I agree with this post, though I'd also say that most people are adamant about their opinions, regardless of party affiliation.
I've read some pretty offensive things on here posted by those who are Liberal/Progressive; I don't know that the people who posted them were trying to be offensive, though, after all, the things we agree with never come across as offensive to us!! Others though may be going "what the....?"
Anyway, I certainly hope I have not been offensive to anyone. I love to argue politics and sometimes admittedly get carried away!!

I know that you are entitled to your opinions and that it is your signature, but frankly, it is so filled with anger that it is quite off-putting. People don't want to be friends with someone who seems angry all the time, and we'd all like to be friends on the boards.
Seriously, I'm sure you have strong reasons for feeling that way, but as a signature file it has no context and is so shocking to read after a post that you might as well have walked up and kicked someone. I know it ties into one of the posts you wrote in the "who won the debate" thread, but every time I read it, it makes me blink and it is a distraction from what thoughts you are trying to convey. Also, since no one on these boards has asked you to personally support them, their children, or their pets it really seems apropos of nothing.
I'd also like to say that while we've noticed your enthusiasm for the political threads; it would be nice if you weren't so shy about sharing your thoughts on some of the other sections of the boards. It will help us get to know you better, and knowing what videos you like, what moves you've struggled with, and what tips you can share for a better workout and better health will help build the community we all enjoy so much.

C) This is an OPEN forum. Thank being said I see PLENTY of posts on this forum bashing the Republicans. One or two of us conservatives step into the fray and all of a sudden we are asked to leave because our point of view differs and that makes us not nice people. Quite frankly - I am stunned at what is written here about the conservatives. But when a little conservative like myself makes a comment - all holy hell brakes loose. Very one sided.
D) I didn't know there was a quota as to how many posts you can make on this website and on different subjects before you can be a legit poster - please direct me to those instructions if they are somewhere. Does this mean I am only allowed to post if I am logged on a certain time or I have to have so many posts in a day, week, month, year? FYI - I did post recently on the open thread about nutrition - and that was that Milk Duds and Mounds Bars are my fav halloween candy - does that count?

"Actually - the first part is is expanded off of a bumper sticker I saw flying down the highway here in the good ol mitten of MI (worst economy in the U.S.) that said "If ya can't feed 'em - don't breed 'em". Something I whole heartly agree with. In this day and age of contraceptives it's not that difficult to understand how NOT to get preggers. We managed to not have one until we were ready (age 36) and then chose one because that is all we could afford - although the teenage boy is eating us out of house and home!! tehehehe.
The part about the pet is an add on - People need to understand that pets are very much like kids - it takes money & time to take care of them. Sure they are cute when they are puppies (and babies) but there is a reality check at some point. I take pride in the fact that we budget like crazy to take very good care of our dog - and from what I can see on this board there are many animal lovers who do the same. It's the ones (and most assured none on this forum) that don't take care of their pets.

But don't expect me or other conservatives to NOT say anything when he screws something up - and he will - he is human and all elected officials do it at some point or another. Personally I would think the Lib's would want McCain to win - Hillary would be a shoe in for 2012. I think it's appalling the way your own party treated her.
Yes I am a conservative - religious - right wing nut - whatever you want to call it. So why am I a pariah of sorts? I live in a conservative community, no crime, safe for my kid to ride his bike anywhere, know 2/3 of the town by name, friday night lights with the whole town in attendance, church on Sunday with family dinner after, friends over for a beer or two while watching a game on Saturday and the kids are outside shooting hoops, rules for my child to follow at school and know one to blame if he doesn't follow them, kids and parents from both the parochial (my child) school and the public hanging out together with no rift between them, Memorial Day parade every year with hands over hearts and tears in the eyes watching my WWII and Korean War father, FIL salute the flag and a disabled Vietnam Vet brother doing the same - yeah - I am a conservative. Proud of it - just like all of you that are Democrats that have similar stories. So please don't tread on me.

Oh brother. Here we go w/the sick parent again. Is that your excuse for everything? You know, I've actually been going through the same thing since April but you know what? As close as I am w/some of the women here I've never mentioned it, & I've certainly never used it as an excuse for behaving like a jackass.
I believe I've already stated that it's your right to post what you want here (it would be wise to read posts thoroughly before responding).
