Hey I have a question that hopefully one of you great ladies can answer for me. I am thinking about doing some kind of body cleanse but do not know what to buy. like a colon cleanse or something. can anyone help me out with names of products that actually work?
Thanks a ton for any input.

I've used this as well (after Laura mentioned it before), and think it is good quality and effective.

One tip: if you visit their website, sign up for their contest to win free products. You probably won't win the free stuff (but could), but you will definitely get a code for $5 off your order (and you can sign up every month and keep getting coupons).

Another brand of cleanses which I recommend (as does my acupuncturist) is ReNew life. They offer a variety of cleanses (a 'first time'cleanse, parasite cleanses, liver cleanses, total-body cleanses, etc.). If you look online, you can find places that sell it below the retail you will find in stores. I've looked over their info and ingredients, and I haven't noticed that they contain any questionable ingredients (like harsh laxatives).

Hi Ladies,

I have been using the Ultimate Cleanse by Natures Secret.
I have had great results and it is all natural.

Go to naturessecret.com.

Me and my DH have been doing the one from drnatura.com and it really works for us. My stomach has gone down and he has lost some inches on his midsection. He has seen 3 parasite type things (gross I know) so far. I haven't but I feel alot lighter. I think it is very easy to use and I love the way the powder tastes. The tea doesn't bother me but my DH didn't like it at all at first. He said a couple of days ago that he is actually starting to like the tea lol. We are completing our first month tomorrow. We ordered our second month and also a month of Toxinout.

Try doing a search in this forum for Master Cleanse. There is no product to buy (except lemons and a certain kind of maple syrup).

Someone posted in detail their 10 day experience with this cleanse. It was gross but very good information on what to expect. Don't read it if ya just don't wanna know.

I was only able to do 4 days but I really felt great and actually tomorrow I am starting again with the goal of doing all 10 days.

If you search the web you will find out alot more about it so you will never have to purchase the book. But again, the best info I got was from that post.

Good luck!

Okay, I posted and then it disapeared. So I'll post again and as soon as I do my first post will reapear.

luv2WorkHard posted a master cleanse journal titled ,"Master Cleanser Journal". Do a search on this forum for it. Very informative but not for the squeemish (she warns you ahead of time).

I was able to do it for 4 days and I felt great. No product to buy.

Good luck!

I've been reading past posts about cleansing. I read one where you swore by something called Oxypowder. Do you still use that? Is it an actual colon cleanse? I've never done one before and just want something gentle and not to hard to do. I can start it on a Friday night but will still have to go to work the next week. Any info you can provide will help a lot I'm sure. I also take probiotics each night with a fish oil capsule. Would I still take those? Thanks!

There is a book called Raw Food Detox. YOu can use it as a change in eating or as an actual detox, colon cleanse.

So, why does someone cleanse? Do you have chronic constipation problems? IBS? Just curious...I've been tempted to do this, but am a bit scared as I've been through several "medical cleanses" when I was sick a few years ago - NOT pleasant, and almost painful. But, I am gassy a LOT (at least the family thinks so...;)). I have no, ahem, infrequency of bowel movements, though.

Do these really make you feel better? Laura- are you on oxypowder all the time? I can't help but see Billy Mays spewing forth about oxyclean when I was reading up on oxypowder...

OMG, Heidi! I had to click on Laura's link just to be SURE that it wasn't OxyPowder we were talking about here! LOL And I'm glad you asked the question, because I'm curious as well. I don't have any of the symptoms some of these sites list: constipation, irregularity, bloating, etc. So why would I want to cleanse???? Somebody fill me in, please!

What the heck am I cleansing???
This isn't poop we are talking about is it???
I am confused also. Someone tell me the benefits of this. Is it for constipation??? Is it one of those detox your body type things?? And not to sound too stupid but what the heck is a COLONIC????

OK, probably TMI, but I use it for constipation. When I started Atkins about 5 years ago I needed something b/c you don't get much fiber on the diet. I tried a fiber supplement but it didn't help at all--in fact, it seemed to make things worse. So I did some research & Oxypowder seemed like the best solution.
