Damage Control July :)

Hi Ladies,

Well getting up at 5am is going okay (not that I like it). Next week the alarm with be set for 4:45am. 4:30 is ideal, but not sure that's will happen.

This morning I did Cardio Core Circuit. This is the first week of the HM training program and I should be running 3 miles on T-Th, and 4 miles on Saturday. We had pouring rain the last 2 nights...no running. Tonight I'm going to try to get to a WW meeting near my house...if I can get there in time.

Wendy-My backside definitely needs some work! Thanks for posting and Nice Job!!! Training for 3 cardio events doesn't leave much time for weights. I hear STS calling me in the near future.

Laura-sorry to hear about DH. Your health and DH's health is what's important, time to dump the stress...whatever is causing it, it's not worth it. PERIOD. The benefits here are different. We accrue 30 Paid Time Off days per year which includes 7 holidays and the days between Christmas and New Years. These 30 day also include sick time...and you have to accrue your Holdiay Pay.

Jacque-I purposely don't schedule rest days just in case I need to leave early, wake up late etc. I try to make sure I always workout on the weekends since I have more time. It's good to be flexible.

LL-I'm exhausted just reading what you have to do everyday.:) I can tell you that it does get easier. Chasing kids around all day is also activity...

Tina-waving hello

Hello Ladies.

Today I did this with some changes shown in parentheses::

Lifted Butt Series Workout # 2: Breakdown: 2 ROUNDS for time

  • 10 Forward/Backward Lunch (each) (Z doesn't use a weight. I used a 20#DB held goblet style)
  • 20 Side-to-Side Hop Squats (I did not hop but used bands on my ankles and above knees and did resisted lateral squats)
  • 20 Butt Lifts / 1-Leg Lifts (I did a 60 second floor bridge instead)
  • 20 Curtsy Lunge Leg Lifts (each) (Z doesn't use a weight. I did slider reverse lunges with a 20# DB.)
  • 20 Plank Jacks
  • 4X Burpee + 5 Sumo Squat Jumps (I did 5 burpees and 5 squat jumps x 2 rounds)
  • 20 Mini Sumo Squats (I did 40 mini squats)
and followed it up with P90X3 CVX. YIKES! Whooped my butt good!

Hi all-

Just finished LIS TBT lower body. Not the toughest of workouts, some exercises were really tough, but I couldn't do the step ups since Little K kept on jumping on me!

Fit_Mommy- Those workouts you do sound amazing! How long did today's take and how long on average? I wonder if some of those burpees and mountain climbers help with abs and buns more than others? Do you plan out your workouts, or just do what you feel like doing that day? I have found that rotations make me feel "behind" and I don't like that feeling. I have decided to just alternate cardio and heavy wts and do what I have time and energy for. Today I procrastinated and really didn't want to workout at all! But even though it was a shorter less intense wo, I'm glad I did it!

I still haven't decided on BB Piyo yet...leaning towards no...

Hello Ladies! :) Been busy racking up miles and STS this week. I squeaked in a 12 mile bike ride this morning, which gave me 2201 miles for the year so far. I finished off with an STS workout, just in case it rains on Saturday and we can't ride, then I can do MM with DH, if we're house bound. Actually, the weekend doesn't really look very good at all. The good news is my sister is going to have a baby any day now, so there's excitement in the air. :)

Everyone is having a great workout week! The motivation is contagious!

DS is breathing down my neck for the computer. BBL. :D

LL:: Yesterday's work out probably took an hour total. I have never been good at sticking to a rotation. I try and try but usually fail. I did, however, complete a full 6 month rotation of STS a few years ago! I was beyond amazed with myself!:p I also completed the original P90X rotation many moons ago and fell 2 weeks short of finishing Chalean Extreme b/c I was struck down with a sinus infection from hell that wouldn't go away! I think I also finished Insanity once as well. Seeing the pattern here that if I DO finish a rotation, that rotation is not likely to EVER be finished again! LOL That being said, I tend to start out with a rotation plan and at some point it deteriorates into something else weather it be a different rotation or just doing whatever the heck I feel like! LOL When I don't feel like working out, I find that if I push myself to do it, I too am very glad I did it when it's over. Great job!:)

Tina:: We aren't supposed to have a great weekend weather-wise either. Bummer. :( How exciting about your sister! Keep us posted!:D

Di:: You are getting up at 5am to work out?? NICE! Good girl, doing what you have to do! That's the key! Trust me - I wasn't getting up at 5am to work out because it was FUN!:p

Laura:: Sending good vibes for DH's medical issues! Tell him to play with the dogs. It's probably the best stress reducer he can find! Except for exercise of course!;)

Jacque:: So how beautiful is your hair? :) Nice job on GS BSB!
