Creepy?

Another refresher

Hmmm well I guess what I expect is civility & respect. Baylian, in case you're not familiar, please log on to www.websters.com. Being an "adamant conservative Republican" is no excuse for this childish, in your face behavior. There's a time & a place for everything & this ain't it.

The signature is disgusting and I'm pretty sure is intended to offend. Unless s/he's directing it at a specific forum member, but I'm not sure how s/he would know there are forum members who can't afford children or pets.

I find it rather interesting that Baylian signed on in the midst of election season and the vast majority of her posts have been about the election, not about fitness. Baylian please correct me if I'm wrong. Certainly I'd feel a lot better about your presence here if you could, say, tell me what your favorite Cathe DVD is, or your favorite Cathe move, or which w/o you think is the toughest or easiest...........

I didn't tell him/her s/he was a man. I'm simply stating that I don't know. It's not intended as an insult. And I never mentioned "troll" but hey, if the shoe fits............

Hey Debbie - Unfortunately, there are a few posters who occasionally call out newer members as "trolls" if they post something that goes against the grain.

Please feel free to post anything! :)

Oh please. That's just pure BS. If you're referring to me Gayle, and I assume you are after your last very literate and sophisticated post to me, you are completely missing my point. But, again, after reading your last post to me I'm guessing you're not exactly an intellectual so I'm not at all surprised.

Awe, . . man where's the love??? I'm sending huggs to EVERYONE just to break the ice.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I totally don't find this offensive. "If you can't feed your kids - don't breed anymore and expect me to pay for it.And don't get a pet if you can't afford the proper care either!"
Judge Judy says this all the time on her show, . . and I'd have to agree. I love Judge Judy!

Republican, conservative, Jesus freak, . . . and a fellow Cathelite who thinks that Cathe is the greatest!

Where's the love - Tony Horton says that on one of his workouts and makes me laugh every time!

Nope...wasn't even referring to you.

As for the rest...whatevah...

Still not getting your point Baylian. Both of those posts are about the fact that you're on a fitness forum yet don't seem to be very interested in fitness.

Once again (boy, you sure do need lots of repetition, don't you?) I do not care how many posts you have. You'd be a lot more legit from my perspective if you had only 10 FITNESS RELATED posts, than if you had 5000 political posts.

Get it now?

I changed

my avatar - not my signature.

That is my son running in for a TD! Yes - that was a bragging moment. Anyone else wants to brag about their kids or dogs - feel free. Even the newbies!!!

To LauraMax

Just to clarify - it was not you who mentioned anything about "newbie posters" or "low number of posts" - that came from another person.

any pets . .

Oh - sorry LM - I did post that I did muscles max today. What time do I report tomorrow.

I think it's sad that people think children should be left out of politics. I think they should learn about politics at an early age.

I've already pointed out Obama to my 5 year old and told her "he's going to be our next president" (fingers crossed).

I don't necessarily mind if children know what is going on in the world. I think they should be shown all sides of a situation though. My DD is 10 and DS is 8. DD wants McCain and DS wants Obama. I am very open with them about what is going on and don't try to sway them one way or the other (obviously!). Unfortunately, because they are on opposite sides, "discussions" at my house break down rather quickly! I try to show them that there is no right or wrong opinion. They are each entitled to theirs and to be respectful when discussing. Now, I TRY that...it usually turns into something like this:

DS: I want Obama because he is going to end the war in Iraq.
DD: No he isn't. I want McCain because he has more experience and Sarah Palin is a woman.
DS: So you want our soldiers to die?
DD: That isn't what I said.
DS: Uh-huh!
DD: Unh-Uh!
*Insert tears and yelling incoherently at this point.*

Thanks Debbie, I appreciate the clarification. I am guilty of many things, but disliking someone for being a "newbie" isn't one of them. :)

I don't know. Are you on EST?

Oh wait, I was supposed to "bugger off," now you're addressing me directly.........I am so confused! :D

*Giggles* Sounds like every political debate I have heard in the past few elections...

Ok about Baylian's signature line. What is offensive about it? Most of the time I don't even read the sig lines and I don't have one because I have no idea how to make one nor do I care to take the time to learn. I have children to raise, workouts to do, and a house to run. The one I do find offensive is not what it says so much as that it is written huge and makes me have to scroll more often to get to the actual posts.

As a mom of two I know that it is difficult and expensive to have and raise children. My husband and I make sure that our children's needs are met before our own. Why should I have to pay for kids that are not mine?

I get very upset when I read about kids being neglected and harmed. In our area a 7 year old girls was raped and beaten by a guy out on parole. The mom was a junkie not paying attention to her. Did you read about the mom in NY City with 3 kids who kept 2 in her freezer after they died and then beat the third one to within an inch of her life? What is wrong with people? There is no reason for someone to harm innocent children. I will never support anyone or anything that limits how many children someone should have but they should have the decency to be able to support them and if not give them to people who would love to have children but can't. That is my say on that.
