Damage Control July :)

Happy Friday ladies!

TTM done and I am ready to get started on chores and errands before the weekend hits.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi Ladies,

I did a 1 mile open water swim today! I did it in chunks of 1/4 miles. I tried out my new wetsuit and it worked well for me.

I'm feeling hungover this afternoon, thinking it's due to my new work schedule. Going from getting up at 6:30 to getting up at 5:15 is a lot. This next week my goal is to get up at 5am, the following week will be 4:45.

I hope to either run at least 3 miles sometime today...when it cools down or do some UB weights.

Jacque-hope you are enjoying the garlic festival!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi All!!

Sorry I've been MIA. Tuesday I was so sore that I took the day off. Wednesday I did intensity premix low impact HiiT and boot camp 30/40 min I forget, Thursday I did 14 min of STS Total body upper, Friday we went to Hershey park with all but Little K. It was B's bday so he brought a friend. I packed all our food so the only bad thing I was soft serve chocolate and vanilla twist with chocolate dip. But I did a ton of walking. Yesterday I was too tired and busy getting the older two ready for adventure camp which is overnight in the Poconos all week with our church. Today we didn't get home from church, food shopping, and dropping the older 2 off. And we did nothing today. I took a nap and played on my iPad. I woke up to that time off the month and major cramps to go with it. So you took 3 Advil before church and that helped a lot. I've been really emotional the last few days so I really hope my endometriosis isn't coming back!

I'm not sure what a workout will look like for me tomorrow and this week. I feel like I should do supper intense stuff like maybe starting out with AB tomorrow. But i'm feeling so unmotivated.

And I also have so much school prep to do. The school room is still a wreck, I haven't even put away last year schoolwork completely. And I have to double-check to make sure I have everything for next year, especially since I just found out for Little K's pre-K home school class I may need some stuff for that that I know I don't have. Feeling overwhelmed! School starts in four weeks!! Thankfully my cousin with seven home school kids are coming over on Tuesday to help teardown the school room. She may only be bringing the two girls to help watch Little K.

So I've been doing another 21 days fit challenge with a BB coach doing Cathe's workouts of course! And since I've been he only one keeping track of my points I won a work out! Of course the ones she's offering I don't really know much about so that's where you guys need to help me! :) first one is a combo of slim in six and hip-hop abs. The other one is Les Mills combat. The combat one seems okay but it's a lot of martial arts which I'm not a huge fan of. Anything by Sean T does interest me and he does the hip-hop abs but the slim in 6, 6 weeks that is, seems like it could be a waste compared all the Cathe workouts I have. What you all think??

Hi Ladies,

Today was a 5 mile run and PUB! Not yet ready for another week of long commuting. UGH... I do have my meals prepared for tomorrow though. As long as I pack my lunch the night before, the morning isn't too bad.

I'm going to set my alarm for 5am this week and see what I can do. I need to familiarize myself with the shorter premixes. I've picked out a BR leg w/o for tomorrow that is 45 minutes long.

LL-You are a busy bee for sure! I love the Combat series. If you like kickboxing, then I think you'd like Combat. It has some short but tough w/o's in it. Personally, I'm not a fan of slim series at all. Wendy can attest to how much I dislike it.:p It is very light weight and high rep, if that's your thing then you may like it. Good job keeping track of your food! I haven't been doing that, but my weight is down 2#'s. I need to find a new WW location and time to weigh in.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I'll check in again when I can.

Rmrmr, that's so great that you ran 5 miles AND did PUB! That is really the only older workout I like anymore. Most are 2010 and newer that I use. I was down 3# at my WW meeting last week! I did go in the morning, so that was probably most of it. But I ate 106 semisweet chocolate chips tonight! Hopefully I can get some good workouts in the next few days and not gain this week!

MON

Hey Ladies ..

started back on my workouts - Pi-yo only - LOVING those workouts - she LOVES her some tricep pushups .. yikes! I am going to try to go to the CC at lunch and ATTEMPT heavy weights ... then tonight ATTEMPT a Z-gym workout!

Jacque - unfortunately I cant run or hide from this stress - :( - wish I could b/c I would be fittest human on earth - i would run run run!!! it is personal stress (uncalled for event that has been drawn out) and the added work stress dont help it - I finally got some good food in me this weekend - feeling a bit better - but this morning it just starts all over again - DH has to have stress test tmrw (being having spikes in BP and scary symptoms due to this BS in our lives) - so I will be back at hospital hoping and praying everything turns out ok - hell they prbly should check me out too ... ..

Wendy - dont envy you having to pack and clean getting ready to move .. yikes!!

Di - 5 miles and PUB .. wow .... WTG!!! great workout!

LL -I LOVE COMBAT - that is one of my favs ... but it is a mix of real kickboxing - the music and instructors are very motivating! SeanT - T-25 is my favorite too!

Hello to all that follow!

OK .. got to get back to the stack of paperwork on my desk .. have a great one!

Got back from the gym a short while ago. I did a nice thorough warm up that included 10 alternating get ups. By the time I finished that I was already sweating. They are way too stingey with the a/c in that place! But anyway, I digress....then I did 16@20/40 of Dead Split Stance Squats, Renegade Rows, Squat with Shoulder Press and One Arm DB Rows. After that came 8@10/20 of double wave ropes and one arm kb swings. Last but not least I hopped on the tm....5 min walk....20 mins of low intensity run/walk intervals...5 min cool down....DONE! :)

This weekend was 100 miles of riding. We were planning on doing 110, but we got caught out in a down pour. This morning was M2D19, same as last Monday. I just added an extra 1/2lbs into my gloves to make it a little more challenging. I added on CSS, which I hadn't done in ages. Love that short workout!! :)

Diana, way to go on the weigh in and workouts. Are you considering moving closer to your new job? Sounds tough to get up so early! I used to do late evening workouts and loved it. It took forever for me to switch to early mornings.

LL, I'm starting to get excited to restart schooling again this year. I love (re)learning along side of DS! I don't know how you do more than one child though! :) Great job on your weigh in! :)

Wendy, I wish I was moving. I'd love to heave hoe most of the stuff in my house.

GTR, BBL :)

Hi Ladies,

So I set my alarm for 5am and got up! I did BR Day 12 (leg focused) since it was only 45 minutes. I skipped day 11 since it's an hour. I may try to get up a bit earlier and do that one tomorrow. Otherwise, I will look for a 30-45 min w/o.

It is so boring at work. They haven't given me anything to do. UGH:mad: They also mentioned that there is No Expectation of Privacy. I'm not sure what websites are acceptable. I peruse the news every morning though. Hopefully they will give me some work soon. Also, almost everyone works from home on Tuesday/Thursday...those are very long days for me as there isn't even anyone to talk to.

Tina-Wow, that is a ton of miles. I don't think my bum and lady parts would be able to handle that. A new seat with the cut out would definitely help. I'll have to keep CSS in mind for a shorter w/o day, that is cardio super sets-right? It's possible we could move closer, it's way too soon to make that drastic of a decision.

Wendy-nice w/o girl. Do you just make these up on the fly, or are they pre-planned? My rec ctr rocks the AC in the cardio rooms, it's awesome!

Laura-glad you are back! Take your time easing into the workouts, you don't want a set back.

Quick update: Afterburn completed by 9:30am!I'm thinking about doing LIS TBT upper body tomorrow or maybe lower.

Poochy, is the piyo Charlene Johnson?.

Fembot, yes I'm getting excited but nervous for the new school year!!

Gotta get to bed!

Hey there Ladies !

The weekend went by quickly with no workouts. Planned on doing something Sun. but ended up doing gardening instead. That was at least a few calories in the almost 100' weather.

This AM was GS chest & back - supersets premix. Can't do many push ups these day with shoulder grinding & cracking and a bad lower back. That premix pretty much skipped all the pushups so worked well for me.

Diana - ITA on a great job with the workouts this weekend! And way to go getting up early today to get your w/o done. I know it is hard to readjust. Until I began workouts again I didn't have a hard time waking up but now I sleep right up until the alarm goes off. As long as I don't piddle much (watch the news or snuggle with pup) I am good for at least 45 minutes if I can make up my mind on what workout to do. :p Think I will start a rotation for August so I don't have to make mine up as I go. Works better for me. Hope work gets better for you. I push hard to get our managers to set up a training plan AHEAD of time or it just does not happen easily. Nice job losing a couple #'s!

LL -Well you sure are staying busy. I tend to forget what it is like when kids are not in school. And I only had three ! Sorry about your bad TTM but guess it will get better soon. You are keeping busy and even if you are just moving, it is all good! Congrats on the BB challenge - I have HHA and it is not hard but if you concentrate on your abs mine got sore. However, I was not really fit. It was a slight sweat fest on the first round but a little better on round 2 if that is the freebie you would get. It is a bit "dancy" if you like that sort of thing. Way to go on the 3#! LOL you counted 106 chocolate chips! :p

Laura - Good to hear you are slowing back to w/o's. Make sure to take it easy. Bummer about the personal 5h!t you and DH are dealing with. I got a perfect FB post on worrying recently - will try to pass it on . . . Sometimes you just have to get through it. Hopefully you and DH can lean on each other and put it behind you soon. <crossing fingers> his testing comes out good.

Wendy - Gotta know what "16@20/40" means . . . nice job on the wo. How much total time was that? Hope your packing and tossing is going well . . . ITA with Tina - been in our place 14 years and have not "purged" since then! Need to for sure!

Tina - we have had very humid weather too, especially for Calif. Can't believe it has rained a couple times in July! Where are you and it that common? Great job on the long ride . . . how many miles are you shooting for this year? ITA nothing better than relearning as children get educated. Loved "working" in the classroom and library when mine were in elementary school.

Tomorrow will be cardio - LL has me thinking about Afterburn now! :D

Until tomorrow . . .

Today's work out::
16@20/40::lateral band walks, mod pull ups, walking lunges, perfect p/u push ups.
8@15/15::kb swing right, kb swing left, bear crawl, burpee.
8@15/15::jumping lunges, plank to push ups.
8@15/15::rear box step off, lateral box step off.
8@15/15::squat jumps, ice skaters.

FYI: 16=16 rounds....20=20 seconds rest....40=40 seconds work. Likewise, 8=8 rounds...15=15 seconds rest....15=15 seconds work. :)

Hello ladies !

Time for a quick break from the legalese crapola we have to deal with here in the "United States of California".. Human Resources compliance is totally sucky!

This morning I did Afterburn, 8 rounds. That was all I could eek out until my legs and core started giving out, or giving in to bad posture I suppose. I was exhausted and realize I had better put this on the list to help get in shape these next two months!

Wendy - wowsers, those are totally crazy workouts you are doing. So for 16 times you do 40 sec work, 20 sec rest of each excercise listed and then move on? So for the first group it is 16 minutes times 4 excersies = 64 minutes? then you move on to the next group of exercises? So how long did this take you? (Hope I am not missing something here . . .).

Hey to the rest of you ! So happy tomorrow is Hump Day - this week needs to be over already !

Jacque:: No, you crazy girl! LOL It's a 16 minute work out not a 64 minute workout! LOL You do 40 secs of the first exercise, rest for 20 secs, do 40 seconds of the second exercise, etc until you do all 4 exercises (4 mins), and then you go through that circuit 3 more times (4 mins x 4 = 16). Got it now? :p

Hi Ladies,

Thins morning was BR Day 11. I'm trying to decide to what to do tomorrow morning. Perhaps 1 bodypart and a short cardio. Going to check out some premixes and have a plan for tomorrow.

Today was a much better day at work. I've been so bored the entire last week. This week I got to hear more about what I will be working on and how things work at my new company.

Jacque-I'm so looking forward to our RT! It's only been just over a week at my new place and I'm dreaming of a beach vacation. Gardening is exercise to yah know...especially in your heat.

Wendy-Nice w/o....again! You are awesome.

Hi LL, Laura & Tina....bbl

Yesterday I did 19 min premix of LIS TBT upper body. I'm really sore today from Monday's afterburn, I may decide not make today a rest day. I spent 8 hours cleaning out my school room, moving furniture and books. So I'm really spent today.

Hi to all that follow!

Just finished my work out (still sweating)!

I did my usual style warm up, then 10 TGU's and then this from Z Gym::

  • 20 Kettlebell Swings
  • 10 1-Leg Dead Lifts (each side)
  • 20 Kettlebell Swings
  • 20 Pass Under Curtsy Lunges
  • 20 Kettlebell Swings

Hi girls!

Checking in while under the dryer at my GF's who is doing my highlights so excuse any typos!

This AM was GS BSB. Made it through as I actually got up after just one "snooze"!

Heading out of town to another work sir. Few hits away for the day so think I'll do HiiT tomorrow so I can hit the road a little earlier than usual.

BBL or tomorrow for personals depending. Except Diana. I'm excited for the RT too!

THURS

Hello Ladies -

RUFF WEEK AGAIN! - spent all day TUE in hospital w/DH - having tests - good news is his heart is ok .. no blockages or abnormalties .. BUT BP problems and symtoms are all STRESS related .. so he needs to find some way to calm down ... but under the circumstances I dont see that happening for either one of us - I am trying to get him to exercise but he is always working or busy! :(

I didnt get to exercise TUE - but yesterday I did Z-gym KB workout (13 min) and summer time ab challenge (15 min) (plus warm up and cool down +8 minutes).. but man it was tuff - DOMS: butt, inner thigh, tris, and back! eeeouch! Today going to try to get to CC at lunch and do heavy weights and tonight will be Pi-Yo core :)

Jacque - great workouts .. when is the roadtrip .. ya'll have fun!!

Wendy - OK .. writing that workout down - that looks awesome and right up my alley!!!

Di - glad work is picking up for you ... imagine learning a new company and how it works after a leaving a company you have worked for forever has got to be both interesting and intimidating! have fun!

OK .. better run .. have a great one!

Hi all!

Poochy, sorry to hear your hubby needs more tests! Hope he finds a way to calm down. My father in law just had another (1st one went in just after thanksgiving) stent put in Monday and at while my mother in law we waiting or m her vertigo decided to comeback with a vengeance.

I still haven't gotten the new DVDs or cathe on demand....

Yesterday was a planned rest day since I was sore but I ended up going for a short 11 min bike ride with the kids. :)

Today I hope to do LIS TST Lower, but my days is getting away from me. Oil change on the car in the morning 2 hrs, I have to finalize my classes for the kids before the mail goes out and I would like to go to the pool this afternoon. So a slow day,it's nice!
