Edge Booty Extreme Vol 2

So my set arrived on Tuesday. Thank goodness I went to the mailbox as DH would kill me if he knew. He's on vacation this week and I have to wait until Monday to try them. I've been reading the guide book on the down low. Ahh, the guilt....and excitement. :)

gosh I remember hiding stuff when our marriage was young just to keep the peace now after 25 years he will sulk if he doesn't agree with a purchase but knows not to say a dang thing. My hobbies are cheap compared to his. He has a auto, motorcycles collection, goes to classic car shows and short tract races such a waste of money and space. I wish he could hide them

I only collect workout video and books. :D Yes a total nerd that married the motorcycle speed demon guy and actually thought he would out grow up. What was I thinking? o_O

Your secret is safe with us :D

Cafelatte, my husband and yours should get together. My husband still drives his muscle cars. Right now, he's driving his 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. He found the original 1970 paint, "plum crazy" and had it painted. No, they don't grow up.

haha! I so relate to you guys with the muscle car husbands. My hubby likes the Chevy's. He's got a 1969 Camaro that he restored. It's his baby! He knows not to say anything when he sees my workout collection expanding exponentially. He just grimaces a little and keeps on walking... :D ;)

Funny about the DHs and their vehicles -- I feel for you! I bought Edge Booty Extreme 2 today from Mary. Really appreciate you all bringing it to my attention and reviewing it. This is a great forum for new workouts. Can't wait to get this one. Sure looks tough!

I tried Weighted Legs this morning and really like the supersets. It didn't seem too tough while I was doing it, but I'm really sore tonight. There was no stretch at the end. Next time, I'll add on the extended STS stretch at the end. I do love Ingrid's personality, she's really positive and bubbly. Can't wait to try the rest out. :)

None of the workouts have stretch/cooldown. I wanted more of warmup also so I used the warmup and stretch from Cathe RWH legs workout. I then used warmup/stretch from other RWH for glute/upper body stuff.

got side track about cars but wanted to chime in regarding the workouts

Oh my goodness the pylo legs I was thinking it would be like cathe rwh you with weighted work then pylo work no no no on this pylo legs you hold weight during the pylo's o_O The upper body pack a lot in a short workout. I start off heavy and pyamid down

I'm 45 and working out with miss perky. Ingrid has a happy bubbly personality . I see that as part of youth look at cathe early early video compared to now. She has some phrases that repeats a lot but I'm working so hard I tune it out LOL something like mamma this or that. She also seems to get her rep count off so you need to count for yourself

I'm not trying to build a booty gosh I've had the bubble butt before "baby got back" and the current booty obsessed

I wanted a workout that pushed me but with some different moves than Cathe.

This set is slaying me. It seems harder than RWH but I'm sure that's because its so new to my body. I've done RWH enough now that the lower body circuit that use to kill me is now fun.( yes I said that :p)

The weighted leg kneeling squat is just evil. I'm gonna rate that is D*MN Hard. I only used 2 10lb weights and by the last set they were thrown down. I felt like a wimp. :(

I didn't really plan on doing the building phase and was going to use the set with 2 weighted and 2 pylo workouts a week like I did with RWH. I'm seeing that I need to build my muscle differently so I'll do the weighted for a few weeks. I've been humbled by miss bubble booty, bubble booby lady with the cute accent :D

Hi

Well I bought the set off Mary and may send it back. I did the upper body which was good, but the music is very demotivating for me. Music is quite a motivator for me thats one of the reasons I love Cathe. Also I'm not sure I can get used to Ingrid saying 'momma' amd 'thats it' over and over.

The exercises themselves look good. However, wouldn't four sets of any exercise be a killer workout? In the past I've done Cathes Supersets premix where she does three sets of each round. I really liked that.

To be honest I think I just got caught up in all the hype of a new set and I should have waited a bit longer. But thats my opinion. I'm glad that most people love it and I hope everybody gets fabulous results. I think I will just start a second round of STS in September.

Thanks for posting, Laura. My sister bought this set, and gave it to me to preview. It's the same music every workout, not motivating at all. Ingrid drives me nuts. She's running around, shouting at people, too much nervous energy. She can't keep count. She's shouting at the ladies to keep good form, while hers sucks, and she never finishes the last rep.
The workouts themselves look very good, but I just can't get past Ingrid. Everyone is Momma to her. There is also another Ingrid in one of the disks. She looks like she is going to faint, by the end of the workout.
Some of the women in this series, look like they're going to fall out of their tops. Evidently you have to have breast enhancement surgery to be in this video. Which is not a big deal to me, I was just expecting a wardrobe malfunction any minute. Don't think I will be buying this. If I feel a need, I will use my sister's set. I'm glad that most of you are enjoying it.

I almost jumped on the bandwagon but decided to wait and now I am glad I did. Thank you for saving me some bucks. I hate having to return stuff to Mary. I have only done it once and felt so guilty. Now I cant even remember what I returned.

I never even listen to the music just went to music off and play my own stuff.

The leg workouts are what makes this different. The 4 sets give it push but its having hip thrust, glute bridge, kneeling squat all in one workout makes harder. I would feel burned out with just 3 set its that tough. I do the gym version offered so that's my review. I don't think the home version would be anything great. I really like the workout and just like with cathe after watching along with it a few times. I usually just go by my weight sheet and do it myself. The upper body workouts hit everything in a short amount of time but I want us them as often as the leg stuff.

Ingrid is not as professional as cathe and I really wasn't expecting that level. I just wanted something different kwim. Ingrid is not a trainer she just competes. I believe her husband is the trainer and designed the program.

as for Ingrid boobs and skimpy stuff don't bother me I've been seeing naked people all shapes and sizes for 25 years ;) I just don't care about that stuff.

Reminds me of a vacation to maui 15 years ago. We went on a hike and at one of the inland fall everyone was jumping in naked. My dh was all bug eyed and enjoying the show until a very older lady stripped. The younger men all jumped out  and left.

I did like she talk about muscle and seeing veins. She has a good attitude and message.

I agree with Cafelatte... It's really the leg workouts that make this set truly special and unique. It would be misleading to judge this set after only doing one of the upper body workouts. I like them and feel like they accomplish a lot in the short time she devotes to upper body, but the focus of this set is in the glutes and lower body. That is where it shines. I do Cathe lower body all the time normally but it doesn't challenge me the way these workouts do. HTH! :)

Honestly Phyllis, I don't think these workouts would be your cup of tea, based on your previous posts. I know you didn't like STS or heavy weights for lower body and these workouts are really all about muscle hypertrophy. Unless your tastes have changed I would save your money. :) HTH

You have constructively and beautifully expressed your opinion;);):)
Hypertrophy is my cup of tea (others would quote "it is their thing").
I enjoy hypertrophy program and it perfectly meet what I am looking to gain for my
health (mental and physical) and aesthetic :):)
