Fitnessfreak's December Rotation for 12/2

Debbie, just wanted to thank you for all your wonderful rotations! I've done a couple and love them. I'm also doing Decembers and did Step Blast this morning. Very sweaty! I, too, haven't done it in a long time, but remembered all the steps. I remember learning it and thought I'd never get that third combo! Now it's like riding a bike.

Both my back and chest are a bit sore from HIS chest and back yesterday.

Good morning! Since my goal is to build muescle I will be cutting back on my cardio this roataion. I will be doing 30 minute HIIT on the treadmill this afternoon! Can't wait to try out my new treamill! :p

Did Step Blast for the first time today- loved it! I previewed it yesterday so I didn't get lost. It was so much fun! I think that is one of my favorite step workouts now.

I am nicely sore (both chest and back) so thanks Debbie! :) I have been doing all of those endurance rotations and it has been a while since I felt DOMS. It's a good feeling. :)

dizzy

I didn't get up early enough to do the whole Step Blast workout - so instead I did the premix with combo 1,2, & 3. I am a endomorph so I am trying to stay in the 35-40 minute range with cardio this month to see if I see any results.

I followed the cardio with the BM2 abs from yesterday that I also missed - I felt dizzy afterwards. I think I failed to cool down enough before jumping into the abs or something.

As much as I hate working out in the early AM before going to work - I feel so much better the rest of the day when I do. But because I was still half asleep when I started I did the cardio on a 6 inch step instead of the usual 8.

good stuff!:D

WOW! 3 pages of posts already? LOL I'll go back and read it just as soon as I stay accountable!

I was up early for Step Blast this morning! LOVE IT! DOMS in the chest and lower abs! Love that too!

Now.....off to read what you chatty bunch posted!

ETA ok...a few comments/replies

Debbie-my basement floor is cement with just a single layer of puzzle mats, and they're getting old and flat. I'm afraid it may be time to buy new ones. My PF is acting up now with all that impact, but I must admit....SB was worth it! LOL I like this workout and ones like it (all-step) because they make me feel graceful! :) I'm athletic and coordinated, but not at all graceful and I have NO rhythm! lol

Haydee-I almost bought that KCM step kickbox workout 3 times. How is it???

Feels great to get in my workout finally. It has been a rough couple of weeks not sticking to my workouts as planned. I am looking forward to trying to get it done this time around!!!

Hello to all the familar people out their! Glad that you all are doing great!

Debbie: All I can say is that your rotations are awesome! Thank you so much for all you do to contribute to this forum and website experience! I love all of Cathe's rotations as well and hope to be able to fit her new Dec rotation in next month when things get crazy at work. This is my busy season.

Take Care and have a great night!

Hi Everyone! Today is my scheduled rest day so starting tomorrow I will get to start in on the FUN! So, just remember, I'll always be a couple days late, story of my life. :p

Step Blast is one of my favorites, I just did it last week and I'm ready to do it again. Cathe is so much fun in that one.

I just completed SB, and it's 4:30 p.m. This is very late for me. I had to push myself to even get started because I am a morning person. But I did it Fitness Freak! I am ready for tomorrow!!

Hey everyone. I reposted because I posted today's workout on yesterday's check sorry about that. I will get the hang soon enough. Have a good night everyone.

Just completed this workout. It now 5:47 am. I struggled towards the end and just completely bombed out on the last cardio blast. I am glad I completed it though. Day 2 is down. I am off to shower and get ready for work now. Have a good day everyone. Hope your workouts go great.

Great job everybody! I love the energy this group brings every day!

I just realized that since tomorrow is Shoulders only (2 times, mind you, but still ONLY shoulders), wouldn't tomorrow be a good day to get in some 1RM tests???

Need advice from all of you, last nite while doing the wt work I realized the 10lbs are to light but I am afraid 15s will be to heavy and I can't find 12s should I stick with 10s or try the 15s?

From 10 to 15lbs?

Roxie - that seems like quite the jump in pounds. None of your local fitness stores carry the 12lbs? I can usually find the hex dumbells in 12lbs at like sports authority, or dunhams.

Roxie, what about weighted gloves or wrist/ankle weights??? Do you own any of those? I have a pair of 1.25 plate mates, but sometimes I like to use those AND my 1# weighted kickbox gloves. For instance, if 15 is too light but 20 too heavy, I like to hold the 15 with the 1.25 plate mate AND my 1# gloves for a total of 17.25. Before I owned the kickbox gloves I would wear my ankle weights on my wrists! :)

Roxie, something I like to do when uping my weight like that is do half of the reps with the heavier weight and then the other half with the lower weight. Before you know it, you will be doing all of the reps with the heavier weight. I did that when going from 15's to 20's in the GS series...and the same from 20's to 25's. Its a good route to take if you have no other options.

On another note...what is 1HRM?

DS wasn't going for a nap today so I ran outside for 50 mins or so. I was actually thinking about doing SB after I read how much fun everyone had. Oh well!:)

Hello Everyone,

Roxie, I've had the same problem. For some reason 12's are not easy to find in my area. I ended up buying bars, and I use weighted plates, which brings me up to about 13 Lb. When the exercises are not to clumbersome, I've also held a 10 lb. & 2 lb. weight to make it 12. That's not the most comfortable way to go, but I'll try anything to figure out what works for me, lol.

Well, here we are day 2 - Cardio. I love Cardio. Unfortunately, step workouts are my least favorite and I chose a workout new to me today, Kelley's Stepbox 2. All, I can say is, I got in about 45 minutes of cardio, lol. I have tons of step workouts, but really struggle with stepping. My favorite workout is Kickboxing.

Great job everyone, I need to get stepping like all of you :)

Hi all,

Checking in while watching Biggest Loser. Today I did shoulders and coreblast bosu and bench. Then went to plantet fitness with my sister and did 30 minutes eliptical and some pull ups and dips on the machine. I love that machine. ;)

Tomorrow is leg day.

I did not have the guts to attempt SB. I've never done it but for whatever reason, really felt that I "needed" it! I knew I would not get much in the way of a workout if I was trying to figure the moves out:rolleyes: Today I got a fierce headache but was not going to let that stand in my way. It is still with me but maybe not as bad. I knew that it was one that exercise would not make worse so I went for it. I had not yet done PP so I did that today. Didn't have my best results but here they are -
Challenge 1 - Bike
Challenge 2 - TM
Challenge 3 - Stepmill
Challenge 4 - Arc Trainer
Challenge 5 - TM
Challenge 6 (added challenge) - SM

Bike - 5 miles, TM - 1.75 miles, SM - 1.70 miles and 81 flights, Arc - .65 miles. Total calories - 819, 179 max HR, 151 Avg.

Just completed my workout for today on my new treadmill :D Did HIIT, stats are as follows:

Time:30 minutes; 5 w-up, 20 intervals (2 min run-1 min sprint), 5 c-down
Distance: 3 miles
Calories Burned: 346

Looking forward to doing shoulders tomorrow! Check ya all later!
