CRACY, STRONG AND LOVING IT January 2016 - January 2020

Back to early morning workouts. Yuck. Today I did Chest and Triceps from Giant Sets and Ramped Up Upper Body. I sort of mixed it up a bit. Not sure I like doing these this way but figured I would this week and see how I feel. Didn't feel that hard.

Chest
Chest Flys on the Ball:
20's - 12 reps
Incline Press on the Ball: 20's - 16 reps
Push Ups: 2/2 ct, 2 singes 4x's, 8 singles
Chest Flys on the Step: 20's - 12 reps
Push-Ups: 12/10/8 drop sets
Chest Press on the Step: 20's - 12 reps
Push-Ups: 2/2 ct, 2 singes 4x's
This was from both workouts

Triceps
Close Grip Bench Press:
20's - 8 reps
Close Grip Bench Press: 20's - 12 reps
Dips: 32 reps/16 reps
Lying Extensions: 10's - 3 sets/different patterns
Standing Overhead Extension: 12's - 10 reps
Band Kickbacks: skipped
This was from Ramped Up only

Then I walked on my treadmill for 1 mile.

Going back to work today. :( Loved being off, it went so fast.

Roxie - Nice workout. Sorry you are having dizzy spells. I've been having the too.

21 DF Upper Fix and Strong & Sweaty Ramped up upper body is done. I also walked 3 miles. I decided to follow Cathe's Strong & Sweaty rotation for this month. This way I can play with the workouts. What is up with the music? The next time I do the workout, I will play my own music :)

Debbie - are you following the Strong & Sweaty rotation? I am not sure, if I will follow the rotation for 4 weeks? Do you have problems with your dvd's?

Roxie - thank you! I am am happy about the flooring. It looks amazing, IMO!

Nora - nice job yesterday.

Jodi - good job as well.

Today I did Cathe Live Rock it Sock it and HiiT for Beginners: Walking Intervals from JS on YouTube. Absolutely loved Rock it Sock it and the JS workout was like a slightly amped up walking workout. It was a nice cool down from the kickboxing.

Debbie-I like how you used the new workouts together. Great job!

Belinda-great job with your two upper body workouts! I plan on doing the January rotation after my recovery week from STS next week. I'll probably tweak it a bit to fit my schedule better.

Debbie-sorry to hear you have vertigo wish I knew what caused mine. Good job today.

Today I did Cardio Coach 3 and had a great workout. Still hard to do running workouts so early, but I did well with this today.

Workout was 40 minutes, burned 299 calories (TM said 365), ran 2.76 miles and went 5626 steps.

Also did the ab work from SJ&P. Love that one. Didn't do the planks, though, because my upper back is still a bit tender.

Belinda - No, I'm not following a rotation. I'm not sure I can do all the workouts. I'll check out the rotations and see if any of them will work for me. All my DVD's seem ok so far. I need to watch the other three to make sure.

Jolie - Nice workout! Thanks about my workout and how I put the two S&S's together. It was ok, not sure those are good to use as stand alone for body part workouts. I just thought I'd try it. I'm not sore today. :(

Nora - Nice workout and calorie burn once again. You rocked it yesterday!!!

Roxie - I hate vertigo, it's such a pain to have. Nice workout yesterday!

Next week will be a recovery week and then it will be on to S&S.

I got an unexpected half day so headed to the doctor to see if its my sinuses causing the vertigo. This morning I did Ice Upper Body Standing. I would like to try the new workouts but until I can lay down that isn't going to happen.

Debbie-good job with your run. I couldn't decide whether to treat the vertigo or sinuses.

Long day :( Just getting around to post my workouts: I did S&S Cardio Slam + 21 DF Lower Fix and walked.

Cleaned out my pantry today :) I will not buy in bulk anymore, only buy what I need for that week. Tomorrow I will go through all my spices :)

Jodi - congratulations on finishing STS!! What will you do next?

Roxie - nice job yesterday/today. Hope you feel better soon.

Debbie - how are you liking the workouts so far? The music in Cardio Slam was better than in Ramped Up Upper Body, IMO!

Today I did Back & Biceps from Giant Sets and Ramped Up Upper Body. I mixed it up a bit again. Had a pretty good workout, love the bicep work in that is in both of these workouts and I'm SO GLAD Cathe didn't do any concentration curls!!!

One Arm Row:
30# - 16 reps
One Arm Back Fly: 10 - 10 reps
(Did this twice through, both sides)
Pullovers: 30# - 2 sets/10 reps
Rear Delt Flys: 10's - 2 sets/10 reps rest and then did it again

Hammer Curls:

Sweeping Curls: 15's - 12 reps
Isolation Curls: 12's - 4 reps of very slow pattern

workouts are done :) I did 21 DF Pilates with DH, we also walked. Than I did S& S PHA Training, really liked it :) The music was much better in that one, lol.

Today I did Shoulders from Giant Sets and Ramped Up Upper Body. Had a pretty good workout, these are tough routines and I really felt the burn.

Shoulders

Overhead Press:
15's - 12 reps
Front Raise: 15# - 12 reps
Lateral Raise: 5's - 8 singles/4 partials/8 singles
Overhead Press: 15's - 12 reps
Front Raise: 15# - 12 reps
Lateral Raise: 5's - 8 singles/3 partials/4 singles
Lateral Band Circles: 32 reps each front and back
Rear Band Delt Kickbacks: 32 reps

From Giant Sets:
Overhead Press:
12's - 16 reps
Upright Rows: 15's - 16 reps
Rear Delt Flys: 12's - 16 reps
Incline Front Raise/Arch: 8's - 6 reps each
Seated Lateral Raise: 5's - 2 singles/2-2 ct. 2 times each side 2x's

Tough stuff. Then I actually had time to do a Cardio Coach so I did CC #1. Did really well with this, too.

CC workout was 36 minutes, burned 255 calories, ran 2.38 miles, went 4931 steps. Ave. HR was 122, Max was 147. See how my max is now going down? Last week I was getting readings over 160, WTH??

Oh and I just finished up Insanity Max 30 the entire program both months two times through for a total of 4 months. 1 Time through is 60 days and I did Insanity Max 30 2X though. This was fun and intense for 30 minutes and I did the modified track, happy to have finished.

I did Strong and Sweaty Bootcamp TS #2 rounds 1-4 and this is the first Cathe bootcamp I have ever done and I really liked it I had to lighten the barbell and I need to figure out a few of the moves but was still a good workout.
