Hey Debbie - Unfortunately, there are a few posters who occasionally call out newer members as "trolls" if they post something that goes against the grain.
Please feel free to post anything!
Awe, . . man where's the love??? I'm sending huggs to EVERYONE just to break the ice.
Just my 2 cents worth.
I totally don't find this offensive. "If you can't feed your kids - don't breed anymore and expect me to pay for it.And don't get a pet if you can't afford the proper care either!"
Judge Judy says this all the time on her show, . . and I'd have to agree. I love Judge Judy!
Republican, conservative, Jesus freak, . . . and a fellow Cathelite who thinks that Cathe is the greatest!
Oh please. That's just pure BS. If you're referring to me Gayle, and I assume you are after your last very literate and sophisticated post to me, you are completely missing my point. But, again, after reading your last post to me I'm guessing you're not exactly an intellectual so I'm not at all surprised.
Bugger off LM
I'm just sorry that children singing about hope and peace, be it for a religious or political cause are considered creepy. What a sad world we live in.
I think it's sad that people think children should be left out of politics. I think they should learn about politics at an early age.
I've already pointed out Obama to my 5 year old and told her "he's going to be our next president" (fingers crossed).
any pets . .
Oh - sorry LM - I did post that I did muscles max today. What time do I report tomorrow.
I don't necessarily mind if children know what is going on in the world. I think they should be shown all sides of a situation though. My DD is 10 and DS is 8. DD wants McCain and DS wants Obama. I am very open with them about what is going on and don't try to sway them one way or the other (obviously!). Unfortunately, because they are on opposite sides, "discussions" at my house break down rather quickly! I try to show them that there is no right or wrong opinion. They are each entitled to theirs and to be respectful when discussing. Now, I TRY that...it usually turns into something like this:
DS: I want Obama because he is going to end the war in Iraq.
DD: No he isn't. I want McCain because he has more experience and Sarah Palin is a woman.
DS: So you want our soldiers to die?
DD: That isn't what I said.
DS: Uh-huh!
DD: Unh-Uh!
*Insert tears and yelling incoherently at this point.*
Carrie
I don't know. Are you on EST?
Oh wait, I was supposed to "bugger off," now you're addressing me directly.........I am so confused!
