just couldn't get going. Also, my dog was sick and came to get me up at 1 am. I had only been asleep an hour. Then I laid awake worrying about her being sick and also I left the back door open so she could get out the doggie door. Hopefully I can get something in tomorrow. I would like to get some legs in.

This morning I did Kelly's Power Splits Upper Body workout. I like this workout, it would be awesome if she did two exercises per body part but then it would be an hour. I want to do the legs workout and hopefully soon I can.

3 sets of 50 seconds on/10 seconds off (although I rested a bit longer between exercises)

Incline Chest Press: 20's
Incline Triceps Extension: 12's
Incline Alternate Row: 15's
Shoulder Press: 12's
Hammer Curls: 15's

Kickboxing Finisher - Used 2# dumbbells

Workout was 43 minutes, burned 349 calories, did 1814 steps and HR was 129/174. Good workout.

This is my LAST DAY OF WORK until Aug. 5!!! I have a lot to do so the day will fly by. I actually could use the rest of the week to get some stuff done but I guess it can wait until I get back. The beginning of the school year is usually slow for me.

Belinda - I do the same with rice, I make a big batch and then freeze it. My only problem is, I forget its there!! LOL! I tried the cheese sauce from Vegan Mama and it's not that great. I like Kiki's better. I think when making Kiki's it's the type of potato that makes the difference. Great job with GS Back, Shoulders and Biceps. Love that series.

Diane - You've been busy, I was wondering where you were. Sorry about your neck again, maybe you are doing too much with workouts? Or it could be just the computer thing, I know that is a lot of my neck and upper back pain. Can't wait to get away from this desk for 6 weeks!! But then I come back and it starts all over again. I may hunt for a new office chair and see if that would help. Seems it's my posture, though, not the chair. I can't seem to fix that issue. :(

Doreen & Cam - Nice workouts yesterday!!!

It is supposed to be 108 with the heat index here. That is UNHEARD of. In the 55 years that I have lived in Ohio, I have never witnessed that kind of heat before. It will last two days and then go back to the 70's. Crazy.

Have a great day everyone!

Today I had a fantastic workout, I pulled out Cathe's STS Meso 2 Disc #13, Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. I was in the mood for something slower and this did the job, my muscles feel amazing! I miss these slow and controlled workouts with some rest periods in between sets instead of the hurry up workouts to cram in as many exercises as possible in the time period allotted. Workout was 56 minutes and I burned 372 calories. I lifted heavy and I am happy that I have my strength still after not lifting heavy for a while. Keep in mind, I am not lifting as heavy as I was a few years back due to my back issue but heavy enough to get some gains. I am feeling so much better today, yesterday I was so exhausted and good barely do anything and today I feel great!

Debbie, congrats on your last day of school!!!!!!!! Great job on the workout today and the kickboxing workout on Tuesday. "Schools out for the Summer!"

Doreen, great job on riding your bike to work!

Diane Sue, I hope you got in a great night's sleep last night and your dog is feeling better.

Cam, way to go on the leg workout, I would not be able to walk for a while if I did that workout right now.

Belinda, Way to go on the Gym Style workout, those are great workouts! I love Cathe's older workouts so much more than the newer ones that go too fast and have too many compound moves.

Roselyn, I hope you have a great workout today.

Make it a great day. It is cool and sunny today, a great day to work outside on my yard, we are having my parents come for Father's Day so I have to clean the place up!

Hi,

I had an appointment with my rheumatologist this morning. My chest CT scan and pulmonary function test (for lower air way) both look good. I am very happy about it. My ear is still flaring up. He will change my meds. Hopefully that will do the trick. I need a break.

I did LB Blast today. I had to modify.

Debbie - I think Kiki's cheese sauce is the best I have tried too. I tried the FOK's oat one, I didn't like it. What potatoes are you using? Great job on your workout. Congrats on your last day off school!!!

Diane - I hope you get a good night sleep. Prayers your dog feels better.

Jolie - I do like the slower pace better. Great job on your STS workout. I love those workouts. Enjoy your time with your parents.

Waving Hi to the rest of the group. I am tired.

See you all tomorrow.

Today I did CDorner Step Aerobics/Cardio Kickboxing/stretch (20/20/20) 61 minutes, 254 calories, heart rate 115/160, 5,039 steps. I also did CDorner Lower Body Workout At home legs with bands, 39 minutes, 98 calories, heart rate 91/130, 866 steps. This used the fabric bands and band work was the first half then it went to body only work, but still burned. Total time was 1 hour 40 minutes, 352 calories, 5,905 steps. This weekend will be busy so workouts are not likely. We are having a family father's day and May and June birthday celebration since May we had the wedding stuff. I am having a nice time with my grandson.
My dog is still not feeling real well, but I think this evening she is getting better.

Debbie, nice workout today. I bet you are happy it is your last day. I know the computer can aggravate my neck, but I am sure it is the arthritis as well. I can set it off, just looking down for a few minutes. Carrying a crossbody bag around the amusement park aggravated it. The computer sets off the traps and makes my neck problems worse though.

Doreen, it is nice that you can ride your bike to work and get your workout in at the same time.

Jolie, I am glad you are feeling better and had the energy for a great workout today. I did get more sleep last night.

Belinda, I am glad that your CT and pulmonary scan look good. Praying they can get the ear to stop flaring up. You really do deserve a break. Nice work on Lower Body Blast today.

Roselyn, good job on Fuel hamstrings and glutes.

This morning I did KCM's Super Sculpt workout 3 and loved it. It was band work for the lower body (lots of firewalkers) and then a boxing segment where I used 2# dumbbells. She did that sequence two times through. Then it went to using the step with heavy dumbbells to do step ups so I decided to stop there. Then I did RAW Ab Circuits and had a great ab workout. I like that one, it goes by fast and it's intense. It's nice not rushing through my workouts. I took time and did about 15 minutes of stretching on my own as well.

Both workouts were 46 minutes, burned 387 calories, did 2577 steps and HR was 135/176.

We have a sparrow that has been chirping non-stop for about two weeks now. My doors and windows are closed because it's so hot out and I still hear the damn thing. It is driving me crazy.

Doreen - Riding your bike to work IS a workout! Nice job!

Jolie - Nice workout yesterday. Isn't Cathe coming out with a new STS or did I dream that? Wish my dad was still around, my dh's too. We lost them both. :(

Belinda - I usually use Russet's, those have a good flavor. Vegan Mama is always bragging about her cheese sauce and honestly, it isn't that good. I know you agree since you tried it. I can't find a recipe that beats Kiki's. She is a great cook. I'm so happy to hear your scans were good! That is great news.

Roselyn - Nice job with the Fuel workout yesterday!

Diane - That arthritis is horrible. One of my cousins has it bad and they finally found meds that are making her feel good, she gets it through her veins in drip form. She went once, then went a week later, then two weeks later, then four and now she only has to go every 6-8 weeks to have it done. She said it's a miracle. I don't know what it was but she ended up going to a new doctor and this is what she prescribed. If you want me to ask her what it is, let me know.

Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning,

Gym Style Chest & Triceps is done.

Diane - it's the same medicine (MTX) I take now. Instead of tablets I have to inject it. With the injections you get the full dose of the medicine. With the tablets my body isn't absorbing the entire doses. I hope this makes sense. So people with RP have to try different meds that works. There are no medications approved for RP, we use meds approved for other diseases. My noise is worst than my ear. I already show signs in my noise/ear from this disease. I hope the injections will work too. I am happy my scans came back normal.

Debbie - I will try the russet potato next time. Vegan Mama cheese sause was too sweet for me. I agree, Kiki is a good cook. I love that I don't spent hours in the kitchen. Simple and good. Thank you about the scans. I am so relieved. If RP attacks my lower airway and heart/lungs, I am screwed. The meds only slows down the disease.

Have a great day.

Today was Michelle Briehler 30 min Cardio Kickboxing + Perfect 30 Upper Body. I really like her kickboxing style. Also took a 2 mile walk tonight with my dog. Beautiful evening!

Good workouts everyone!
