Good afternoon, cheetahs!
Wow ~ I just want to say
thank you all for sharing your wisdom, experiences, & support!! It’s extremely helpful to hear some different perspectives. Each post was like a little pick-me-up. And I just have to say how
nice it is to have the kind of support we have found here at this check-in. How is it possible?? Most of us have never even met! I continue to be amazed by all of you wise, wonderful women!
Marcia :: Great w/out last night ~ how did you like YogaX? The races do sound like an excellent motivator to help you reach your goals. Now that you’ve reviewed the P90 nutrition plan, what do you think of it? I hope mine arrives soon!!
Wendy :: another killer workout!…I do know just what you mean – I hate leaving the house in this weather – it’s positively BITTER out there!! Or a bit nipply as Clark Griswold would say… I am usually very critical of my own photos but I cannot imagine that your progress pics look nasty – you are buff, girl!
Judy :: hope you can rest & knock out that cold!
Laura :: we had parent conferences, and my team ordered out…I had a crab cake sandwich and cole slaw, and I housed every chip that it came with – OINK. When I went to go pick up the order, I was going to go whole hog and drink a Coke (I rarely drink soda!) until the cashier told me it was $1.69 for a can. Helloooo? Are they out of their gourds?? No, thank you! Anywho, I’m still pretty stuffed myself and need a little downtime before k’boxing. Hope you have a good run!
Gayle :: wow, you guys were really hit hard west of the city, huh? How was your day with the kindergarteners?
Barb :: it’s interesting, though, that the Fluidity bar seems to be getting good reviews, even around here where folks expect & enjoy intense workouts…This program says you can see results in 10 workouts, so I’m going to give it that much before I make a final judgment on it. I’ll be curious to see what Laura thinks, too. Hope you got all your errands in!
Christine :: glad you have a couple of extra days with DH…Where is he off to now?…Wow, that’s some pretty deep insight you’ve got there…and I am inclined to think there could be some truth to that. I think what’s been going on is that she now spends most of her time with him but expects me to be available when it’s convenient for her. Because I’m not always available, I think that’s what she perceives as being distant.
Carole :: hey, birthday girl!!
How nice of your co-workers to throw you a little party. What movie are you going to see tomorrow?…I hope you’re having a GREAT day!!…Thanks for your thoughts…Yes, it does change the dynamics of things when two members of the group decide to couple up…It’s been that way since summer, and there has really been no awkwardness until now…I think things became serious & solidified over the holidays…his divorce was just final in November, I believe. He had been separated for quite some time and it was ugly.
Hey Laurie! Did you ever get my email?
Linda :: Also a good point…I think that is definitely true that she caters to him…To some degree, I understand that is normal, esp. in the beginning of a relationship…But I think she has been very deliberate about letting him have “his way” most of the time. He does have kids, so naturally, the group’s plans have always adapted to his family life. But she has expressly said things like: she doesn’t want to annoy him in ways that his ex-wife did...she wants to make things easy for him by going along with whatever he wants...she's only turned down sex once, etc. So, she definitely has a strategy for not losing him. Enjoy today’s rest day!!
Sunny :: holy smokes, 12 clients!!! So you were missing Cathe, huh? Hope you enjoyed your KPC fix! Thank you for your thoughts – you made me smile!
Karen :: I think I did try the salmon once at Outback, but I am a steak & potatoes kinda girl so I will probably have to go for the 9 oz. Victoria’s Filet. Yum!…I appreciated reading a perspective from the other side, so-to-speak…thank you!…Good job on the TM run, yoga, and meditation!
Susan :: glad today's massage hit the spot for you!...Hey, no gloating over your weather out there!!
Shelly :: love the cheetah race!! We’ll want pics, of course!
…Simply said, thank you for the kind words…Got the bday info…will add that to my list. Enjoy your w/out!
Kristi :: that’s great that you have such a good relationship with your ILs.
OK, I need to get crackin' with kboxing. If I don't stop back later, talk to you in the AM. And thanks again!!
