meso cycle 2 is sooo tough. and i just did the first workout today. i can really tell the difference in the weights. you wouldn't think that just 5-10% would make that much difference. wow, what a fabulous workout. can't wait to do the others,
well, actually, i probably can. LOL! my 1rm was right on except for kickbacks, my worksheet had 13# and i had to go down to 12.

Whoa! I'm excited & scared at the same time! :) I had been wondering what Meso 2 would be like--be a couple of more weeks before I'm done with Meso 1 & have the rest week. I'm eager to hear more as you continue into Meso 2!
 
now I know why there was a weeklong rest week!!

I was going to start a string on this today, but you beat me to it ;-) TOTALLY agree! My arms are STILL on fire an hour or so later! I LOVE this meso so far, and think it will really start making marked differences in my weights and my tone.

...now I know why we have the active recovery week in between...that was killer! Great job Cathe!!
 
It's funny because Cathe wrote in the STs guide that meso1 week 1 is easy :eek:. I was looking over the workout and it doesn't seem easy to me. Meso2 week 2 is going to kill me.

I just finished disc 14 and I am not sure if I have legs left. Yep, there still there, just can't feel them. Oh I know I'm going to feel them in the next day or 2. I didn't know whether to cry or die.

i am gonna do the legs today, so guess i'm in for pain.

and yes, meso 1 does seem easy now, compared to meso 2. and i've only done the first one. LOL! so get ready! it is fun though. but TOUGH!

and in answer to the thread about no pushups on this mesocycle. it is because we would break our nose trying to do pushups after all those drop sets. LOL!

I agree

I completely agree about Meso 2. WOW is it tough!! I've done discs 13 and 14. I still have DOMS in my chest 3 days after disc 13 and I did 14 yesterday, but I'm super sore today (in a good way though)! I'm glad for the 1RM thought or else I'd wimp out and use lighter weight. STS is showing me that I'm stronger than I thought, but also that I can be sore in muscles I wasn't sure existed!! Can't wait for more.....

WOW!!!! get ready girls, disc 14 is KILLER TOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't think i want to do meso 3. LOL! well, i may die in meso 2, so i might not have to worry about it.:)

How are you all doing the benchpresses in Meso 2? Are you using a bench rack? I live in an apartment and don't have the space. And I'm perplexed as to how I'm going to go heavier in Meso 2 without one.:confused: How are others doing this?
 
AWESOME EVERYONE!!!!

I was waiting to hear what the reaction would be to those who have started Meso #2. This is the first I have seen on it and it appears you have gotten the right "shock value" from the mesocycle....:D

....and Meso #3 will bite you yet again. Especially Back and Chest :eek:

i am not using a bench rack yet, and i don't have one anyway, but i may have to do something when i go heavier. guess i'll have to arrange my workouts for when my husband is home.

Yep, me too, my upper body is still fired up! I am scared of the leg disc.

I really should have enjoyed more of a rest too.

How are you all doing the benchpresses in Meso 2? Are you using a bench rack? I live in an apartment and don't have the space. And I'm perplexed as to how I'm going to go heavier in Meso 2 without one.:confused: How are others doing this?

I seriously am getting some great use out of my smith machine....I am very happy to have it. I wish I had a good suggestion for you.... do you have a friend who can help you??

Y'all got me shakin' in my sneakers! I start Meso 2 tonight. I don't wanna die!:p:p:p I'm too young!!! I printed my workout card yesterday, and like I said in the Fit Chicks check in, the exercises don't look that hard when seen individually but the whole thing together looks like a doozy! Then I have weights and plates abs tonight as well.

Cathe, could you please call my house about 7:30 tonight and make sure I am still alive? Or call some handsome paramedics to scoop me off the floor?:p:p:p

I am in MAJOR meso 2 pain today and it's getting worse by the minute - my arms are so sore, I had a hard time blowdrying my hair today! LOL. It is so worth it though, what a HUGE difference from meso 1. Don't get me wrong - meso 1 was tough but meso 2? Um hello?! Cathe - you are brutal but I LOVE It! Gearing up for disc 14 tomorrow, my legs are going to be screaming...
 
There's got to be a better way to get a strong and defined upper body, if someone knows, please let me know because I don't want to lift another barbell, another dumbbell after today.

OMG! My arms are still shaking (someone is typing for me). I managed to do all the moves with the weight on my card except shoulder - I alternated between 20lb and 15 lbs.

The TF sections on the triceps - mean, I almost dropped my barbell on my fore head, but I managed to get it back up.

I am just so happy that I did'nt have to do push ups.
