Forum Transfer - Very Important

In just a few more days we plan on launching our new Cathe Forums and our new beta website which will include the Workout Manager (aka “WM”). We’ve been working some very long hours trying to get everything ready. If all goes well sometime this week we will go live with our new site and will launch our new Forums. It will also be necessary to close our current forums during this time so that we can transfer threads and other information to the new forums. Here are some things that you must know:

#1 When our new Forums come online your current password will not work. You will have to request a new password after trying to login the first time. A new password will be sent to your email address listed in your “user menu” of our current forums. Please verify that your current email address is correct in the “user menu” located at the top of our current forums start page.

#2 If your email address is not correct please follow these steps: Simply click on the "User Menu" link at the top of our forums main and first page. Then click on "Edit account information" and change your email address to your new email address.

#3 Once you successfully login you will want to first go to your UserCP and fill out the requested information. Please try to upload an new Avatar of yourself ASAP. Note: The maximum size of your custom Avatar is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller). This might be a silly question, and I apologize if it is, but will avatars with a personal photo be required? I don't like to post pictures of myself on the internet, and prefer to use a photo of my cat instead. Will that still be allowed?

Try clicking "Top" at the top of this page first, then you will see "user menu" as one of the options.

Avatars are not required, but they help to put a face with a username. One of the things we hope the new site will do is allow our users to learn more about each other. This is important because it helps other users to get to know you better and it also helps forum members to find and make friends who share a common interest or problem. You can provide as much or as little information about yourself as you like. Avatars are just one example.

Hi Chris,

I did get your email,but deleted it by accident!Sorry! Since I can not change my current email how will it affect me? I am so confused! Which one is the correct one for the new website? I don't have the email address that is in my "User Menu"! I am sorry I am such a pain, put I have the movers(I am moving all my furniture back to Germany!) coming next Monday! I am worried I can't keep up with all the new changes!+

I cant find "user menu" ANYWHERE!!!!! I clicked "Top" at the top of this page like someone suggested and still didnt see "user menu" anywhere.

What if I can't remember the password I used? I have run into this when I have tried to login on another computer. I guess I didn't write it down. I am going to try and figure it out. Will this really be a problem?

It wont matter as long as your current email address in the current Forum User Menu is correct. Once we switch to the new forum software all passwords will be voided and will no longer work. The first time you try to login to our new forums you will need to request a new password. A new password will be sent to the email address you have listed in our current forums.

What the email said is we already show that you did successfully change your email address. This is why you're getting the error message saying you can't change your email address to your new one because it already exists.
