Eating everything in sight

FourAM

Cathlete
Well girls its that time again...How come when you feel like you have strived to be your best all month long, here comes that 3 or 4 days that you just seem to quit stuffing your face. I mean here I set after shoveling in half the refrigerator and I still am not satisfied. Granted I tried to make healthy decisions but how healthy is it when you are as bloated as you can be and all you can think about is "Is there anything salty in there?"

Why is it that in the few days before your period you can workout so hard and feel great but you also have the appetite of a bear.? Oh well in a few days it will be over and so will the guilt...:D
Thanks for listening

honestly i don't know how to beat it LOL. i have eating issues anyway and that just throws me over the top. i try to keep busy and drinking water so i won't think about food. i also go ahead and add something to my day . crunch and salty are my thing so some cucumber slices with a little sea salt sprinkled on usually tide me over. i may also have wheat crackers with some cheese and lean turkey or ham. also add an extra protein shake or yogurt mixed with protein powder.

I've read that you burn more calories in the days before TTOM, so I think (hope) that is nature's way of balancing out the hunger we feel then.

OH boy fourAM...I can so relate...but luckily...I only have that issue quarterly...and it's that quarter right now...I try so hard to be good...but...

Today was a bad day...and no one helped out...but at least I shared my junk with my friend..

try eating a bunch of "healthy" snacks like the tiny quaker rice cakes with cheese on them. they come in those 90 cal bags. mmm... or I just tried these awesome snap sweet peas in a baggie in the produce dept and they are sooo addictive. So much so I was eating half a bag and by dinner I was barely hungry. I'd say also keep junk food out of the house. If it isn't there you wont eat it. if you MUST have a splurge just do it and get it overwith. (don't overdue it though) Hopefully it will satisfy your craving instead of continually eating small unsatisfying stuff all day. It may do less damage in the long run. then move on. I don't find I have a splurge issue TTOTM but just on random days. Those are things I try to do.

Having an official Cheat Day every week helps me. I'd snap if I had to wait 3 or 4 weeks before I could treat myself.

It has reached the point where even my Cheat Days are mild. I still eat what I want and forgo counting or measuring, but I find I don't stuff myself like I thought I would. Plus knowing another Cheat Day is only 6 days away makes it easier to behave the rest of the week.

You have so read my mind FourAm, ms flo arrived yesterday and I can't stop searching the cabinets/fridge for something sweet to eat. Unfortunately for me someone at work gave me these miniture pies one cherry other pecan. I brought them both home, of course one for each daughter, but neither daughter saw the pies. OH I felt so guilty. Well at least I threw away half the pecan before my eating phase began. There has to be a way to beat this.

This happens to me too! Don´t have much to add except that sometimes none of the best advice in the world helps . Just get back at the good eating ASAP and most likely there is no permanent damage done!

I have some index card that I have put diffrent little jobs on. Like cleaning out a certin cupboard or shelf or scrub something, things like that. You know stuff that isn't part of my normal everyday house work. When I get those munchies I pull one out. Keeps me busy for 15 or 20 mins. By the time I'm done the moment usually has passed. Not always but at least I try.
take care
Christie

Thanks for the advice

Everything is so encouraging. This is the first time that I feel like I have a place to really put my frustration and that I know there will be someone out there or now I see more than someone who is going through the some thing. It is so nice:rolleyes:
