Good Morning! :)

So I decided to give Combat a rest y'day in order to try XTrain Legs and I loved it! Great burner! I am sore from it today but it's minimal....

Today's work out is Combat 60, walking lunges and another of the 100 rep challenges perhaps. I have scarecrows and I think overhead shoulder presses left to do. I am kind of afraid to combine the shoulder challenges with Combat though b/c sooo much of the Combat series works the shoulders....:eek:

Jacque:: Great job getting back into your work outs and already about to start the 90 day XTrain rotation? Good for you! You'll be back on the top of your work out game in no time! :D I love the challenges and I am certainly seeing SORE from them! I am going to continue to use them as add-ons and try to up the weights I use a bit every time I do them.

Diana:: So did you get all of your Christmas decs put away? I put away most of the decorations last week but I still have the nativity scene and the actual tree to take to down this week. It's so darned pretty though that I want to leave it up all year! LOL :p Body Pump with Amanda sounds fun! How can you turn that down? Pack those work out clothes girl! :) Happy to hear about DH's weight loss. I know it has been worrying you b/c of the health issues it is causing. I hope he keeps up the good work! :)

Lori:: Yes! I like your challenge idea! Go for it! :) The sun was starting to set before 3pm??? OMG! Sounds like Alaska to me! Yikes! :eek: With the sun setting so early though you will have more time for ;);). LOL So now does your DH "patrol" on horse back all of the time in that crazy cold weather??

Good Morning:)

Yesterday's workout was almost a bust b/c we did a few things. We were late getting home so I worked out while the chicken was in the oven :). I just did 10 mins on the TM/20 mins tabata spin and GS standing leg work. I went heavy with the legs. Not feeling it yet, lets see how the day goes. I'm not sure if I'll get a workout in today cause we have a few things to do with the kids. And at 1 we have to meet the real estate agent and look at a few homes. After that I might get to work out...we will see.

Diana** it's to bad things didn't workout between Amanda and your son, you girls would have been super close. Closer then you are now. Your lucky to have such a good relationship with her cause it doesn't always work that way. I always got a long with DD's grandmother, she is such a sweet lady....not the brightest but sweet:eek: Good to hear that your DH smartened up:) cause the don't always.

Jacque** well in our case DH had his second careers first! Lol. He will be in his 60's before he gets to retire. Some of the guys in his troop were only in their early 20's , they will have it pretty good in a few years. DH wasn't the oldest when he started but he was the oldest that finished. Sounds like you are happy to be back into the swing of working out:)

Wendy** no....DH doesn't ride a horse...lol! That's called the musical ride! They actually get to travel around for (maybe) one to two years just riding that horse at special events. I don't think he'll be signing up for that anytime soon either.

We need to figure out today which school we will be sending DS to. There are two and one is in one area, while the other is on the opposite, closer to dh's work. It would be easy decision if we knew where we were going to be living when we buy. I also think I have a sitter for the baby:D. It's a spouse of one of dh's co workers! Which is pretty sweet! I'm hoping to get a interview on something this week. If I were to get a job, I could spend the week going to her house and getting DS use to his new environment.

Well Happy Monday ladies !:rolleyes:

Didn't get my w/o in y'day as we ended up heading to a friend's who needed assistance putting his flat screen on the wall and then watched DH's fav football team win ! Gooooo Seattle! And now hockey will begin soon . . . not sure how I feel about half a season though.:confused:

Just finished CBS and it is a goodie except that my shoulders really hate push ups as they crack and pop. Last round I did chest presses with weights instead. Hope I was able to go heavy enough to get some soreness out of it. I did strain my lower back a bit the first round !:mad: Am sitting here with my heating pad and took some Aleve.

TG - are you doing the 90 day rotation also? I can feel a little tiredness in my arms as I type.

Wendy - Can't wait to try XT Legs now . . . figure that the last two w/o's made my legs sore so am pretty sure this one will too ! Once I am back into a w/o pattern and have a little stamina, perhaps I'll have to try the challenges along with you. One thing at a time . . . <I need that chant to remember>

Lori - LOL that DH made it a second career. Mine tried too but didn't make it . . . though he was over 40 at the time.:eek: Glad he did it - will be good in the long run. Hope you find a house soon. Here in CA they are few and far between and actually jumped up about 25% over this last year. I was thinking of getting a rental but not sure we can do that now. Good luck with your interview.

Morning ladies ..

SAT was hard strikes - w/2# weighted gloves :confused: then we did premix 5 bis and tris and core - YES MY ARMS WERE FRIED!! SO SORE - and in fact STILL sore!!! rest day SUN - today is to be legs!

DH and I managed to have a good weekend - we went out to eat at an oyster bar SAT night then went to casino for a bit - it was fun!! the oysters were FINE!!! mmm mmm mmm - went to a funeral ystdy - have not heard on our FL friends arrangements yet - :(

Lori- sunset at 3 - WOW - i would be totally depressed!! and here I am fussing b/c ours sets at 5 :confused: so where did you apply for a job - keeping fingers crossed you get a call soon!

DI - good for you DH - so he is trying to eat right and lose weight - GOOD FOR HIM!!! if he gets a good handle on it - maybe he can come off of his meds???

Wendy -cant imagine 100 reps on tris - yikes - I would not make that challenge for sure!!! My tris and bis are my weakest link!

Jacque -I am half way doing the 90 day rotation - I can never follow one exactly - and I know I wont make the entire 90 days - I get so bored - the only rotation I have ever finished was p90x and STS

TG -hope you had a nice weekend!

Good Afternoon!:D

I got my work out done early today! Started around 8:30-9am which is a miracle for me lately! :rolleyes:

I started with a portion of the warm up from XTrain cardio legs, moved on to the 100 rep scarecrow challenge, then on to Combat 60 Live (first time doing this work out and it's fantastic!) and then finally onto 100 walking lunges holding light weights and finished it off with STS Ext. Stretch.....Aaaaahhhhh...:)

Laura:: So how did you like Hard Strikes? I am excited to try it but considering I am already boxing/kickboxing my azz off IDK where I could possibly fit it in right now!:confused: My biceps are my weakest link but the triceps were tough for sure! The burn was crazy by the end and I STILL have DOMS for sure! Glad you were able to have some fun this weekend!!!! You definitely needed it!!!:)

Jacque:: Good job getting CBS done! No worries about the push ups! Just sub in another exercise or modify modify modify! As long as you are working hard it's all good! :) Would love some company on the challenges!!!

Lori:: I guess I need to google what your DH does for a living!:p LOL Good luck with the job interview but be warned...if you get a job off of one application I am gonna be pissed at you :p cause it's been over 9 months for me!:mad: Ofcourse I didn't start looking right away :p so to be fair we'll say it's been 5 months of looking! That's still alot! :eek: Started making phone calls to find a gym to intern me for my PT cert. Fingers crossed that it falls into place rather quickly!!!!:rolleyes:

Ok, time for lunch...I gotta say my appetite has gotten sooooo under control these past few weeks, it's scarey! I changed my eating style from all of those mini meals to three meals a day plus snacks (mostly fruit) and it seems to be working like a charm! I'm almost never starving anymore and I used to be hungry constantly! Hopefully this bodes well for my weight loss ventures! :D

Last night, I fried some good ole pork chops for me and my brother. I’m not a big pork eater; but…..every now and then I’ll eat it, so sat down ate with my bro; big mistake, I ain’t going to lie, they were good I ate 2, man oh man, hours later, I started feeling light headed. This morning woke up felted sick. when I got up to shut off my alarm OH BOY I had to lay back down quick the room started moving. I did not get up till 10:00 called job told them I’m talking ½ day vacation. Lesson learned, stay away from pork:confused:

Hi Ladies,

This morning was Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's, and a BR Interval sweatfest! I'm loving the Xtrain w/o's since they use heavier weights which is my preference over the more endurance type w/o's. Definitely need to add more cardio to this rotation for my liking though.

Yesterday I did Xtrain Legs and pretty much doubled Cathe's weight on all the exercises. My hammies are tight today, but I really expected to be much more sore.

TG-do you think the pork was undercooked? I don't think pork chops would give you vertigo though.:p Whatever the cause, I hope you feel better soon.

Wendy-good job with the diet. Whatever works for you...just do it! Hard Strikes isn't one of my favs, perhaps for a lighter day maybe. I think you're comment talked me out of doing BB coaching. I'm not in the position where I can be losing money. I may be better off getting a second job if necessary, one with a guaranteed weekly paycheck.

Lori-happy house hunting. Are the kids nervous about school? I guess DS probably doesn't care as much, it will be more difficult for DD. What are these jobs that you've applied for? Hopefully you find something that pays enough to make it worth putting DS2 in daycare. I'm kinda glad I only had 6 weeks maternity leave, it must be so stressful to leave him after being home for a year.

Jacque-You are doing great, keep it up! I'm in the middle of week 2 of the rotation. I take my rest days as needed and will be adding more cardio to the rotation. My house needs some TLC too, we just aren't motivated to do it. We will be getting some estimates for some work though. It's hard to prioritize when you don't know how much some of these jobs will cost. I'm so over hockey, I just don't care anymore. Isn't this the second time in 3 or 4 years the NHL didn't have a season.

Laura-nice work! I only used 1# gloves on Hard Strikes. DH is making progress on his diet and weightloss, but unfortunately he doesn't want to exercise. He said he will after he loses more weight, but that exercise makes his joints hurt.

Diana:: Don't let me talk you out of the coaching thing if you want to give it a try. I am one failure but there are thousands of success stories! I think the key to being successful is getting coaches under you though and that was something that I was never able to do. FWIW, if you wanna give it a shot, I think I might work on getting 2 people who will sign up under you BEFORE you even sign up! Then once you sign up you know you have 2 ppl who will sign up under you and get you to the next level quickly. I think that's the key! OTOH, if you decide against doing it at all, I ofcourse would completely understand but I'm not trying to talk you out of it either. Good luck w/whatever you decide to do! :)

Up ready to work out but warming up my back a little - the house is sooooo cold until the heater kicks on and then it is too warm to w/o so since the forums were down last night and I couldn't see the posts from y'day . . . thought I'd bump us back to the 1st page before working out.

Today is Cardio Legs . . .

Work is busy since assistant is out and I have to do payroll for the first time since we switched to auto downloading timecards from clocks and web punching. Hope I have a few minutes today to catch up . . . otherwise I'll be back tonight sometime.

This morning, I did cardio leg blast. ouch! I really enjoyed this workout kind of reminded me of Legs & glutes……….a bit. Here's what I plan, not sure if I'm going to follow Cathe's 90 day rotation to the T; I know me; on the days of cardio or legs I probably do another one of her workouts not all the time but.....would love to get in Les Mills work.

Cardio legs, really is an awesome workout, but didn’t fatigue my legs (I’m still standing):cool::cool::cool:;) I know once I do the 80 minute leg workout that’ll do it for me:eek:) But all in all I had a blast.

Good Morning:)

No workout yesterday...just as I suspected. I probably could have gotten one in last night but boy, was I tired! I didn't go to bed the night before until almost 1 and up shortly after 6. The baby didn't really have a afternoon nap. He tried but we went through a car wash and it woke him:D so he went to bed early and then I had a mini nap on the couch. I was planning on running outside today for a long run but it looks as if we might have had a little snow over night....and I don't like running when I don't know what's under my feet. In saying that, it may be Sundays snow I'm looking at on the patio.

No new workouts yesterday:(. Lulu....but no workouts:eek: rather have the workouts! Lets hope they arrive today. Pretty bad when you start dreaming about them. I dreamt that they had the same cover as the ctx series:eek:

So I received an email yesterday from the girl who runs the energy center. It's basically one big building. It has DD's school, a collage, ice service running track, gym...etc. She wants me to come in and discuss employee contracting for PT. I really don't know what this involves. I don't know if it would be commission base...if they pay you chump change....so I'll go talk to her on Thursday and see what that's about.

Looking at houses yesterday was a complete waist of time. There wasn't much to look at and the real estate agent had the personality of my boot. And not my nice pair:eek:. We only looked at two. One was on the other side of town, old, siding was ugly but it did have a lot of upgrades. It was cozy. The biggest downfall was the musty smell in the downstairs basement..oh and the price. $352 for a old house with ugly siding and smells musty....The duplex we looked at wasn't finished and wasn't real big either. That was $348 with no basement completed which means DD wouldn't have a room. No rush anyway. It's not as if we can buy a house yet anyway. If we had fell in love with something I would have been devastated that we couldn't buy it.

The kids seems to be good with school...well, DD anyway. DS never wants to go. Everyone seems really nice though. They go for the full day. They use to come home for lunch before...now I don't have to see them anymore until 3:20!:D

Jacque** how is your back?? Having rental properties is always a good thing. A house is a good investment. I keep telling myself that if my house doesn't sell , then I will just keep it and rent it. This wouldn't be the ideal situation of course. It's not really a rental. If there was a basement appt it could be! Housing here is suppose to sky rocket soon so I want to get something sooner then later and hopefully we will make some money when it's time to leave.

TG** so you OD'd on pork:p. I'm not a big pork fan either...I'm not much of a meat fan really, but I'll eat it.

Laura** glad to hear you had a nice weekend with DH! No doubt you deserved it. I applied on any jobs where the salary was decent! Lol.

Diana** 6 weeks isn't much and a year is to much. The kids are to attached at that age. 6 months would be ideal really, which is the way it use to be here. There was talk about them increasing it to two years. I don't know if this is still going ahead of they put a stop to it cause that was a while ago. I don't think anyone needs two years mat leave. It's weird cause you pick your best weeks when signing up for unemployment. By the time I did that, with my OT and call outs, I was making almost as much on ei and not paying for child care. So me being home was no different. A lot of people need to go back b/c they are only getting 55% of their salary. DD is better then DS when it comes to gong to school. The girl she met called her last night and I think she is going to meet her at the school, that's pretty nice of her.

Wendy** well dear God....I better not be waiting 5 months for a job. This place is booming, not hard to find employment at all. That's what I say now.....fingers crossed! I'm hoping (if this PT thing is word of mouth more then hourly) to be able to do it a little with a full time job.

I'll bbl! Time to get lunches ready. Did I tell you that I don't have to see these kids anymore till 3:20!:eek::eek::D After 3 weeks with this crowd...I'm ready!

Morning Ladies!!

Well we survived Xtrain legs - YOWZA .. talk about a ffffn butt and hammie burner :eek::eek::eek: me and SIL were in agony - I swear ya'll Cathe must have peaked in on my classes this workout was JUST like what I used to teach - and Core #2 is almost IDENTICAL to the ab work I did after plyo! :eek: me and SIL have been laughing and saying .. WOW .. Cathe must have spied on my class!! :p:p:p I am NOT as sore as I expected - well not yet anyway - I was expecting the PAINFUL DOMS .. but so far nothing .. WEIRD!!!!

Tonight is Supercuts - that is my favorite w/o in this series so far!! it is not in the 90 day rotation till like week 4 or 5 ???? wonder why???? SIL hasnt done it .. and IA w/Di I think we both need a bit more cardio in this rotation - think SIL and I are gonna add on a Tabata before the weight workouts!

Lori - WOW that is some expensive housing - crap!!!! and it is yet to boom??? Good gosh - enjoy your first day w/o the kiddos!! you wont know what to do with yourself!! LOL hoping you get a call from the center .. that sounds awesome and a good way to get yourself known as the awesome trainer you are!!! Wendy may have a hissy fit if you find something right away :p:p we will keep her calm tho!! LOLOL

Wendy - I see you ordered WarriorZ new series - OH YOU KNOW I am gonna bite on that too - I havent read about it - I dont have sound on work computer so couldnt tell about the music or what she was saying - but I think I am IN anyway!!! See she has a "tabata" one .. wow .. that is THE THING here lately I guess!!!

TG: pork did that to you??? we eat pork - it dont set well on my tummy sometimes - kinda heavy .. but we eat the leaner cuts like the tenderloin. But vertigo?? yikes were you sick to your stomach too???? glad you are better! I think I am the carnivor in this group - I HAVE to have meat!!!

Jacque - hope the back is better - I didnt think it got too cold where you are?? it has been in the low 30's here in the morning - it is to warm up this week tho . thank goodness (sorry Lori I know you have sub zero temps and we should NOT be complaining)

Di - ya up your poundage on your gloves and you will see huge difference on hard strikes - kickboxing is NOT my favorite - it bugs my knee - but that was a fun workout - I like the boxing combos more than the leg kicks! Plus she had some good cardio gonig on there too! Congrats to DH - maybe when it warms up some he will start walking????

As you heard AL won the national championship AGAIN - I am proud of the SEC .. but AL is our rivals and they are soooooo arogant - we gotta another year of blow hard bragging to endure *sigh*

Check in from work. For some reason I've had issues getting into the forums yesterday and today. GGGRRR

Anyway, I ended up doing tabatacize through level 4 instead of Imax 3. I'd like to blame Wendy, but I just shouldn't have gotten on the computer this morning....but when I did....I saw that Wendy purchased the WarriorZ w/o's and had to check them out. :p It's just that I need my cup of coffee before I w/o and that's when I check in. Need to back up my wake up time another 10 minutes starting next week.:eek:

I did go for a walk this afternoon, it's too windy and cold to run...well for me anyway.;) Tomorrow morning is Cardio Leg Blast and Thursday will be supercuts...for the first time. My flight leaves early Friday and I won't be back until Monday night. The only planned w/o is bodypump with Amanda. I'll have my tablet though and could do BR or Zwow.

Laura-I did have dom's from the leg w/o, but the second time I did it I doubled Cathe's weights. I'm planning on doing supercuts on Thursday morning....I can't wait to try it out. Other than Ride, it's the only w/o I haven't tried. It'll put me a little off the rotation, but I don't care. Dh plans on walking after he loses more weight. I'm going to suggest he come to the rec ctr on my class nights and just walks around the track for an hour or lifts weights.

Lori-I can't see spending that kind of money for something old or that needs to be "fixed up". Good luck on your job interview, I'm sure you will do great!.

TG-I really like Cardio Leg Blast! Glad you are feeling better.

Jacque-I hear on the stiff joints etc. My knee and hips have been really bothering me. I've started taking Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM daily. It's been about a month and I'm not sure if I notice a difference or not.

Hello Ladies. :)

Sorry I didn't check in this morning. It was a rest day anyway. I went shopping with my mom for a dress for our Vegas trip in March since we will be renewing our vows while we are there. :) I found a few I really liked but ofcourse they didn't have my size. :mad: I have some time though....

So I was planning on doing yoga only tmrw and picking up with my rotation on Thursday but now I am planning another shopping trip with my mom on Thursday so the shorter the work out planned for that day the better. I'll have to re-think my plan and maybe do more tmrw then orginally intended so I have LESS to do on Thursday...

So as you saw on FB I purchased Zuzana's DVD set. I couldn't resist. Not for that price! I know I can get all of her workouts on her site for free plus everything on BR and I love them but following a dvd is soooo much easier so I had to buy it! I wonder who's gonna cave next!? ;):p

DS is in a recreational wrestling league and tonight is his first match so we have to be there at 5:30 which means I don't have much time...For practices we drop him off between 6 and 6:15 and pick him up an hour later. For the match, we will stay and watch obviously. :)

K, gotta go....BBL for personals!:cool:

DS did great last night! He won 2 out of 3 matches! Wooh hoo! :D

So today's plan was supposed to be yoga only but I now have more dress shopping plans with my mom tmrw so I'd like to only have a short work out to do before hand. That being said I am going to re-think today's plan...

So I didn't weigh myself for the first couple of days on WW. Then I weighed myself, waited a few days and weighed again (yesterday) and the # had gone up! :mad::confused: Well I got on the scale this morning bc I couldn't blv it had gone up. There was no reason it should have! Thankfully it must've been one of those fluke weigh in's coz this morning it showed I'm down almost a pound from the initial weigh in. Phew! :rolleyes: I think my official weigh in is tmrw or friday....fingers crossed that it's a good one!

Diana:: Have a great time with your girls! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Supercuts. I'm excited to try that one soon! Sory I enabled you on the Z work out but you know you wanted it anyway! :p

Laura:: ITA that XTrain legs is crazy painful! :eek: I was cursing after almost every exercise! :p So didja order the Z workouts yet? ;)

Lori:: Best of luck with the PT interview! Maybe I need to move to Cold Lake too! Once I actually get a job PT'ing I am going to investigate getting my group exercise cert for kickboxing! I figure I could teach classes and/or just learn proper technique etc that I can use in PT'ing as well! Ofcourse, having a PT job first would help! The guy fom the gym that I called about an internship didn't call me back :mad: but I ran into someone last night who took the PT course with me and she said she got picked up as in intern immediately bc she called a gym on the list they give you of places that have participated in the past. I just tried this other place b/c I liked the one manager I interviewed with for a front desk position. She said though that her gym wasn't the good for interning and suggested I call this other location but he's the one that hasn't called me back. :confused: Today I will a gym off the list and hopefully I'll have the luck that the gal I spoke to last night did!

Any who, my plan is to go home and push out Xtrain bi's and tri's and do the 100 rep challenge (yeah right):cool: lol. Really tho, If I do, this would put me back on schedule. I shall see :eek:

Wendy-yes, I caved. I love Zuzana and Amanda prefers her w/o's better than BR, although she does both. The price was so good I ordered one for her too. Congrats on your 10yr anniversary. I'm not a Vegas fan myself, but I'm sure the two of you will have a great time. It's our 25yr anniversary this year, makes me sound old...but I'm not.:eek: My weight is holding, annoying...but I'm not giving up.

DH is working today so it's just me and the babe...once I get the others off to school. I have to drop them off and pick them up. I guess at some point they will be taking the bus but right now there's no need if I'm not working.

They both had a good day at school! I thought DD would cause she is outgoing anyway but of course, DS is a different breed. But low and behold....he wants to go back to! They go outside 3 times in the run of a day and I think it must really break the day up for him. Now...I don't think he'll ever say "I can't wait to go to school"...but at least he's not saying "I'm not going"

Yesterday's workout was HR and 4.5 miles on the TM. Today I'm going to do more cardio....maybe a spin workout. I'd also like to do shoulders and bics. No workouts yesterday...no mail regardless. I don't know how often the land lord goes and I don't want to be a nag but I want my mail *amnit! Last week we called him and he said he went but there was nothing for us. Oddly enough, the next morning the mail box on the house was full, I was so confused. I thought he had gotten the mail and put it there but there was stuff for him. Then later that day he came by with more mail. So I think that he didn't check the mail when he said he did and that the mail man went to put more mail in the box but he couldn't cause it was to full! I think he got caught in his own lie cause when he came by we gave him his mail:mad:

Laura** you guys are in charge of keeping Wendy under control and good luck with that one:p. DOMS set in after?? Nothing like some good pain in the rear! I went heavier with HR yesterday and I don't really feel it today (yet)

Diana** I bet you are getting excited to go see the girls. Who cares about your workouts, just go and enjoy the girls. Every minute your there should be spent with them....unless you could workout when they are sleeping.

Wendy** ohhhhhh.....renewing vows sounds like fun! What kind of dress are you looking for? And a Vegas trip too......I'd love to be going somewhere. Although I feel like I'm "somewhere" now...it's just not warm!
