Favorite/least favorite core move

Curious as to what everyone likes & dislikes on core moves.
For me:
LOVE :D Torso Twists with a 10 lb weight
HATE :mad: Bicycles :mad:
 
Hate - Bicycles. They just aren't comfortable and I normally sub in something else. My back doesn't like them.

Favorite - I like the long lever ball exchange. It feels like it works everything

Tami, I also hate bicycles(get neck issues) along with plank work(get back issues) when you have to lift your leg.:( I have finally come to the realization that those exercises are just not for me. It took me awhile though.:confused:

I do like oblique work - especially the stuff from the intensity series.

I am also not to fond of planks because they tend to bother my shouder & I would rather save my shoulder for push ups. I always sub in v-sits or sometimes bananas.

LOVE: stability ball pikes, the move in BC where you kick one leg and crunch up with a med ball then alternate

I hate, hate, HATE pikes on the ball!! HATE em!!

I also hate hip lifts/rocket shoots. Yuck.

I love bicycles, planks, side planks, and the move from B&G abs where you lie on your back with your hands out to the side (in B&G Cathe has you place each hand under a dumbell) and bring both legs down to the side, back up, and then to the other side (works the obliques).

I hate old fashion crunches
I love all ab work using medicine balls, hand weights, DBs etc.

Gayle~ My hip clicks when I do long lever ab moves like bicycle, ball exchange, etc. and it really ticks me off. It doesn't hurt but feels like the hip bone is poping in/out of the hip socket. Does that make sense? My PT thought it might be that my hip flexors are over stretched and can't hold the bone/joint/socket in place. Funny thing is, if I turn my toes outward, the clicking stops. Weird :confused:

I hate rocket shoots...I love anything else.

I wanted to add that my left hip clicks during certain exercises too. Yes, it doesn't hurt but it's really weird and annoying
 
I love side twists with the medicine ball and the weird move in C&W where you are in a side plank (on your elbow) and you crunch down toward the floor to get at your obliques. I love that move! I like bicycles too.

I hate reverse crunches with added weight (I always feel like I'm going to drop it and nail myself in the head) and pikes on the ball. I HATE PIKES!

I like planks in general and the side twists with the med ball.

But in general I don't like ab work. I feel so tired by the end of a workout.
 
I think roll-outs with the stability ball, and roll-ins with the stability ball are my faves. Oblique crunches are my least faves.
 
I love any kind of oblique work, but my fave is the med ball wood chops in Core Max 3. They feel so good and I always feel like I could keep going all day! :D

I also love the long-lever ball exchange.

I cannot stand the reverse bicycles at the beginning of the abs work in 4DS LIS (the ones where Cathe says "Your wheels are gettin' crooked, girls!") My legs don't work that way, period. And my hip flexors scream at me!:mad:

Oh, Kathy, I was trying to think of ab work I don't like and I have to agree with you, I hate those reverse bicycles -- for some reason I feel like such a klutz, like my legs don't want to work that way!:confused:
 
i love any and all oblique work!

i have a body that refuses to cooperate for long lever ball exchange, pikes on the ball, and reverse bicycles.
