I think I've read all of Marian Keyes books and my favorite was Angels.

Right now I'm reading Echo in the Bone and listening to Barbara Kingsolver's latest, Lacuna, in the car. The Kingsolver is giving me little giddy fits of happiness...it's that good.

The girl with the dragon tattoo.. what a great title. I may have to check this out. I'm currently trying to catch up with my 8 year old who is reading the Harry Potter books. I'm still on the first one. He's on the third. I'm about to give up. But I do love it!
 
I am still obsessed with Ken Follett books and I am enjoying reading "Jackdaws" right now. I actually was thinking a couple of weeks ago of venturing off to a new writer and checking out The Girl With Dragon Tattoo , I will have to give it a go!
 
Sounds like I am going to have to add "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" to my book list. It will be a stretch from my normal Robin Cook collection. ;)

We hired this author to come to our school and talk about his writing and books. He put on an awesome assembly for the kids. I had to read the books first to make sure they were appropriate for my boys. They are awesomely funny to an 8 year old boy---------and his mom!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

What I really want to read this weekenmd is " A Tree Grows in Brooklyn"

Yup, "Tree Grows in Brooklyn" is a wonderful novel.

Also, last night I started "A quiet belief in Angels" by R.J. Ellory, a mystery novel of uncanny extraordinariness. All I can say is"wow!"

Currently reading "Penguin Book of Hebrew Verse", "Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales", and "Folk Wisdom of Mexico: Proverbios y Dichos Mexicanos". I'm not disciplined enough to stick to one book. :D
 
Wow. I have a list I'm reading.

After the big rave I jumped on the Twilight wagon and am getting ready to start book 4. All i can say is Fabulous!

I am on Book 4 of the Rackley series by Gregg Hurwitz.

Next book in The Missing Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix made sure it was a good read for my 10 year old niece was good. Found was first Sent is next then new third one coming.

Waiting for The Bishop by Stephen James book 4 in the Bowers Files. Awesome

J.A. Konrath book 2 in the Jack Daniels Series. Awesome

Dear John was great by Nicholas Sparks.

Geez my list goes on and on I have an entire binder of books I am collecting and take back to Mi for myself, mom and sister.

I get them at the library I volunteer at in their bookstore. They are all strictly donations and they sell them for 1.50, including hardcovers. There is even a .25 and .50 cent section. Can't beat that.

We have over 2,000 books.

There is a Walsh Family Series by Marian Keyes. There are 4 books First one is Watermelon. Second one is Rachel's Holiday. Third one is Angels. Fourth one is Anybody Out There.

If anybody would like a tip on books I live on Fantastic Fiction. Its a website for authors and their books. You can search for your author and it will tell you the series or if they are novels, I call them stand alones which basically you can read in any order. It is a Fantastic site. They have a search for new books coming out, New authors and Series.

Check it out let me know what you all think. I have been passing this along to the customers at the library you would be suprised how many people read books and don't know they are part of a series. So this site is awesome.

I do love to read though but with my little guys - I am constantly shelving books because I just don't have the time.

LOVE book threads!

I am currently reading "Saving Fish From Drowning" by Amy Tan. I am really liking it. I had never read her before, but picked it up in hardcover for $5 at B&N.

Next on my list is "The Choice" by Nicholas Sparks. I love bargain books!
 
Oh, Robin, I'm glad you're enjoying the Steig Larsson book! I'm about half way through The Girl Who Played With Fire and I was horrified to read that that the third in the trilogy won't be published here until May 25! I checked on Amazon.uk and found that I can order it for what totals after shipping and currency conversion to about 26USD. I hate the idea of going back to a paper book after getting so used to my Kindle, but with this book I'm willing to break every rule just to get it into my hot little hands!

And by the way, as good as Dragon Tatoo is, Played With Fire is better and the last one promises to be the best of all!

Thanks Beth! That site is very helpful. I usually go to Barnes and Nobel's website which will tell you if it is part of a series and the name of the series as well. However, I cannot figure out how to get i to list in order, so the Fantastic Fiction site is great.

Nancy, I've heard Played with Fire is even better and can't wait to read it. I put a hold on it at the library. I didn't realize the third hadn't been released yet! I hate to wait.

I started Lolita this weekend. (Yes, Lainie) It's much more readable then I expected. Disturbing how you kind of like Humbert, the perv. I'm having a hard time putting it down too.
 
Lolita is quite a book. There have been a few movie versions, but the one with Jeremy Irons and Frank Langella is superb. Generally, I don't like seeing a movie when I've read the book, but that movie is an exception.
 
Nancy, I'm not sure I could stomach seeing Lolita on the large screen. It's disturbing enough imagining it. But my goodness, how erotic without using any graphic or 4 letter words!
 
I'm reading Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell.
I'm almost finished with Paris.
I'm a book on CD fiend too. I'm listening to Agetha Christie's The Big Four.
