No workout today. It took me an hour and 10 minutes to get to my arthritis doctor and the wait was so long. Parking was difficult as they had so many people there. It is annoying that they have two bathrooms each for one person all genders and one is by the pharmacy and one the other waiting area. I made sure not to drink any water this morning and still needed to use it because the wait was an hour and I still had the drive back home
I hate public bathrooms anyway, but that is crazy since they have their infusion area, labs, radiology where they do mri, x-rays etc.. Convenient except the bathrooms. People come from out of tow to use this center. Anyway, he thinks the way my right shoulder moves and the pain areas that it may be a rotator cuff issue. We agreed I would wait and see how the steroid injection goes and I go back in 3 months
(usually 6 months) because he may want to do another mri, since it has been 2 years, so he can see what is going on. I told him that hurt and I was not wanting to do. I never had an mri hurt till I got the neck and shoulder ones done before. The angle for that length of time with no movement was terribly painful. Also the drive back from thee would be that much more unpleasant.
I don't know why, but my blood pressure and all of that has been really in a good area at the pulmonolgist and the arthritis center. Usually it goes up just because of stress. Maybe eating even more veggie dishes has helped. I definitely have not lowered caffeine as I looked up the Chameleon cold brew caffeine stats and using that and my hot cup of strong coffee in the morning along with kombucha tea is quite a bit.
I have been losing sleep with this stupid shoulder and arm. No comfortable position. The doctor wanted to know if it was because I was lying on it and I told him not. Even lying on my back with arms straight down is painful. My elbow hurts as well. Driving is miserable and I use my left arm to get things out of my cabinets when I have to reach up. So something is definitely not right. Also I need to put on some weight somehow. I was 108 this morning and feel I look silly in my sleeveless clothes.
Oh, and yesterday I did a few minutes of CDorner No Jumping Cardio Sweatfest low impact, 25 minutes, heart rate 139/181, 135 calories, 2,408 steps.
Okay I am done with the negativity, positive on the the blood pressure, and another thought hit me when I was feeling annoyed with all of the big trucks, then thought that is probably a good thing because maybe our products are finally hitting the stores.
Debbie, I think that manual labor feels good and you get the satisfaction of seeing the finished product. I like yard work except for the allergies. My neck has been somewhat better lately for the most part. I have been working on those crazy traps and doing CDorners hips and upper body foam roller workout(mostly the upper which takes around 15 minutes) along with her upper stretching and my usual PT and it is really helping relieve the neck because those swollen places and knots are not so bad on the trap area. I also got back out my keyboard to use instead of typing on my elevated laptop and that takes some of the stress off the neck and shoulders. I was using the keyboard in one of the workout rooms with the all in one computer and moved it back. I just need to get myself another keyboard.
Jolie, nice work on the walk yesterday and the calorie burn. I prefer sleeping on my side, but it really bothers my neck and shoulders. I wake up in more pain. I adjust with pillows, but it is just leaves me in more pain most of the time. Usually it wakes me up not long after I unintentionally end up on my side. I think my problem is the arthritis. A lot of those optional treatments are not covered by insurance as far as I know. Insurance companies tend to expect the cheaper alternative first before paying for other procedures. They did dry needling in PT on me, but I did not notice any relief. I remember Dr Axe talking about prolotherapy and stem cells.
Belinda, I am sorry the results are like that. They have not done a dexa scan on me in quite a few years. The last mri showed C5,C6,and C7 forminal stenosis, narrowing hypertrophy. Some other prognosis stuff is on my medical list. So many names and I have read everything I can on all of it. Afraid of an epidural in my neck after watching a video and reading what side effects could happen. My heart and prayers go out for you daily. I kept worrying about all of the pulling and twisting the PT did on my neck and head, that something bad was going to happen. It didn't though as far as I know. I think that you must have a pretty good PT from the sounds of it. I keep thinking maybe I should be looking for rheumatologist nearer to me. I did a search on my cell while waiting and there is not much this way for specialists. An hour drive is long for me and now family is all nearer where I need to go than I am and would be a lot to ask for help. My husband sleeps during the day for work so I try to leave him out of it. I have two nerve things running down arms, but the left is different and is mostly across the shoulder and along the back of my neck and tends to sting and crawl. Relieved by pressing my shoulders back and down. Right is from the front of the shoulder, some in the neck and down across the elbow, forearm, and wrist and my hand sometimes gets some tingling sensation. Really unpleasant.
