Getting Our Licks In!

So, today was Gym Style Legs. Whew--what a leg workout. I opted for premix 2 which is about 50 minutes long. Still had me sweating and huffing and puffing, particularly during the leg presses which always gets my heart rate up. So--tomorrow is puppy pick up day. Still not sure which puppy we are going to get, but they all graded out as show quality puppies. My breeder is just about giddy with delight over how well all the puppies graded out. We will be the first to get our puppy. They are not all going to their new home tomorrow; we are the only ones picking up our puppy tomorrow. I'm glad Seiko won't be saying good-bye to all her boys on the same day; and her little girl, Phoebe, will be staying with her. Not sure whether I'm going to be able to sleep tonight or not.

Janie: thanks for the hint on the picture setting. I will give that a try.

Good grief how long has it been anyway since I posted! So sorry. Since I last posted I completed a week of Gym Styles & then received my new KCM's. Cardio Pump & Lean Body Circuits. For 2 weeks I've been doing KCM's. Their by far the best she's ever done. Love them. Of course I ordered Cathe's ICE series as I'm sure this will compliment very nicely w/KCM.

I was on vacation last week in the Dominican Republic. It was just what DH & I needed R&R. Beautiful hotel & it was all inclusive. Good food too. They had a water aerobics class which I took & a Pilates class. All fun. DH took pics. LOL

This week started off on Saturday w/Pump which is a heavy weight total body workout + ab section from Weights; Sunday was all the cardio of both workouts to Lean Body Circuits; Monday RWH HIIT LI #1; Tuesday Great Glutes (no stability ball premix); Wednesday Amy Bento Ross's Hi-lo Dome combos 1 & 2; no workout Thurs. as I had to work O/T & no workout tonight.

Michelle: That was so sweet & nice of your colleagues & friends to throw you a puppy shower. I'm so excited for you. I hope we get to view some pics soon once you figure it all out. Great workouts too.

Cindy: I've been busy too between work & home. Enjoy your stay in Boston.

Janie Sis: Sorry I've been MIA lately. Your pendants are GORGEOUS! How much are you selling them for? I'd be interested in the key chain one. You've been busy w/fun stuff.

I hope to get to the beach on Sunday as tomorrow it will be raining. Its finally hot here in NY. About time.

Yesterday was TBS. So nice. Today was Basic Step + Abdominal routine add on. I needed that desperately.

Kathy SIS! I missed you sooooooo much! Congratulations for completing a week of Gym Styles and the 2 weeks doing KCM's. Yep, they are great! I can't wait to get Ice in my hot little hands! Well no wonder you weren't here, you and hubby visiting the Dominican Republic. So good for staying on track and doing water aerobics and Pilates classes. Where are the pics? Great job on w/Pump and ab section. For Sun. cardio from Lean Body Circuits and Monday's RWH HIIT LI 1, Tus. Great Glutes, WED: Amy Bento and Thr. rest. Very proud of you! Awe I can make a key chain for you. I don't care how much you pay OR NOT. The key chain one has remains in it. But pick one (without ash in them) you want, or I can surprise you. Let me know sweetie. I'm SO glad you are back. Whew!

Yesterday I did the Intensity Low Impact/Bootcamp premix. Just enough cardio before getting cleaned up and leaving to get the puppy. Yes, we now have our sweet furbaby: Golden Dome's Southern Charm--call name still under discussion. Did not exercise today other than the little bit of exercise I got playing with my new baby. We ended up with Mr. Gold Boy (each puppy was designated by a color). He is very sweet, very loving, and playful--but not bouncing off the walls with energy. Diane, my breeder, picked out the perfect puppy for us. All four puppies graded out as show quality. The differences between them are more in their personalities. I've posted pictures on Facebook which I know Janie has been seeing. I am typing on my tablet vice my all-in-one computer which is where I've downloaded the pictures that I have taken so far. When I get a chance I will try to upload pictures from that computer.

Kathy: I am so glad that you are back. I was starting to worry that you had decided to leave our group. Thank goodness you were only on vacation! Hope you had a super wonderful time.

Did IMAX2 intervals 1-5 today. Got through the warm-up with the puppy and then had to let my DH watch him in the "puppy zone" while I finished the workout. Mr. Gold Boy sill does not have a name. I'm pushing for Harper again after the great southern writer Harper Lee. DH's reaction: that's a girl's name. Now mind you Harper is also Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals last name. So we are still stuck with no name. The little guy did sleep 6 hours last night which means I got 6 hours of sleep too which was very good. Then I got another hour of sleep after he crawled back in his crate this morning and went to sleep for another hour, so I'm not severely sleep deprived. We have a new puppy visit with the vet tomorrow afternoon.

Started Saturday w/KCM's new rotation. I did Saturday Lean Body Circuits #1 & on Sunday was TLC #1. Tonight will be MUL2BF #1 + abs.

Saturday got my hair done & Sunday was a beach day. Beautiful weather. Got some good color too. Water was too cold though to swim but otherwise it was nice & relaxing.

Michelle: Mr. Gold Boy is doing so well w/sleeping 6 hours & your not being too sleep deprived. Thank goodness. I'll have to check out the pics on FB. I bet he's a cutie. You got in some great workouts too.

Janie Sis: I liked the blue key chain but you can surprise me too. You must let me know how much I can send you. My workouts now at age 61 are much more intermediate. Whenever I do an advanced workout I need more recovery time & low impact the next day. I can't wait either for ICE series. You had good workouts too.

Last night had a good workout w/KCM's MUL2BF #1 which incorporates everything except legs, bis & tris. I also did KCM's MUL2BF ab section. Tonight will be Cardio Pump #1 which is the cardio part of the dvd. Fun choreography.

I love playing the guitar and singing, my artwork of all kinds and exercising as well. Been doing all that along with enjoying friends. Makes for a full and happy week. My rotation for the next couple of weeks is the beginner rotation that Cathy put together. So far so good, haven't missed any one of them. However I've been MIA for a few days. How can that be? Mon. Basic Step + Lower Body hand weight add on, today is a rest day.

Kathy Sis, Great job on starting a new rotation. For Sat. Lean Body Circuits 1 and Sun. TLC 1. Enjoy tonight MUL2BF 1 and abs. It's always nice to have your hair done and go to the beach. I'm making your key chain now. It's clear with blue and pink swirls. Will send it out within the next couple of days. Let me know when you get it. Do you still live in Oceanside, NY?
Just finished the key ring. Please let me know if you don't want this one. I can make another. Really, I can sell this one and keep making them until you like one.

Last night's KCM Cardio Pump the cardio section is so much fun. Kelly enjoying herself & so is her crew which is large 7 of them. Had a great workout. Tonight's KCM's Split Sessions #2 which is legs. This is the best leg workout Kelly has ever done. Kelly tends to be weak in this dept. We all know that Cathe's the Queen of legs.

Janie Sis: This particular key chain is beautiful. Thank you so much my sweet friend for sending it to me. Yes I still live in Oceanside, NY. Every time I take it out I'll be thinking of you. Glad you too have started a rotation. I'm quite envious of you. You have wonderful friends & all the different activities you do I too hope to be as busy as you in a few years when I retire.

Michelle: How's Mr. Gold Boy doing? Are you still getting enough sleep or has that disappeared? :)

Our puppy finally has a call name: Toby. And last night, he slept straight through for a full 8 hours! So happy about that because it meant that I slept for a straight 8 hours. And I will tell you that going to sleep since we got Toby has not been a problem for me. I'm hoping the longer amounts of sleep become a trend but I know I should not count on that for a while. I am trying to stay on track with exercising but I am happy if I can get exercise in every other day right now. Yesterday was Slow and Heavy Chest and Back. Definitely feeling my chest and back muscles today. Loving every minute with our new fur baby. I know that I still need to try to post pictures. Size of the files is still an issue. Oh--I almost forgot: I did order Cathe's new series. Looking forward to having a series that is a little less intense. Thank goodness Cathe is aging with us!

Janie: Really beautiful key chain. Cathe's beginner rotation is a good one--I'm happy you are sticking with it.

Kathy: Enjoy the KCM workouts! As always, you provide the exercise variety to our group. And yes, Cathe is the queen of leg workouts!

Today was Basic Step plus upper body hand weight add on. Tomorrow is Jamming here at my house. WooHOO!

Michelle, Glad Toby gave you enough sleep, how sweet of him. LOL He, with a new baby you just have to do what you can. You'll be back on track in no time. Great job on Slow and Heavy Chest and Back.

Last night was KCM's Split Sessions #2 (Legs). This is the best leg workout Kelly has ever done. Yowza were my legs talking to me last night. Still have DOMS in my glutes this morning. Tonight's Kelly's Slim Sculpting which is a total body kettlebell workout. This one even has 2 cardio segments within the workout.

Janie Sis: Thank you so much for sending out to me the key chain. Good job on your workouts. What will you be jamming to? Curious minds want to know.

Kathy Sis, Great job on KCM's Split Sessions 2. DOM's are good, congratulations for them. OOOOO, like kettlebell workouts.

Our group has 25 songs. Some are very challenging for me and some are simply just wonderful to play. For instance, we play Blue Bayou and it's very simple to play, but so hard to sing. Here are some of my favorites: Cathy's Clown by Everly Brothers, Come Monday by Jimmy Buffet, Get Together by the Everly Brothers, Have You Ever Seen The Rain by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Let It Be Me by Everly Brothers, Lonely People by America, Near You by George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Our Day Will Come...

I have songs I sing alone at home that are right down my ally and near and dear to my heart like Billy Jean, Michael Jackson, Close to You, by the Carpenters, Creep by Radiohead (Love This ONE), Dancing In The Dark by Bruce Springsteen, a Christian Song called Dancing In The Sky, which reminds me of all the people in my life that are in heaven now. Harvest Moon, by Neil Young, In My Life by the Beatles, Many songs by Daniela Andrade, because I seem to be able to sing along with her and more from from other artists. However, being with a group of people jamming, is the ultimate fun EVER. Doesn't matter to me what is being played. SO MUCH FUN!

Yesterday was Kick, Punch, and Crunch kickbox drills and abs. Today was S&H legs and shoulders. I wasn't sure whether I would get in the whole workout today but I did. Toby slept for 7 hours straight last night--I can live on 7-8 hours of sleep. He is already zoned out for tonight. I might try to get to bed a little earlier tonight. Never fails though, once I take him out for his last potty break before bed and then we go upstairs, he is a little revved up. But usually he winds down after 15 minutes, crawls in his crate, cuddles his teddy bear, and goes to sleep.

Kathy: nice job on the KCM leg workout. DOMs are a good thing. How did the workout today go? It sounded like it could be a tough one.

Janie: that is quite a musical repetoire. It is really wonderful that you are stretching your musical talents. So happy that you are happy.

Last night was certainly a good kettlebell workout. That one cardio segment is hard & takes my breath away. Kelly then winds up the whole workout with a kb ab routine. Whew I'm glad that's over with as today my legs are toast. Tonight's a well needed Flexibility workout. This is a new dvd that my GF recommended. Its very good flows beautifully from one move into the next.

Janie Sis: My DH can relate to your musical gatherings. He's always jamming w/his friend Angelo who plays the drums. Most of the songs you play I absolutely love. Glad your having fun w/your guitar.

Michelle: Toby is such a sweetie. Curls up w/his little teddy bear. SO CUTE! I know your loving every minute that your spending w/him. Its great that your not sleep deprived. What a good puppy & you sure are lucky that he sleeps 7 hours b/c most puppies do not. You got in some good workouts.

Took DH out for dinner Saturday night to a Spanish restaurant. My DS had to work all weekend so missed out on a good meal. :( Sunday DH relaxed & played his guitar.

Janie Sis: Rec'd the key chain. Its gorgeous. The pic doesn't do it justice. Can't thank you enough. You had good workouts on Friday. Hope you enjoyed the weekend.

Staying busy trying to keep up with the puppy and get work done. Yesterday I did the first half of S&H triceps and today I did the second half of the workout, biceps and abs. Right now 30 minutes/day is about all I can squeeze in on the exercise front. I have to tell you all that I am just whipped by the time I go to bed at night. Thankfully, Toby goes right to sleep in his crate and I am not far behind him.

Janie: Happy anniversary. Hope you and Joey are having a wonderful day.

Kathy: sounds like you had a nice relaxing weekend. Dinner out with your DH sounds good too.

Last night was KCM's Split Sessions upper body. Whew! This one goes fast so you need to have everything ready. Luckily I previewed the workout beforehand & had all the dbs ready. Tonight's Total Body Kickboxing #1.

Janie Sis: Happy anniversary! What are you & DH planning to do? Enjoy your day. I took Hubby out for dinner. It was my son who had to work & couldn't make it. Good job on Basic Step & Lower Body Hand weight.

Michelle: I'm sure Toby has you running. Getting in 30 min. of a workout it just fine. It sure does suit me. Good job on your SH workout.
