Getting Our Licks In!

Okay i decided to do intensity dvd the step + bootcamp.. Now i remember y i didnt do it when i got it .. I remember getting 15 min into it and stoped. This time i kept going.. Am i nuts or is that a hard dvd? My heart i could feel felt like it was skopping so i made my moves lower and my HRM said i was still in 160 whoo.. It was fun however! Really nice mix ok of music not boring at all. I previewed the one i said i was gonna do the hiit bootcamp one and thought well i dont think i can do that. Thinking the step + bootcamp was easier but geez i started thinking maybe i clicked wrong premix or something. It sure felt like hiit. Well in the end i burned 422 cal in 49 minutes! Yah ill take it!
 
Walked the beach with Rolly for about 45 min. During the middle of the walk I got into some unstable sand and sunk in up to my ankles and was stuck for awhile. Never happened to me before. It was scary, makes me think there are more unstable sand elsewhere just ready to cobble us up. I think I will walk around the neighborhood the next time around.:confused: Who knew the beach could be dangerous to walk after storms.

ReneeP, Great job on that hard DVD Intensity step and bootcamp. You did good and proud of you that you were able to continue with it. Modifying is key. That was a good calorie burn.

Today i did high reps total body. I liked it. The last time i did high reps was UB this time it was tB .. So anyway i used very lightt weights. Very very light barbell so light im embarressed to say so i wont lol. But i did it i felt it in the muscle and didnt hurt my knees so im happy about that. That is what matters.

Joey, Rolly and I walked the beach and fed staled bread and crackers to a lone seagal. It was fun.

ReneeP, Great job on HRTB. That is what you do when you do High Reps. You are doing very well.

Hi everyone. I was visiting my parents and sisters for the past few days and just didn't get to post. Been keeping up with my workouts. Here they are just to catch myself up for the past few days: Dec 26 was Powerhour, Dec 27 was 4DS High Intensity step only premix, Dec 28 was YogaMax, Dec 29 was Low Impact Circuit step timesave; Dec 30 was a break day. And after I post today, I am going to do Slow and Heavy Chest and Back. I have not received XTRAIN yet. Maybe it will be in my mailbox today.

Janie: Sounds like you landed in a little sink hole on the beach. Bet that was scarey.

ReneeP: I understand what you are saying about posting on the forums outside of our checkin group. I have seen some people go nuts on various topics and I just shy away from anything that seems controversial. By the same token, sometimes a post that seems pretty straightforward and noncontroversial will evoke some rude responses. It is strange, but cyberspace mimics real life. I know that SNM does monitor members' behavior on the forums and will caution folks to behave and at times will eject someone for getting repeatedly out of hand. Hopefully our checkin remains your safe haven.

Okay gang, Ripken says his mommy has done enough stalling and it is time for her to go get her licks in and work out. If I do not make it back later today, stay safe on this new year's eve and have a Happy New Year.

GUESS WHAT? I got MY XTRIAN! I am reading the book now! Wow lots of intresting stuff! Not sure what im gonna do yet. Wish me luck!
Michelle i have missed you! Yah i know u can get kicked off here so thats why i try not to say anything back. I am so used to rudeness that i expect it sure... But its like, i use to b so mousy and never took up for myself. I have lost my calmness now a days..no time for nastyness in real life, now i tell them they are rude and im not nice anymore. But it is hard here because i could, say so much and snap people back in there place, or laugh at them for being idiots.
But i know i do not want to come off as childish or a trouble maker or get kicked off. Im none of those things. I have been told im to nice and im trying to change that . So i think ill stop talking anywhere else. Lol.

I am watching my mailbox today. It is 4pm and the mail carrier hasn't come yet. Hoping that XTRAIN will arrive today, but if not today, there is always Wednesday (after the new year holiday). It will get here soon enough. In the mean time, I am doing the Slow and Heavy workouts this week for my weight workouts. Chest and Back today--nice and slow and heavy. I am sure I will be feeling my chest muscles tomorrow. Goodness.

ReneeP: glad to hear that you got your XTRAIN today. I am sure that Janie and I will be getting our packages any day now. Enjoy looking through the workout guide and let us know how it looks to you.

Omg information... The guide touches on the concept of clean eating talks about the science behind xtrain, it has a plce to put the weights u use for each workout.
I did hard strikes i had my gloves.. It was so fun i really think it is funner then kpc . I know that one is kickbox mostly but tjis is fun fun. The cardio starts with bob a weave then goes into all kinds of punching and jumping to get your hr up. The muisic is wonderful, after cardio there is shoulders, and balance weight combanation, some bis. It is a fun wo. Really. Cant wait,to do that one again!

Rolly, Joey and I walked the beach for about 30 or more min. Sunny day today, it was so pretty outside with the ocean. Wow. Got back home to Shelton and found XTrain. Will start the 30 day cardio with strength combo, tomorrow. May or may not finish the rotation, there are still so many DVD's to do. We'll see. Wish me luck on my Tennis Elbow.

Michelle, You must have gotton your XTrain by now. We came home from the beach house today and I got XTrain. Yea! Great job on Slow and Heavy, chest and back.

ReneeP, Sounds like you are enjoying XTrain. I sure did some reading viewing today and tomorrow will start a rotation. Yea! Great job on Hard STrikes. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Shoulders and chest fun wo nothing was over n over. Seemed like light weight but it gets u good music was insturmental in this one but it still worked well, hey i know i heard a rod stewart song during warm up not sure but it got me motivated, Sounded like "do ya thank im sexy" lol
 
I got my XTRAIN on Monday, Dec 31. Haven't done any of the workouts yet. I got started with Slow and Heavy and Crossfire this week, so I want to get through the week before I jump into the new stuff. First day back at work after being off for almost two weeks. It was a struggle getting up this morning. I only had time to do S&H Legs; I'll do the shoulder workout tomorrow and maybe add in a core--maybe the bonus core from Crossfire, since that represents my cardio options for this week. Sister tried the Hard Strikes workout yesterday. She said it was hard to keep up with Cathe--apparently some of the moves are pretty fast. Wouldn't be any fun if it wasn't a challenge!

All of a sudden Grandma will be baby sitting one of my grandson's. We intercommunicated and it's tonight instead of this weekend. I'll be having him around for a few nights. Exercises will have to be postponed. I can start them on Mon. I am watching what I eat, so that's good. Had to fillings today without any pain shots. It its so cool what they can do now technology wise. I'll have three more done next month. Who even knew I had tooth decay. Wow.

ReneeP, Great job on Cardio Leg Blast today.

This is a quick check-in. Slow and Heavy shoulders plus the crossfire bonus core this morning. If you haven't tried the CF bonus core, I highly recommend it. You start out thinking: this is easy and then you realize: not so much. Thank-you Cathe for once again fooling my brain into thinking you were giving me an easy routine. I'll try to get back later today. Maybe I can figure out how to post from my IPad.

The only time to do exercises is when Adrian is not here. He is such a handful. Down Syndrome is very challenging. I wish sometimes I could know what he's thinking. He is going on 4 but in the terrible two's stage. Lordy Lordy he's into everything. LOL:confused:

This is the day that Joey gets his skin cancer cut out and to find out what the other cancer sores are and if it is treatable by cutting them out. Lots of prayers for him couldn't hurt. Please?

Goodness gracious, it is cold here today. Just got back in from walking Ripken and it is downright nippy outside. Fortunately after one more cold day the temps are supposed to slowly moderate--50s next week. That is more to my liking in January (February too for that matter). I had a meeting at Quantico this afternoon so I was able to come home early. Will finish up my day at home and then telecommute tomorrow.

Janie: I hope all goes well for Joey. I immediately said a Hail Mary for him and asked for God's blessings for both of you. Toddlers are so much fun. You'll get a workout, but it will be an Adrian workout vice a Cathe workout. While I was back "home" visiting my parents and sisters after Christmas, I visited the couple that I babysat for when I was a teenager. I babysat their son, Drew, from the age of 2 and their daughter, Leeanne, just about from the day they brought her home from the hospital. They were such wonderful kids and I still think of them as my babies. They are, of course, grown up: age 37 and 33! But I have great memories of babysitting them during their infant and toddler years. I hope you have a good time with your grandson.

Sister is still on vacation so she is enjoying previewing the xtrain workouts and reading the guidebook. She did Hard Strikes the other day and just texted that she might try Super Cuts tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll start trying out the new workouts next week.

UPDATE: All cancer was successfully cut out of Joey. We are in 7th heaven! Thank you all for your prayers and positive vibes our way. It was so appreciated. YaaHOO!

Michelle, It's cold here too, a mere 28 degrees. Brrrrrrrrrr. Great job on walking Ripken. Thank you thank you for the Hail Mary for Joey. I truly believe in prayer. IT WORKED! Such wonderful memories when you visited the parents of the childrein you babysat. How are your babies doing? Your sister is treading the waters with XTrain. LOL Enjoy when you can.

Today was spinning for me. About 30 min. Not hard but did get a nice sweat in. Can now start on my rotation tomorrow. I can't wait! Thank you for the comments on my daughters drawing. She hasn't seen it yet. She hasn't been 16 for many years, but I think she will like it anyway. LOL Will be starting a portrait on my Grandson Cody today, he is 16 for real.
