Getting Our Licks In!

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the nice welcome 'home' :D

This week, I opted out of a four day trip and it feels great :) It's part of learning prioritization, right? Despite not having posted about that for awhile, I'm still practicing daily to get better at managing my choices about time. It's helping - I'm happier about the balance in my life, and feeling (a little) less guilty about not getting enough done.

Cancelling the trip was a big deal for me, but wholly supported by management, who are pleased I'm not working myself to death :) The people I had intended to visit are disappointed and the trip was going to be useful ... but the list of things that needed doing was so long, clearly something had to give. Instead of spending Tuesday in a plane, then, I was able to catch up on a bunch of business activities, have a sensible breakfast, lunch and then enjoy pizza-dinner (very naughty! very yummy!) with my husband instead of eating hotel food. The dogs got their walk, the horse tanks are now full, and I got a full night's sleep. I finally managed to get to the dentist to have the permanent cap put on that root canal tooth  Best of all, Atreides and I went for a lovely ride/gallop in the woods. We both needed it :D Today I will get more work caught up and slip in another ride, and maybe brush out one of the dogs.

Workouts - one light day, one rest day, and yesterday my two new Kelly CM's came! One has an Olympic lift workout that I'm looking forward to. I started with Circuit. I really liked Circuit. It had a lot of sweeping multiplanar moves while holding a dumbbell, some quite different. One or two people on VideoFitness have mentioned this as repetive but I sure didn't feel that way. The puzzlement is that no body part feels worked out to failure or tiredness, so perhaps I should consider this to be heavy cardio??? Cardio with upper body strength? That would let me do lower body weights today. Regardless, this dvd is one I'm going to use quite a bit once I figure out a recovery strategy.

Laura, speaking of sweeping moves and dumbbells, you asked about kettlebells. One reason I liked those kettlebell workouts last week so much is that they have you moving around in multiple planes with a weight, many lifts from floor to reaching overhead, which is one reason I liked the KCM circuit so much. I'll often start out with a light dumbbell for a kettlebell move so as to get the positioning down first, and also because I have more weight options that way. It isn't quite the same - you won't have as much fun with the swings - but you can still do most of the moves. Even the Turkish Getup, which I'd like to master this year.

Janie, so glad you had a wonderful time with the family! Sisters are definitely for hugging :) Rolly continues to live a wonderful life - such a lucky doggie! How is your garden doing, by the way? I haven't asked about that in awhile. The weird weather has certainly affected our plants ...

Elle, very good to hear you are feeling better! Funny that we both picked circuits - do they seem extra energizing to you too? Congrats on the weight loss :) BTW, speaking of fruits and veggies, do you do smoothies? We replaced our blender and I am back on a smoothie kick again. It's an easy way to get a lot of fruit in, though depending on how you make them the calories can creep in easily too.

Shoegal, what a week you've had socially! You are a real trooper for handling all those visits. It's wearing to be on the go all the time. However, with all your decorating, is it fun to have these couples over to see what you're doing with the house? What's the next holiday? New workout preorder - well, I am going to do it. I am sure to want them all. Except step. We complement each other there! You could have the step, and I will take the kickbox. Isn't pre-ordering about to start?

Okay, Rene and Michelle, you must realize that we are all bursting! We need to hear about the road trip! Am guessing you are both so worn out from leaping high into the air, and rolling down on the ground, and punching up a storm after stepping fast and furious, that even your typing fingers cannot move and your glutes will not allow lengthy periods of sitting at the keyboard even if they could :D:D:D Hope you had one terrific time and that it was a wonderful 'vacation' for you both.

Did a warm up with Joey and TBS. Walked Rolly and did MM. It was great.

Deborah, Changing is hard to do for sure, and I'm impressed how much change you are going through with flying colors. Good for you.

Great job on all those workouts during the days. You rock. I think it's time for me to do a kettle bell workout. Kelly sounds very interesting. I'm going to have to look into that one also.

I put my garden to sleep this year. Black tarp all over the gardens. It needs a break anyway. Since we've been here, I never gave it a rest.

My # is 63056. These DVD's look fantastic, as always.

Have a wonderful evening.

Janie

Last night - I treated my back to Qi Gong for Lower back pain - I have been having a flare up of pain there and have been babying it quite a bit. I tried to find something "gentle" in terms of other workouts - started an Amy Bento step tape and found that I was wincing - stopped it. I tried SC: Circuit Blast - that was no go as well. I really haven't done that more than twice so didn't know what was really in there - but it wasn't a "gentle" workout by any means. The Qi Gong was gentle and wonderful - "flowing with nature" so to speak and I felt much better afterwards. I wanted Rex to join me for the partner stretch but he didn't show up.

Janie - hmmm - giving the garden a rest - I have to say that actally sounds like a really good idea - my garden in the front is taking a dive. Three plants have bit the dust and now an annual is suffering. I'm thinking - nothing save the cannas want to grow in there. I'm not sure what I need in there to help - do you have any suggestions?

Shadowpup - Isn't it good to be home!! Just getting things in order there - and sleeping in your own bed - and being around your "children" - it is kind of refreshing after being away so much. Just eating regular food is also a treat after being away from it. I didn't preorder - I'm shocked I am thinking about waiting actually. I might cave today.

Hope everyone is doing well. :D

Hello everybody!

Sorry I haven't done a check in since the Cathe Road Trip. I've been back home (home) for a few days, and am just catching up on quite a lot of things and I've let our check in slide.
Since being back, I did Step Blast yesterday and LowMax today. Considering a break since I start STS on Saturday, and will be doing the 3 and half month rotation with Shock Cardio. My weights have gone up and I foresee a big challenge ahead, but "embrace the challenge" right?

Michelle and I had a blast at the Road Trip. It was so cool to be around 100+ fit, enthusiastic people. Every moment was filled, and there was barely any down time at all. But you definately get what you paid for! Friday evening, step and stretch, greet and meet, and eat and WOW! Then Saturday, 4 workouts in the morning, step, spinning, boot camp and yoga. Yoga was not my favorite, nor was spinning for that matter, but I loved the workouts Cathe did! We had lunch, and then a Circuit Blast with upper body conditioning. We then had a chance to go back to the hotel, shower, rest, change and then go back to the gym for more good food and the Zumba party. Sunday morning we had a 60 minute Lower Body blast with Cathe. She went "easy" on us, but we still worked up a good sweat. From there it was on to the 5 Points Diner, for brunch and then we hit the road back to Michelle's. All in all it was an amazing experience, I hope to repeat again and again. Cathe is the most geniune, sincere, likable person you will ever meet. She has a great staff and really throws one heck of a "party". I hope you all get a chance to experience one of her road trips. It is unforgettable. I have yet to download any pics, and will post those on Facebook eventually. If I can figure out how to do it here, I'll post a few here too.

Hi everybody,
Like sister, I've taken a couple of days to get back into my schedule after the Cathe roadtrip. Going on the roadtrip was FANTASTIC. I hope someday, we can all be there together. The first night, Brenda, Jai, Lorraine, and Cedie joined the group for a little food and some social time. So here is the first thing you notice about Cathe and the gang: they are all in fantastic shape and they are short. I don't know if any one of them is over 5' 2". We see them on the dvds and you think they are probably about average height, but they are not. And they are all about the same height which is kind of funny. They are extremely friendly and very easy to talk to. I didn't really get a chance to talk to Jai and Cedie but did spend a little time talking with Lorraine and Brenda. I also had a chance to spend some time talking with Chris Williams, Cathe's partner. He went to Va Tech, a couple years ahead of me, so we spent some time reminiscing. He went to Tech as an undergrad and I went for my masters, so our experiences were a little different.

Saturday was a great day. I was worried about making it through all the workouts, but I did and so did sister. I had never done a spinning class before and really enjoyed that. Cathe's bootcamp was alot of fun too. She set up "drills" and had everyone running through them in sequence which was fun. It felt more interactive. I enjoyed the stretch class on Friday and the yoga on Saturday. Sister was not so much into the yoga. Alot people commented over the weekend that they probably didn't stretch as much as they should. Hmmmm. Sunday morning was a lower body blast workout followed by brunch at a local diner (very yummy). I've got pictures which I will post on my personal page here and on facebook, but that will probably take me a few more days to get done.

They had lots of Cathe merchandise on sale and Feel Fit Wear was also there. Sister and I each bought 2 Cathe shirts and I got a 5 pound and an 8 pound squishy ball. Sister also bought the 12-20 pound weighted vest. I have not preordered the new dvds yet, but will be doing that in the next day or so. Oh yeah, and Cathe autographed my Step Moves and Athletic Step dvd covers. I think sister got her LowMax cover autographed and maybe another.

I also have to say I was very impressed with Cathe and Chris' staff. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and seem to really enjoy working at The Four Seasons. The gym itself is something to behold. It is HUGE and the range and amount of equipment is beyond impressive. They have these big A$$ Fans in the aerobic studio with blades at least 6 feet long. The funny thing is that the brand name on the fan is BIG A$$ FANS. I had to take a picture of them.

The whole weekend is very high energy and not much sleep. Sister and I pretty much crashed after getting back to the boat Sunday afternoon. Definitely something we will do again. Cathe told everyone to take two days off from exercise which I did. Yesterday, I did a little cardio and today I needed a stretch, so I did stretch max. Tomorrow I'll be getting back to the normal weekend workouts.

A rest day for me today.

Shoegal, So so sorry about the pain in your back. Very glad to hear that Oi Gong is helping.

Every year you should treat your garden with lots of mushroom compost, and a layer of fresh garden soil. That's pretty much it.

Renee, Great job on your workouts. Don't worry about not checking in for a few days. It's OK. Getting back to normal takes a little while to adjust.

The road trip sounds so wonderful. I can only dream about it. Oh do please try to get some pictures here from the RT. I figured Cathe was the real deal. What a fantastic memory you and your sister have. Wow!

Michelle, It is so cool to just be able to sit down and talk to Brenda and Lorraine. OMG! I hear that all the time, that they all are short, but in remarkable shape. It sounds like you both had a wonderful experience and a lifetime memory. Do get pictures for all of us to see. Please!:)

Take care everyone,

Janie

Great to hear from you both, Michelle and Renee! Sounds like your Round Trip was every bit as good as we keep hearing they usually are. No wonder the slots fill up so fast! It's really neat to hear that Cathe and team are just the same off camera as on; so often that's not the case. Tiny, strong, and very nice! That's quite a combination. Bootcamp, weights, and all. Did people who have two left feet still enjoy the step? Drills sound fantastic - all those motivated cathe-ites racing around gives quite a mental picture!!!

Oops, is that the sound of a RT jumping on my wish list?

Just a quick check in this morning. Yesterday was a Cathe day. In honor of the RT, I did Pyramid Upper body, with the Up premix. It was a long work day, 7a to 8p, so that's all I felt like doing, and it was a lot of fun. She packs considerable work into that short half hour.

Janie, we tend to rotate crops, and leave corners fallow also. The horses supply the compost - they claim they are working animals, working at transforming hay and treats into gardening materials! It does make a difference. Your tarp treatment probably does a good job of killing out weeds, right? And you did great with the pre-order; you must have been one of the earlier ones on line :)

Shoegal, you are right - just being home is a treat! I still have today and tomorrow, too. So, Qi Gong works for your back? Whose dvd do you use for that? Let us know if you cave on the pre-order :) I thought - it would be a good deal, and I could sell off anything I don't want. Of course I rarely part with a dvd, and never a Cathe dvd, so that's self-justification and not a true reason ;)

Hi to Laura and Elle!

Hello everyone !!!!

Over to my sister in law's house for dinner last night - literally not a moment to spare there - walked in the door - let the girls out and Gunner and then ran out the door - we were late too. We had dinner - very good - sang Happy Birthday - played some games - had some wine. :p We all had such a nice time - came home rather late. So no workout.:eek::(:p Today - a co worker's birthday and a small happy hour type meeting with some very old friends beforehand will take me out directly after work again. It is fun, though - nice now in the summer to do some things that take you away from work commitments and home project type things but I do hate getting away from my routine.

Renee & Michelle - The road trip sounds so fantastic - actually your first hand accounts sounded better than the my own vision - so I think I'm going to plan on doing that in the future. I remember they would have Firm Road trips too - I always wanted to go - alas, never did. So glad it was worth it. Can't wait to see the pictures!!

Janie - Thanks for the advice - I'm going to smother the front garden in mushroom compost and get some good soil - that ought to help. Loving my planters right now - they are exploding with flowers.

Shadowpup - it is a workout (not sure of the company name) with Lee Holden. It was recommended by the folks over at VF as a good workout for the back. It really did help and I've been icing up the back big time these last few days. I haven't caved yet on the preorder. I've been insane this month with purchases however - so I'm thinking I need to slow down a little but I bet I don't hold out very long.

Hello out there to Laura & Elle. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Well, I pre-ordered, DVD's and downloads. 63435

Going to take it easy today. I will probably do Stretch Max later. Tomorrow I start STS again.

Went to school to research black spirituals. I need about 6 songs with Orff accompaniment for my first program in October. I have found 7 so far. I want to start teaching/rehearsing the material as soon as school starts. This will be for my fourth graders, and I love this group of children! They have been one of my favorites no matter their grade level. The program will be based on the scholastic book "...If You Traveled on the Underground Railroad", a subject/material taught in Virginia studies in 4th grade. Its going to be "tailor" made by me and another teacher. Should prove to be fun and interesting.

Yesterday in karate, I got the attitude of the day award. We worked on the elbow "kata". This was day 2 for me, and I finally got it! Then we did flip kick drills. Ouchy. And then we worked on Tonfu kata #1. It was so confusing, but after about 45 minutes I started to get it. The foot work isn't that difficult, its what to do with your arms, and weapons that discombobulate my brain. I've gone over it this morning with good success. I was afraid I would forget everything I learned last night, but sleep did me good. Retained it all...ah, that mental and physical connection...connecting! Woo--hoo!

Its good to reconnect with all of you. Everyone sounds busy and enjoying life.

Just caught up with all the posts! When you miss a few days you can really miss a lot of good stuff!~

We are still at the beach, I am not working out like 'normal' but getting in what I can when I can considering all the activities, the number of people and my beautiful girls. I figure just being at the beach with the girls has to be burning some calories! Right??:confused::eek:

Since being here I have done Core Max Routine #1, a pilates DVD using a thera band, 2 stretch Max segments, one 3 mile run on the beach, one 1.40 mile walk, run, spring with my girls and that is about it. Not as much as I hoped, but it is hot and I can't workout more with out feeling like I am being selfish or not helping out around here..I did wake up to run this morning but there was a heavy rain storm, so I went back to bed! We are heading out to the Aquarium in Charleston, will come back and go to the beach and then I will need to pack me and the girls and help to straighten this place up as we leave tomorrow! This place is amazing and we are so lucky to have been able to stay here. Turns out that my MIL's niece married the man who manages Mike Dell's alternative assets so that is how someone in their 30's can afford a 'summer house" like this!

Hi to everyone! I have to run now! Starting to looking forward to getting back on routine as well!! Lovely as this is I am getting tired of being hot, sticky, and sandy all the time!

Slow workout day. Only managed to squeeze in upper body sculpt and stability ball abs. Tomorrow will either be a bike ride, kick max, or B&G.

I was a little preoccuppied with work stuff today and I had to "spot" Joe while he replaced the windshield wipers on the bridge windows (on the boat). He makes me nervous when he does stuff like that, but it was one, two, three and done.

Laura: it sounds like you have had a great time in South Carolina. Back to Atlanta tomorrow? We had quite a bit of rain here last night and today has been warm but very low humidity. Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be even better.

Shoegal and Shadowpup: it would be great if you guys could get to the roadtrip next year. There were quite a few check-in groups there; it would be nice to have a few more of our group there too. We met one person from Arizona, so folks do travel to get there. We also met several women from Canada. Speaking of Canada--Elle, where are you? Of course, it would truly be fantastic to have the whole group at a roadtrip. But you've literally got to be poised to register the second the website opens up.

Sister is starting STS this weekend, I will be starting it on Monday. I'm toying with the idea of doing an undulating rotation this time: first week meso 1, first week meso 2, first week meso 3, then second week of each and so on. One of the woman we met at the roadtrip (forum name is PugW) said she did the undulating rotation the second time that she did STS and she really liked it. It is definitely going to take me longer to get through STS this time around because I have two new projects that will require some travel this fall, but that's okay. I don't know if I can hang with shock cardio all the way through this run with STS. It really got to my feet achilles tendons last time round, so I'll probably mix my cardio up with other Cathe cardios.

Looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Hope everyone else has the same.

Walked Rolly and used heavy weight for TBS. Next week we are thinking about going to the ocean. Mon. or Tues. for sure. Wed. is suppose to be beautiful. We'll see.

Deborah, Great job on the PUB premix.:)

Very lucky, to have on hand, any time you like, some compost. The horse are doing their job for sure.:D

The tarps are ubdeed killing out the weeds and should be good to go next year. It will be great again to have a garden.

On the pre-order, I don't think I'm far ahead of you. We did good regardless. Yea!

Shoegal, Sounds like you had such a lovely evening celebrating the birthday party. You deserve it.

I can imagine how beautiful your flowers look in the planters.

Renee, I'm seriously thinking about starting STS series after we get home from the ocean. Joey wants to too. Yea!

The Black Spirituals sound very interesting. Have fun with it.

Sounds like Karate is doing you good and you are having fun. Good going with the arm movements for Kata.

Hope you had a great easy day.

Laura, Being at the beach yes in deed burns up calories. Have Fun! The workouts you did burned a lot of calories too.

Michelle, Slow workout days are important too. Tomorrow sounds like a toughie.

Have a nice relaxing weekend. I'm sure I will.

Janie

I started STS again, just finished disc 1. I love how I feel after an STS workout. These endurance types really make me sweat. Doing 15 pound db shoulder press will do it too! And so many push-ups! All varieties! Those get to me too. As for bicep work, I can pretty much hang with it, though my weights are more then last time (of course). Looks like I have HiiT 40/20 for tomorrow. Oh boy, can't wait. At least its ONLY 29 minutes. OY!

My Mom and I went shopping today. Its "tax free" holiday in Virginia. I got some good buys, but my Mom only ended up with some new shoes and catfood. She is looking for new pants, but for a 70+ year old woman, she knows what she likes and doesn't like which makes finding anything for her a major difficulty. The waist line is too low, or the leg portion is too wide, or the back juts out in the back. (Do they make these for hunchbacks?) I have the same difficulty with the back portion. But the styles that I like she wouldn't look at anyway. Hopefully one day, she will find something that fits, and then buy 6 pairs of them!!!! :D

Hi all!

Last day home for awhile - tomorrow's flight is late morning, though, which is nicer than leaving before the sun wakes up.

Since it is the last day, and we have a cooler breeze, I took Sierra out for an afternoon ride. He didn't get to go yesterday, which would have been his turn. Shoegal, your long list of social events would wear me out! We just had a dinner yesterday, and it threw my evening all off. No riding, no long work hours, no workout . How can two hours early evening make such a difference? But it was a fun dinner, and I went to bed early, and today started off well. Tonight, no social events, and hopefully time to ride the other two boys so that everyone will have had some fun before heading out.

DH had a great week! His team won both of the summer season golf tournaments, he has now lowered his handicap to single digits, and is playing consistently most days instead of having half really good days and half really bad. He's delighted. This strikes me as kind of funny. A lower handicap means that other golfers can hit more strokes and still beat you. And, if you are inconsistent and have a high handicap, on your good days you will probably play so well that with your handicap you will be sure to win! So, a higher handicap and inconsistent play is kind of good, if you want to win more matches. You'll lose by more shots, but you'll also win more often. Just set things up so you are aweful on one day, and awesome on another :D But, for bragging rights, golfers like single digits or 'scratch' handicaps, love to be consistent, and don't am guessing that means they really don't care much about who actually wins a match except in tournaments. Or so it seems. But then I am looking at it mathematically and not with the soul of a golfer  DH hates it when I draw him curves that explain this kind of thing

Wow, Renee, you took your mandatory time off and are hitting it again with a bang! How do the Endurance workouts interact with your Karate classes? Have to agree with you on STS. There's no weighted workout like them. I am really looking forward to the full body version, or workout blender. Congrats on the pre-order - those numbers went up fast! Underground Railroad - sounds great, civic minded musical numbers ... Remembering gradeschool, it was Harriet Tubman? Uncle Tom's Cabin? Catcher in the Rye? Do they use those books still?

Michelle, you and Renee are seriously tempting me to put a RT on the wish list still!!!! And the undulating workout sounds good. You know, I've been wondering something about that. Would it make sense to have the undulations slightly off from one another? Say, a Meso 3 legs with Meso 2 upper body? Then half the body would be on building muscle, and the other half strengthening it. That might help with all those naturally produced growth hormones we think about. Just curious. For me, with the travel, it will be full body or upper/lower splits til September.

Janie, you are doing such a great job of really living this summer to the fullest. Ocean, walks, woods, and I haven't forgotten about that GPS question - did you find one? I was looking at a geocache gps and thought of you. And I used more of your soap the other day, too :)

Laura, walking in sand, or running I suspect with your girls, has got to be one of the best exercises ever! Definitely that counts. Likely really good for you to do these unstructure activity/workouts since you have so many that are structured during the year, and then you probably start again with the ski preparation classes in fall, yes?

Shoegal, Lee Holden does sound familiar... If you continue to like it, it may go on the wish list. It sounds like a good one for travel, to help loosen things up. On the pre-order ... well, this one was Cathe, so instinct kicked in fast ... I'm still holding out on TurboFire, though. I really kind of want it, based on all the good reviews I hear, but so far I haven't found that my Chalean dvds get used nearly as much as my others. Probably sensible to wait and see if I can get it used somewhere. Not sure I am willing to be sensible; we'll see.

Hi to Elle, and IronLady, we miss you!

Wee doggie! I did 40/20 today, and must have poured gallons upon gallons of water from every pore of my body! That is such a killer workout. Its short, but it packs a punch!

Deborah, yes, those books are still used in grade school. And I haven't had any difficulty with the balance of STS 1 and karate, yet. I say yet, because there is one more week of summer vacation, and then its back to school. Putting in full work days, doing STS and karate, plus a few piano lessons on the side will prove to be a juggling act. Heck, I've done it before (without the karate) I should be able to swing it okay!

Hope everyone is doing okay. Its a beautiful day in central Virginia though the heat is going to crank up again this week. Gonna do some yard work, which I have neglected in July. Hard to mow brown grass, but we have gotten some good rain lately and things are green and getting a bit tall.

Waled Rolly about an hour and a half today. We loved it!

Will be going to the ocean/beach Wednesday or Thursday. Should be a wonderful time.

Renee, Will be starting STS Monday. I can't wait! Congratulations on finishing Disc 1! Yea!!!!!!

I'm glad you had fun shopping with your Mom. More nice memories.

Deborah, I bet the boys enjoyed you riding them. How long will you be traveling this time around? Love your interpretation of golf mathematics. LOL;)

Am truly enjoying this Summer for sure. Don't know when I'll be able to do those kinds of things again. It's so much fun, but realizing how important home is to me. Love it here in our paradise.

Sounds like your DH is doing very well in golfing. Bet he was in 7th heaven.:D

I didn't find a GPS, but really very careful where I place my markers when we do go for walks in the wood.

So glad you are enjoying the soap. I couldn't be more pleased.

Renee, Fantastic job on 40/20! I love a workout that packs a punch.;)

We don't have heat like you do in Virgina, and think of you when it's so darn hot. Stay cool. Enjoy your yard work while you can.

Have a good one everyone.

Janie

I've been taking it way lighter this week than sister, did travel fit yesterday and will most likely do a cardio after we get home this afternoon. I've enjoyed taking a light week. With STS disc 1 on my schedule tomorrow, I'm pretty sure my body will appreciate this past week. Shadowpup, I'm not sure about the answer to your question on having the undulations slightly off. Sounds like a good question for Cathe or Fitness Freak.

We had a really nice day at the marina yesterday. I cleaned the bridge after exercise, and then after cleaning up, DH and I went to the pool for a few hours. Lots of adults at the pool--not as many kids which was a little strange since it was such a nice day. As sister said, it is tax-free shopping in Va and MD this weekend for back-to-school, so maybe the parents had the kids at the stores doing the shopping thing.

Janie: are you going to be getting more of those wonderful black rocks at the ocean this year. They are really beautiful. Shadowpup mentioned using your soap. I think I have one more bar left as well. I should get that out of the closet and use it.

Laura: you are so active with your children that it seems like you are exercising even when you aren't "officially" exercising. Hope you had a great time.

I'm thinking I should go ahead and do my pre-order today. Don't know what I'm waiting for. I'm also contemplating an IPOD touch. I'm seeing that apple might be releasing the 4G version this year, so of course I'm also hesitating to see if there is going to be more info coming on the new features with the newest version. I'm starting to feel like I need to cave and either upgrade my phone or get an IPOD so I'm a little more technologically in step. Christmas is coming, so the IPOD might go on my wish list.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Well we are back in Atlanta. Thankful the weather has broken a little and it is only in the mid 80's today. Yesterday was a super long day, I got up and did my last 3 mile jog on the beach and then packed and cleaned the house and a 5 hour drive back....to unload the car and get the kids to bed. I was tired and went to bed at a reasonable (although not early) hour, which was good because Bo's Sister and her family arrived at 11 pm and apparently they all stayed up until 2 am!!:p;)

I got up early and ran today again 3 miles, but it was tough this morning. Atlanta is actually very hilly and I don't usually run hills. Plus it is pavement which I find very jarring, so I doubt I will run tomorrow....

I did preorder the new DVD's as well as finally order Cross Train Xpress as you all know I have wanted for ever and Body Max2 that I ordered and somehow lost...

Janey: yes I agree with Shadowpup that you seem to be enjoying your summer to it's fullest! Have fun at the beach.

Shadowpup: thanks for the tips/advice on the kettle bells, I think I will keep them for a latter purchase. I bet all of you really enjoyed the ride! I wondered if your DH had a hobby to keep him occupied while you were on the road! Sounds complicated with the golf, but it sounds like he is doing well!!

Catchick: Welcome home! Any suggestions for post STS workouts? I am going to repeat 2 weeks of Meso 3 when I get back and then I am at a loss!

Hi to Michelle, Shoegal & Elle Stay in touch!!

Michelle, Taking a light week is really good thinking on your part. Sounds like lounging at the pool might be just heavenly.

We intend to get more black rocks, but don't know exactly when. I will be looking for them where we are going this time around. There should be some there amongst the other rocks, only bigger. I hope anyway, we'll see.

Enjoy the soap.;)

However you do your workouts, I'm sure they will be good ones. Glad to see you pre-ordering.

Laura, Welcome back to Atlanta. Sounds like a very busy day. In no time at all it will be back to normal. If there is such a thing.

Most likely you were tired because of so much running the day before. Hang in there. Or maybe not enough sleep, or didn't eat right... who knows. Just proud of you for doing it.

We will try to have fun at the beach. It's so glorious this time of year. We are waiting for good weather and Wedn. or Thur. sounds like we will be going. Yea!

How did you loose the DVD's you wanted? Did you lose the pre-orders too? How frustrating.:(

Take care everyone, see you all tomorrow.

Janie
