People practice yoga for a wide variety of reasons including, but not limited to, spirituality, stress management, or as a form of physical exercise in and of itself. Here in our fitness facility, I’ve noticed that some members tend to enjoy it as a light day or recovery day while reserving the remainder of their workout time for resistance training and cardiovascular exercise. For others, yoga is the main focus of the majority of their workout. No matter how you choose to practice yoga in your own fitness schedule, there is no doubt that it not only improves flexibility, joint mobility, balance, and body awareness, but it can also help to improve core and overall strength.

I am so happy to see another yoga workout from Cathe. I like yoga on a light day or after a heavy weight workout. YAY ;)
@nickisteen I have PERFECT30 since the launch but have not visitede Yoga Strength enough. I just can not recall doing it to the point of figuring out how and when to implement it into my rotations.

Yoga for me is more for relaxation, mobility, balance, core and overall body awareness. I mainly want it for recovery.

Here comes the question : "How does yoga strength feels to you?" Does it meet my requirement list above? Is it intense on the muscles. " What purpose do you use it for?"

I do not use it often (prefer weights most of the time), but I find it helpful when I'm recovering from illness (cold, flu, etc.) to "get back into the groove" without overdoing it (I also use Jessica Smith's Body Fusion for the same purpose). I rarely get ill, but when it happens... I've learned (the hard way lol) not to overdo it.

The second reason I'll use it is in combination with Cathe's mobility workout - I'll do the strength yoga first and follow it up with her mobility workout. I find that to be a good combo when I've had a busy week and feel I've "shorted" myself in the area of strength but don't want to give up my mobility/"feel" good workout to make up for the strength shortage. I go into my next week motivated, knowing I did my body some good, even if it wasn't my normal strength training. It helps me mentally to go into the next week's workouts with a positive attitude. Not sure if that make sense? I can get pretty frustrated with myself when life gets so busy that I can't do my planned workouts, so I use it to pacify myself. lol
